Hey, I was trying to start up my ARC masternode , but ran into some issues . I think I might be stuck around the last step of this guide https://www.cryptocrib.net/d/11-setup-arctic-coin-masternode-vps-step-by-step. When I input the command "arcticcoin-cli goldminenode start" I get this error. error message: You must set goldminenode=1 in the configuration I then used the command "nano ~/.arcticcore/arcticoin.conf" , since I saw it mentioned here in the comments, that we need to add everything from step 9 to this file, instead of ".arcticcore/arcticoin.conf" . I got the same error as before. Then I added the rpcuser and rpcpassword into the file like I did the first .conf file, but it gave an error stating "incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword (authorization failed)". Not sure what to do now. I also used this through the Vultr console instead of putty. in case it is relevant to the issue. Anyone experience this before? . UPDATE: I tried various things to fix the issue, But seems I just get myself into a deeper whole, more disappointing as I was in the final step of this guide after all day. One step that I tried was to use the command "rm .arcticcore/arcticoin.conf" so that only " ~/.arcticcore/arcticoin.conf" remaining. This did not work, and I would get a mix of the error messages I mentioned above and some new ones that I was not getting before, such as, incorrect gen key or cannot connect to server. The errors were happening one at a time as I was trying to solve the issue. I generated a new gen key and put it in the file, still no luck. I managed to make it run again with no error message once I removed goldminenode=1 from the config file. But then this leaves me stuck at the last part of this guide again, or even further back do to mistakes, around step 9. I then decided to try and extract my ARC out of the VPS wallet with a command I saw on one of these comment posts, "arcticcoin-cli sendtoaddress "YOUR ADDRESS" 1000.XXX". It then gave me an error that I had an insufficient balance, however when I use the command to check my balance, it says I have 1000 ARC. I wish I had known that the ARC would be in the VPS once I started this process, I only realized once I was on step 8 and by then thought it would remain to go smoothly, boy was I wrong lol. Anything I do brings me back to the four errors (Cannot connect to server, incorrect gen key, incorrect rpcuser or rpcpassword, insufficient balance) , giving only one of the errors, not all at once or multiple.. Any help is definitely appreciated.

- The BCH That I had sent to my BTC wallet in Coinomi did go through and I was able to send it to another wallet when I tested it with a small transaction. Odd as I didn't know was possible to send different crypto to a BTC wallet.
It's not possible... And you didn't. You sent BCH to a BCH address. The confusion stems from the fact that when BCH was forked, it's creators deliberately attempted to become "the" Bitcoin, so they did not change the address prefixes (”1” and "3") like most altcoin do... The end result being that any given "1"-type or "3"-type "Bitcoin" address is also a valid "Bitcoin Cash" address. However, these addresses exist on a completely different blockchain. Think of it like having a USD bank account at BankABC with account#12345 and also having a EUR bank account at BankXYZ with account#12345. Same account# ("address") but different currency at different bank ("network"). - The BTC wallet that I created in Coinomi was supposed to generate on its own, but didn't so had to create my own and then sweep that BTC wallet with my private key again.
Coinomi asks what coin types you want to create wallets for when you first set it up... Unless you explicitly choose BTC, it won't create a BTC wallet with BTC addresses. It does give you the option to add additional coins after you first set it up. - However since I did not remove my BTC from multibit classic before the sweep it showed empty there and I had no choice but to sweep the wallet into Coinomi and the fee was basically equivalent to the amount of BCH I had just earned from this whole process.
Actually, that's not true. The BTC was still on the MultiBit private keys. You still had several options... Like importing or sweeping those keys into pretty much any wallet that offers that functionality. Unfortunately, you choose to sweep with Coinomi and paid a premium fee rate of 200 sats/byte which seems a bit of overkill given the current network state Given you were moving 44,000 bytes worth of tiny inputs, that cost you almost 0.09BTC! It's highly likely you could probably have paid less than 1/4 of that to move your BTC. Thanks for the info HCP . Now that does make more sense to me the way you explain it. Definitely a lot of mistakes were made here and I would have done it differently had I knew. Just happy I got my BTC back, though it cost me the BCH I never knew I had until recently lol. At least now I know a bit more about the process and can do it a bit better next time, was able to get my BTG with no issues after this mistake. But really am grateful for people like Xynerise and you HCP in this community who try and help others such as myself, Ty =) . Hopefully if anyone runs into a similar issue they will see my thread and not make the same mistake. Definitely scary business if you never did it before, or at least it was for me.

