1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.4.0) on: February 28, 2018, 06:24:21 AM
I'll pile on here with some very unscientific numbers.

Tested out bminer for a bit.  Reported a an average of ~1650 sol/s vs ~1550 on EBWF.  MPH reported ~1500 for both miners over a 24 hour period.  (sporadically checked).  Power usage was ~30-50w higher with bminer (according to UPS).

While bminer was working, it didn't seem to really beat EBWF too badly.  Unfortunately, bminer did crash and restart.  When it came back up, it was mining another address on nanopool.  After some playing around, it turns out that just starting the bminer executable with no arguments causes it to mine for the dev full time...

This seems incredibly dishonest.  @realbminer is evasive and vague about the private connection, and the rosiest estimates that I've read in this thread put bminer less than a percent ahead of other miners, assuming nothing crashes.  Hardly worth it in my book.  Definitely gives the impression that someone wanted some of that sweet dev fee income and threw integrity to the wayside.
