It's better ? You can read the "C" in the "2". Just an idea I don't stole your work That's actually really cool.

Man...I will say you this, this is not even a logo..wtf is this? You have took some font with stylish number 2,found some photoshop styles on internet...and that's it. And don't say...if you know better do it..because I know how this stuff works as I have already won on several logo coin contests. No offense, just my opinion.
Except for the base font of the "2," my logo was created entirely from scratch. I'm sorry that you've done that. I'm actually going to be using this as a portfolio piece whether I win or not @ http://morganhendricks.com firstly, if you are making a 'logo' you need to at least do it in illustrator or some other vector based program, not in photoshop. 99.99% of people who want a logo will want to use it on multiple mediums, which means it will need to be scaled huge.. and small.. so by doing it as a raster image you are failing at the very start. I chose to use Photoshop because I believed it would get me the best possible product quickly with tools which I feel are more effective for a logo like this. Later if a vector is necessary, I'll simply recreate it in Illustrator. It's only lines, text, and gradients. But I'm wondering why you're criticizing my methods when you already said I was using Photoshop in the first place. I proved to you that it was not a "Photoshop style" and you're still attacking me. I entered a friendly contest to support a coin which I want to go somewhere. I really don't want this argument, please.

qpstrafe, is there any way you can incorporate the word "coin" above/within the "2"?
I love the design, although the danger is that the font could be misconstrued as a "Z", not a "2", and certainly not "coin2" without the full name.
The name is vital to include in the logo, or it's not going to be recognised even as a coin. Why risk the probable confusion?
Thx 4 any response.
I can try something like that if that's what the developers are looking for, but I'll save that until after they've chosen the winner (if they choose me). But it will involve completely reworking the design, because simply placing the word "Coin" at the top will not be very appealing aesthetically. My concept was for the coin to be JUST a 2, but if the devs want it to say Coin 2, I can work on that change when the time comes. Edit: Also, rarely does a coin have the word "coin" on the logo. Only Megacoin and Kittehcoin that I know of.

Here are some with more vibrant colors. I can do pretty much any color, but I like the first three clean ones I did the best and maybe the top line of these vibrant ones.

here is an other idea.. i think that the new Logo should definetely work in a big format, as well as in a super small size (for example in exchanges). I tried to come up with a big geometrical shape, that can easily be recognized. looking forward to your feedback This is REALLY solid work. The gold and the gray ones are perfect (I think gold is the best). The blue one looks like it has some sort of gradient in the negative space on the left that the others don't have. (Maybe you forgot to put it over the symbol?) Not sure, but your design looks amazing, even small. People might think it's Z coin at first, but at least they will be looking at it.

Clean version. That was a really good idea to do this. I think I like these even better! I'll send you 10% of the reward if they pick this one.

I don't know what kind of scaling you're going to do that will make it larger than 3175x3175 pixels, but I will create a solid version as well and post it here!

Here's my attempt.
