1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait for bitcoin to grow? on: April 06, 2018, 02:26:02 PM
No do not sell, that is the mistake people are all panic selling cause they are seeing the prices dropping from it's high. Look back on the charts and look at the price it was at this day last year and look at the difference now. This is a slow time of year for btc and all crypto, especially because of some of these bans and some new rules and regulations that they are trying to make which will still overcome. If anything, buy some more if you have the funds and sell it around Nov/Dec time before it takes the drop again. It's a trend for crypto/tokens to rise and drop toward the end of the end and then buy it back around this time of these when it gets low. It's a common pattern. I would ride it out if I was you and see what kind of difference it makes. People who have been in crypto for a while are happy at this time of year because it gives them a chance to pick up more. I am about 4k down in USD but I know the near future will be promising.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you surprise by bitcoin price now? on: April 06, 2018, 02:15:39 PM
I think it is great that it's back down to the mid 6k's and could go a little lower, it gives people an opportunity to pick up some more while it's still low. I believe it'll go to new highs and wish I can pick up some more.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin change our world? on: April 06, 2018, 04:14:43 AM
The use of bitcoin started as an anonymous way to pay for goods via internet where you cannot be traced and there is no information tied to the seller and receiver. This technology was mostly used for stuff on the dark web and some business transactions. But over the years people started using it for business purposes and for payments as well. They saw a way around the centralized transaction where every step is tracked. The use of bitcoin as well as any other cryptocurrency also makes the whole payment process much easier with little to no chance of you personal information being stolen, because your personal information isn't being used when sending bitcoin. This has been a major break through technology, especially when it comes to the topic of decentralization and fast worldwide transactions with smaller fees. Our future is shifting into everything being digital and tech based, so I wouldn't be surprised if digital currency makes paper money obsolete.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What affects the price of btc most? on: April 03, 2018, 02:35:27 PM
I think right now the whole credit credit card issue of purchasing bitcoin has been hurting it a lot, seems like it made a little rise today though. I actually wanted to buy more as it hit below 7k again, it's a good thing for investors and believers.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 2 altcoins to invest in NOW. on: March 04, 2018, 09:35:41 PM
Ripple while it is at a low right now and Ripple is always a winning coin and always has been. DeepOnion cause it is a working coin with a low supply and seems to be the best in it's category of privacy coins.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Much Should You Invest in Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2018, 09:09:56 PM
You should always invest in what you are willing to lose. The minute you invest in any crypto make believe that money doesn't exist (if you are a long term holder). If you are planning on day trading, then invest what you are willing to lose as well. Prices fluctuate and nothing is definite, although it may be a good long term investment, you never know when you may need that money and at that point it could be at a low. So invest wisely.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should people use Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2018, 11:52:35 PM
Bitcoin is the future of money, or so they say.

I would like to hear your opinions on Why should people use Bitcoin?

Bitcoin has been around for much longer than most people who know about bitcoin know of. When I first discovered what bitcoin was, it was because I was learning about Tor and Dark Web and saw that bitcoin was pretty much the only option of a payment because it was untraceable. As bitcoin popularity began to rise over the past 1-2 years now, it became a payment platform and an investment option. Overall, I feel that if you are into decentralization in the banks and government, you should consider what you can do when it comes to bitcoin and other alt coins. Other than that, payments are quicker, easier and direct. The more research people do on what bitcoin is, the more they can see how much it is actually already being used worldwide.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: March 02, 2018, 05:37:30 AM
I have a question.

What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?

I would like to hear some advice.  What are pros & cons of each option?

Thanks

It depends whether you want to hold it long or short term. If you are going to day trade it and don't plan on keeping it for a long time then leave it on the exchange so you don't waste your money in fees transferring back and forth. If you are in it for the long run then put it into a wallet, it'll be safer there.
