1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Exclusive Interview with Eric Wang, CPO at Achain on: April 27, 2018, 11:06:49 AM
I just had an interesting conversation with Eric Wang, CPO at Achain.

We talked about:

- Achain's consensus mechanism, Result-delegated Proof of Stake (RDPoS).
- Block size and generation time of each block in Achain's blockchain.
- Cost and speed of each transaction.
- What are Achain's plans to achieve even more than 1000 transactions per second (TPS) in the future.
- Roadmap. What has been already done, what are they currently focusing on and what are their plans for Q3 and Q4 2018.
- How can developers get involved and where can they find documentation to build DApps and Smart Contracts on the Achain  Blockchain.

Bitcoin is 2 things:

1. A digital currency
2. A decentralized platform

It was invented to be a peer-to-peer payment solution. It's main characteristic is that it allowed people to transfer funds without having to go through a centralized entity (like a bank). That was possible thanks to it's underlying technology, the blockchain.

I made this short video where I explain it in a bit more detail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yaPeSJTUmQs&index=1&list=PLkosbfdomGrPVpQ0ynWnEnOItywY4wFMw&t=2s
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Has anyone else got an overdose of crypto information like I had? on: March 21, 2018, 11:22:00 AM
I love blockchain technology. As many of you, I'm a firm believer in its potential to change the world for the better. To contribute to the community I even started a blog where I do open and free research about different cryptocurrency projects.

But what I have to be honest, the world of cryptocurrencies can be pretty overwhelming too. I want to share here the story on how I got burned out because of it.

* The complete story is here if you want to read it: https://steemit.com/cryptocurrencies/@ryanmorrison/how-i-got-an-overdose-of-cryptocurrency-and-got-sick

In a nutshell, when I started in cryptocurrency investment I got crazy. It was so interesting that for months all I did was consuming every piece of content I could find about it. That made me sick.

Nowadays I only focus on what is important: The fundamentals.

Breaking news, FUDs, YouTubers and their predictions on how a coin will increase massively in price, stupid Telegram threads. It's just noise.

And too much noise can make you sick. So please be selective in what you decide to put your time and brain into. I'll promise you'll get better results.
