Has anyone mined FTC on MPH? SMoS w/ ccminer-tpruvot 2.2.5 shows that I'm hashing around 8,100 kh/s, however MPH is only showing around 6,600 kh/s. Any thoughts?
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Optiminer/Equihash 2.1.0 supporting Zcash, Bitcoin Gold, Minexcoin, Zero.. on: March 31, 2018, 02:11:12 PM
Is anyone using this in SMoS? How does it compare to dstm or bminer w/ nvidia cards? I asked on the SMoS page but got nothing back. cheers!

...

Guys, do you have some problems that stats disappear in dashboard ?
Can You guys tell me if this is happening only in claymore or in other miners too ? I mean empty core.memory field in dashboard.

I noticed several times today, in the hash rate col especially but mining doesn't seem to be interrupted.

The rigs are mining RVN so today's cases are not Claymore miners.

It usually comes back to normal after awhile (ie. 10-15 seconds)

same here

Yes, i have had the same issue for about a month. I assume it has something to do with the lag, as the console is usually a few rounds/blocks behind what my attached monitor is reporting. it doesn't really bother me, as you said, it comes back rather quickly...but would be a nice to have a fix

is there a way to change the GPU's LED colors in simple mining? Oddly enough , have 2 zotac 1080 ti's that display red led and one that displays a blue pulsing led. Or, can they be changed in windows, would that change be carried over to SMoS?

You can change them in Windows and they will keep their settings in any other OS. Worked for my Zotac 1070ti Amp Extreme's.

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. In Windows, which software did you use?

FireStorm_V2.0.0.026E (for GTX 1070 Ti AMP Extreme only) There should be other versions on the Zotac site.

Zotac's website shows the same version for GTX 1080 TI AMP Extreme, so i'll give it a try. Thanks!
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: working wifi in smos on: March 29, 2018, 04:35:52 PM
Don't know if anyone has gotten wifi to work but I have with one of my old dongles:

Ssh into your rig and run these commands:

Quote
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install network-manager
sudo service network-manager start
sudo nmgui

From there you can choose your wifi and enter creds.  This isn't a should you run wifi post, but you can if you need to.  For one of my rigs I have to run wifi and this has been solid for a week.

Not all dongles are going to work.  I have two and only my old linksys dongle seemed to work correctly.

Disclaimer:  I hold no responsibility for what happens when you run those commands, but they should be safe.  Like I said, my rig has been fine afaik.
I have been using this Netgear AC1200 Range Extender for over a month and have had no lost connections. I just use a short cat6 cable from the extender to my rig.

Anyone else having this issue?

W10 works like a charm when i boot up.

https://prnt.sc/ixut0d

- Ethernet cable is working, already tried different cables, but the one that it has worked on W10.

- This happens since first boot

- Config.txt has my email

- The rig doesn't appear on Rig list to set up the group for it

- I think it doesnt have internet, because on first boot it doesnt update the miners or simplemining itself

- already tried build 1146 and 1143 on different usb and sticks

- 4G is enabled and GEN3 on Bios

- Running lastes Bios for MSI Z270-A Pro v15

Still getting the same error

I'm running 5 - Rx 570, and 1 Rx 470

in Bios, make sure your LAN is enabled? Also, most of the content i see online, recommends GEN2, at least for Nvidia cards, I'm not sure if it's the same for AMD. i saw someone else with an earlier post, that their router wasn't allowing access, they had to change something in their router settings. i'm sure if you search "router" in this forum, it won't take long to find.

has anyone done a recent comparison of optiminer-equihash2.1.2 and dstm-v0.6.0 w/ nvidia cards for zec? Would love to know where the advantage is.

I have just another info
Bminer make 1-2% plus share than DSTM on BTG suprnova. (this have under win10 too)
20×1060 6G c:150 m:400 p:75
4×1070 c:120 m:400 p:110

I'll try optiminer a few day, and will share results

Yes, i tried bminer 5.4.0 for 24 hours and a had a lot more invalid shares than dstm (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2519271.msg31858170#msg31858170 see my post #1005). maybe the latest version of bminer 5.5.0 is better with less invalid shares?

I saw the colors for a few hours and then they were gone, can U please put the colors back I really liked them and I´m sure everyone else will like them to !!!
I will but the coloring was uncompatible with some miner like bminer so we need to make some more exceptions becasue it caused some problems  in view.
We will get them back, do not worry Cheesy
Anyway please test telegram, it should be treated as BETA so mistakes could happen.
We will be implementing more setting into telegram notifications.
Right now the threshold is 15 minutes after program sens notification of offline rig.

From my Telegram app on my phone, I found @simpleminingbot and sent the confirmation number but did not receive any type of response, is this normal?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: March 23, 2018, 05:43:46 PM
I have download OS and write it to USB drive. After that I enter email address in config.txt file and boot rig.
OS found update 1147, but downloaded only 50-80 kb and stop downloading....

If I start Windows on rig, mining is working. Internet channel is 20 Mbit/s.

How to force OS to be updated?

Have you setup your account on the SMoS website?

I've been mining zec with flypool using dstm through smos for about a month now and seems to be working well. However, I'm never sure I'm using the best and feel I'm in a bit of a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" position. However, wondering if anyone has switched from flypool to supernova, nanopool, mining pool hub, etc. OR have switched from dstm to bminer or ewbf, etc. and felt better about the move after seeing better results...i.e. higher hash rates, better payouts, lower fees, etc. Thanks in advance.

When mining with dstm v0.6.0, i have noticed sometimes there is a ">" symbol on the left side of the screen next to one ore more gpu's. Does anyone know what this means?

on the very first page of the DSTM miner on this here forum, they describe what the symbols are,

> : indicates that a new job was received

read all about it here,

Thanks!

I had 3x GTX 1080's, then I added a GTX 1080 Ti which is in pci slot 4. Why does this come up as GPU 0 in SMoS? Also, if i run the card by itself, i can OC to get around 740 sol/s in dstm, however when i plug in my 3 1080's, it drops to 650 sol/s-ish. if i try to OC any further, SMoS crashes
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bminer: a fast Equihash miner for CUDA GPUs (5.4.0) on: March 08, 2018, 03:18:39 PM
Switched from dstm last night to bminer just to give it a try. I'm using only 3x EVGA 1080's. bminer is reporting a 50-70 sol/s increase over dstm in SMoS, from about 1,680 (dstm) to 1,750 (bminer), however I cannot tell from the flypool graph if there is an actual increase. What IS apparent, there are far more invalid shares being reported with bminer. Link below shows: In the first 12 hours with dstm, only 1 invalid share, and in the second 12 hours with bminer there were 14 invalid shares. The big dip in the middle reflects where i made the switch from dstm to bminer. I do not yet know how this will affect my actual share of zec when i reach the 24 hour comparison, will be interesting.