Thank you Xynerise for all your help . I figured it all out. Will write info here incase others run into the same issue. The main thing to remember for future use by anyone reading this, transfer your coins out of the wallet with BTC before sweeping. They are not needed there, long as was there before the fork date your good.

- Now I can see all my missing BTC and the tiny remainder of BCH I had not converted and was left over.
Now I just also claimed my Bitcoin gold with Coinomi after I fixed my situation, with no issues.

Paste the address you sent the 0.75 BTC to. And the transaction ID of the second transaction you made from the BCH wallet on Coinomi

Unfortunate, that's the time when you think: damn, should have used Coinbase!
I know that would have been safer but nothing I can do now. I was going to put the BTC in my ledger wallet I just received after I did this. I was trying to claim my BCH from my BTC beforehand, of course now I regret my choice. However regardless, Coinbase does not fork coins for users. But just keeping my fingers crossed, this is one of the biggest regrets and I am just hoping someone can help.

It seems you sent BTC to a BCH address? Can you post the TX ID or wallet address so we can confirm.
If this was indeed the case, do not fret. Just import the seed for that address into either another BTC wallet, or get the private key from Ian Coleman's BIP39 tool (run it offline) and sweep the funds.
I sweeped my wallet using the guide I linked in my first post, and it seems instead of splitting it did a weird conversion that seems to not have gone right. My BTC Multibit Classic wallet recieving address is 13vgvuUmt5cU73Q8EHknHV3FznVx1t9zPG

Hey everyone, I think I may have lost all of my bitcoins trying to follow a guide to claim my BCH from my BTC on Coinomi unfortunately. This is the guide I used https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2062488.0 . I followed all the steps and everything was going correctly until everything completed. Last night I sent 0.75 BTC from my Multibit classic wallet to the Coinomi app following the steps provided in the guide. Once everything was completed it showed the same number in BCH, 0.75, that I had sent in BTC. None of my BTC was in the wallet after that on my PC or the app, only BCH could be found and showing just a value of 1k+, 0.75 BCH there. Coinomi didn't create a new BTC wallet on its own like people were saying it should. I am worried that It just converted my coins into BCH, 0.75 BTC to 0.75 BCH. The thought of losing over 7 thousand dollars for no reason is killing me inside. If anyone here could help me I would be so grateful. It still shows the BTC being in my wallet though when I type the receiving address into blockchain.info. I also notice that when I type the address into a similar site for BCH it shows that I have the BCH on the same BTC address as well. In an effort to try to recover my funds, I then created a BTC wallet on Coinomi and transfered the BCH it gave me into that wallet to see if my missing money would populate into the new wallet or the now almost empty BCH wallet, it didn't work. I have emailed Coinami support awaiting for a reply. I'm so scared right now.

Since there are no Paypal/Credit Card payments...for ease of a refund later if needed...why not pay in BTC I did & had NO problems at all Wire transfers seem to be problematic with having to use a bank & their inferior system And paying with a check Was this discussed with the seller before the transaction Good luck!!! No I had planned to send a wire transfer but the bank sent a check instead, regardless the check was cashed in and my order status is not complete so that is where the issue lies now.

