1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chia Cryptocurrency on: May 11, 2021, 10:46:33 PM
My "not so crypto experienced" crypto mining partner, is interested in setting up our old GPU rigs for this coin by getting some HDDs and running it.  We currently run Antminer Z11s and have had them on for 2 solid years.

Those old computers are collecting dust, so we'd only have to invest in SSDHDDs.  I'm on the fence, so I came here to see what it's all about.  I'm interested in more viewpoints from those participating in the thread.

We have a bunch of Xeon based MBs and plenty of SATA drives, not a lot of SSDs.  Might be worth building just to see the plot expectations.  He's pushing me.. I'm just the technical expert, he's got the "megabucks" LOL

Thanks Smiley

Nope, I don't believe there is, and that's why this is going to be an ominous situation for eternity.

I tend to think this is some really heavy news.

If you look up the Caldean Numerology and the Tabula Rasa which are mentioned in the article.  Seems to be some type of revolutionary idea type of shit.

Would it be great? Sure.  Is it fake? Maybe.

Something tells me this isn't fake and Bitcoin was designed to FUCK the banking cartel and create a financial revolution.  That's what I've always thought, anyway.

Posted this yesterday.

I don't follow why people are strongly leaning towards this as being absolute bullshit.  I wouldn't be surprised if the person with 980,000 BTC gives most of it away within the next few years.  The person who built bitcoin did it for all of us.  They are a visionary, and will become a legend.

Buckle your seat belts people.  I'm going to bet that this is absolutely REAL as REAL can get.  We shall see by Tuesday, that's for sure.

Shocked I hate to be the bad guy in this thread, but Crypto has about a 15-30% chance of being completely squashed by the federal governments around the globe.  The basic roadmap of all coins needs to be written into federal law.  It needs to become highly regulated, and fast.  If it doesn't, the NY law will not hold, and the US federal government will remove roughly 60% of the market share.  The theory is amazing, and yes it will survive no matter what but we might be long in this game for a very bumpy ride.

We are peeling the herd still today.  Adoption is key.
