The worse aspect of this fact that ASICs now mine BTX is that from now on BTX is at a very high risk to suffer from a 51% attack. And in middle or long term this will more likely happen. Is the team urgently addressing this crucial issue?

see this post above : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1883902.msg48378144#msg48378144 .  from it I know they are "aware" of the situation; as to whether they are urgently addressing it I can't say, but they have not disappeared.
It is unfortunate, but if I see BTX is a coin with quite a lot of demand, but instead has the highest level of risk. how the team faced this issue? whether they have been preparing to deal with this situation?

the question is when all those coins drop when deposits re-open , price will tank hard methinks .

what's say you all ? I NEVER thought we could tank like this .

Vlad was right . I eat my hat .

please explain ?

Your response is uncalled for and unfounded, based on garbage and the lack of knowledge of the project. We have been around for a LONG time and I will NEVER tolerate that sort of response from you or any one esle.

Respond in a civil manner, or go elsewhere to post the verbal diarrhea that you just spewed.

i just want to say something for me very interesting: this thread, have more replies than bch's thread. In my hopinion this is great.

This is an interesting remark, which is suggesting that coins can exist with a huge value even though they don't have a real community behind. So the value of BCH is possibly NOT the consequence of the existence of a committed community, but just of a committed set of big speculators. Just as an idea...

A large team of devs, tons of free press, large backers, over 1,000 patents and listed on every exchange might also be factors worth considering, eh?

1000 patents? please expand ...

perhaps the word is out BTX is the ONE coin to RULE them all ...

one coin to find them (btc)

one coin to bind them (forked coins)

ONE coin to RULE them all BITCORE !!

exchanges predicting demand and closing withdrawal to cover bases? hmmmmmm..

... and a current accumulation phase .....? just what is going on

What, they only have one dev?  That sucks!  I’m seeing $.10 if that’s the case.

I see 7 on GitHub, with varying degrees of activity. 2 or 3 main ones.

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/graphs/contributors

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-lib-btx/graphs/contributors

If this is true then there are a lot of misinformation about the project. It's a great difference between 1 and 7 active developers!!!

the active developers are what i mean by the "main ones." so i see 2 or 3.  the reason for the "or" is that there are a number of sub-projects under LIMXTEC which all support the Bitcore ecosystem (for example the bitcore-lib-btx mentioned above is a sub-project), and each contributor to those subprojects can have their own bitcore related subprojects in the works which have not yet been added to the list of LIMXTEC subprojects. I went ahead and further analyzed this, without going into each contributor's subprojects, so the below doesn't reflect any work done which has not yet been merged or accepted into the deployed code.

the main project (i.e. the "core" project) that I see is this one :

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BitCore/graphs/contributors

the subprojects that I see are these (note the contributors listed are those from the project that these subprojects forked from, so only bitcore developers which contributed to the main branch are relevant) :

https://github.com/LIMXTEC/Bitcore-BTX-RPC-Installer/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/awesome-bitcore-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-lib-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BTX-Paperwallet/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-node-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/Bitcore-BTX-Media-Gallery/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/BTXinsight-docker/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/insight-ui-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/insight-api-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-build-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-message-btx/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/electrum-bitcore/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-seeder/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/btx-convert/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcore-wallet/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/bitcorej/graphs/contributors
https://github.com/LIMXTEC/PAPERWALLET/graphs/contributors

there are other subprojects under LIMXTEC which have titles that lead me to believe are unrelated to bitcore, so I have ignored those.

the main bitcore-specific contributors I see across the project and all of these subprojects are (in no particular order) :

dArkjON ( https://github.com/dArkjON ) - 339 commits over the past year.  this is "Jon"
dalijolijo ( https://github.com/dalijolijo ) - 1,386 commits over the past year.  this is "David"
TheTrunk ( https://github.com/TheTrunk ) - 624 commits over the past year.
joshafest ( https://github.com/joshafest ) - 60 commits over the past year.

so it looks to me like there are 4 active developers on the project, at the current time. This is open source so new people could add themselves and others could fade away, so the number of active developers at any one time is not set in stone.

... a tree of truth in a forest of lies ,

we know Bitcore is a go !

Payments have been sent out! Thank you all for staying true and loyal, we appreciate all of the support!

I've been given an end date for this Campaign by the BTX team. We will run it for another 3 weeks meaning it'll end on November 18th. We might open up the campaign again in the future but right now they want to focus their marketing funds on other areas. Thank you all for the time you've spent with us, now let's make these last few weeks the best we've had!
advance the BTXM , load the trebuchet !

POW/POS for Bitcore would be a great feature.
I see no reason why this should be a security issue.
The coin is performing terrible the last months. Sure the bear market does its best for this situation.
So this feature would be great and POS coins are also securing a network.

And also there is demand of a big exchange. You can see what happens to a coin like "Ravencoin" when it is listed on an exchange like Binance!

A forum like deep onion has would also be a good decision to bundle news and investors. Its an idea which costs nearly nothing!

I asked you guys to keep updating ONE post with the weekly reports, not make a new post for each week. I am now asking you to NOT make any reports at all as I will manually check all the accounts instead. Thank you!

... just a repost for the newcomers ;-)

I don't find whitepaper, where is it?

Well I found the whitepaper here: https://bitcore.cc/Bitcore_Whitepaper.pdf

And on page 15 under 3.2.5 Lightning Network Compatibility, the mention of "smart contract functionality" called my atention.

How do we use that smart contract functionality on bitcore, It should be the focus of the bitcore team to show how to use it, that would put bitcore back on the top 100 cryptos again!

"SMART CONTRACTS"!!!

If smart contracts functionality is not yet available on the bitcore blockchain it should be the main focus of the bitcore development team!
If already available, the manuals and interfaces to develop and use them should be priority!

Any info on that anyone?

..... somewhere in an interview or paper , one of the team talk about Lightning Network is in the Bitcore CORE , and if wanted
can be enabled easily , if its scaling your looking at look at the wallet view of BTX vs PHOTONS and look how small the transactions cost can be .... when placed with micro transactions fees , there are more than enough units in 1 BTX in photons to accommodate a lot ? thoughts ...?