I paid online and it was a check I even sent Bob the picture of the check copy. I keep requesting for him to give me his fax and phone number as does the bank (bank was asking for his fax) but he completely ignores that. I used Bank of America, and I'm looking at my account online right now and I have the copy of the check in my hand, I don't see where the error could be except for in the bank or with him but there's honestly nothing I can do until tomorrow.

Looks like I got to wait until Monday to go to the bank again. The weekend service center agents don't have enough authority to help me but they will be able to with the staff in person on Monday. Bobsag3 I don't know how else to put it but I've already asked four or five times on separate occasions for your fax and phone number so when I go to the bank we can get this resolved I've been trying to order since December 4th my money is still missing. I understand maybe the bank Is to blame in the missing money but I'm a customer and I really need your help. I don't see what the problem is when you said yourself you requested for Black arrow to put your new number on their site but they just haven't yet.
Your bank sent a check instead of a wire, now bobsag3 needs to contact his bank in order to find out which check, if they got it, a copy of it if they did. A lot of things could have gone wrong with sending a check, your dealing with the post office now which adds another few days depending on when the check actually went out, also your dealing with the personal in his bank after they get the mail/check. The difference between the check and wire transfer is besides him being able to see it the next day is he can actually see it. Now I've worked in a bank, here comes the biggest problem depending on BoA does this also, in order to get a check image after its deposited they may need to do something called a vector request (problem here is this takes 1+ weeks to get done), the other thing is sometimes banks send checks from the customers account (meaning its possible the check can bounce) so the funds on it need to be verified as well. So because your bank failed to send a wire transfer (check is actually not an option on minersource) this is now going to take a ton more work then it should have to resolve. BTW BoA is closed on the weekends so bobsag3 can't do anything until Monday to begin with (and he's dealing with a move). My suggestion is to contact your bank and request all the details of the check, account number, date sent, date deposited (if it wasn't deposited then he can't do anything anyway), check number, exact amount etc. as bobsag3 will need this in order to find your transaction. Yeah when I called today they said they would have to do a three-way call with his bank but it's closed today so I have to wait until tomorrow. They said for the check I sent it goes directly to his account not by the mail and The check has already been processed and the money removed which they said means the check was already cashed in. Everything matches I ready triple check the account number, the address, name and everything else I can, that's why am so confused. All I can think of is it's a bank error or he is mistaken other than that all I can really do is wait until tomorrow to call them.

Hey bobsag3,
I think I found out what the problem was. I just got back from the bank They said that you received it but it wasn't a wire transfer they sent, they sent my payment as a check. Check It out as soon as you can please.

Hey bobsag3,
I sent you a PM but I am not sure if you will see it in time, so I'll write it here . It's been about 12 days now since I sent the wire transfer and my order status has not changed. Did you receive anything yet or have any new info for me ? I'm heading to the bank tomorrow and I'm considering asking them to reverse the wire transfer and do an investigation because it seems like my money was sent to nowhere. I just wanted to check with you first before I did so.

Ordered through minersource.net. Sent my wire on Dec 15, still waiting for an update and response too

Anyone have the new telephone number for https://minersource.net ? The one on black arrows website is old and not in use. I know bobsag3 said in a previous post that he requested for them to put the new info, but its not there still. Constantly going back and fourth with emails and PM's is a long and frustrating process, especially when some of them are never answered. If anyone can help regarding this it would be appreciated.

I think i am in the same boat as you torbtc. I sent a wire transfer 7 days ago and it said it would arrive to him on Dec 19. On Dec 20 it shows they received the money. Ive been messaging bobsag3 for over 3 days already and still have not received any response and it still says under payment state that the balance is due in my order/account on https://minersource.net/account. I already had a big error when i first tried to order. At this point i am getting a bit frustrated at the pace and/or lack of support. Please PM me your order number, as I have said before we have several wires that do not have order numbers, and that significantly slows the process down. [/quote] I did include the number with my wire transfer. But just incase you did not receive the number i just sent a PM here with my order number. How long should i expect to wait until my payment status is changed on your site ?
