1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: June 06, 2018, 10:59:53 AM
This is amazing. But the expertise required seems to hard to do as an amateur.
Will try to dig around more, maybe order one to try it out!

This coin is such a scam... no thanks.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese Investor bought 10,000 bitcoin during the dip! on: June 01, 2018, 07:16:13 AM
AS long as he doesn't dump them this is good.!
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading by follow signals. Is it good? on: May 29, 2018, 08:20:27 PM
Theres a few very good private groups, but they are expensive. I have worked with two. One costs 0.50 BTC a month, the other 0.25BTC so yeah if you have the time and dedication, the knowledge you can get good value out of it.

If anyone needs Spanish translation, I will do it for free. Need some jobs under my belt so I can get more jobs done.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: List Of GPU Mineable Only Coins - GPU Mining Will NEVER Die! on: May 27, 2018, 07:35:06 AM

Mate, I do not like Bitmain at all. Im a GPU miner with a far + 250 GPUs.
That being said.

I am a professional IT Consultant with a wealth of experience in Hardware, Software, etc.

ASIC is a word that it is used WRONG in crypto mining the same way America is a continent and not a country.

Do you have a Firewall ? It has an Asic chip!
How about a Layer 3 switch? Guess what? Uses Asic.

ASIC stands for Application specific integrated chip. It doesnt f. mean ONLY FOR CRYPTO MINING. ok?

and they have been around since approx. 1980.

How are they flexible?

Because mining can be considered an application specific meaning as we discover the true power of Asic CPUs and as we move through them ( same way as FCGA is growing) we will find ways of using them in a more mainstream way, cheaper, and more effectively.

THIS change will be what will take Bitmains power away, not focusing on GPU vs ASIC. that is a stupid fight which is already lost.

So dont be a Fan boy, educate yourself, and the more we understand Asic the better we will fight Bitmain and any centralize corrupt company.

You don't know but I am doing engineering in electronics now in second year. So yes I know a thing or two about ASICs. Yes the term is used loosely here but that's how it is. You can't go explain it to everyone else and expect them to use another word, you should get the point. Now again you are only looking at one side and not the other. You statement is biased. You expect the ASICs to grow and evolve but think that algos and gpu will be still stuck in time. It doesn't matter weather you hate or like Bitmain this is just plain simple fact. You assumed that I hate Bitmain but actually I don't. It is just a phase. This is how techonolgy evolves. Again you should read my missile and tank example. You are thinking that the missile will keep getting powerful while the tank will be stuck in 1940s. More powerful ASICs= more powerful Anti-asic algos.

I agree with you that anti-asic algos will get better and I get your analogy. I just think that we will move into a phase where we will not have a gpu vs asic anymore. because Asic will be more generic.
Anyways, good argument and cool in the engineering thing, maybe you can help with this change! Smiley

cheers!!

Hopefully that will be the case....

ETH all the way.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: List Of GPU Mineable Only Coins - GPU Mining Will NEVER Die! on: May 22, 2018, 08:34:46 AM
I completely agree with you, but I believe the nature of ASIC cpus ( Which are in any dedicated device such as a Firewall) will eventually take over all hardware.

Have you read this?

Some hard as truth here, I don't like what it means, but there is a lot of truth.

This is where you are all wrong. Here, let me explain :
ASIC advancement is necessary for ASIC resistant algos as that is what provides the motivation for developing more powerful ASIC resistant Algos. You guys think that we need one single ASIC resistant algo that will remain resistant to ASICs forever but that's not how tech works. Did they ever created an Antivirus that will stop the viruses in the world that will be made in the future ? No, that's why they keep bringing new version and models every year. When big missiles came tank's armour also started to get thicker. This hasn't stopped to this day. More powerful missile comes with more powerful tank armour. But they never come at the same time. Either powerful missile comes first or the more powerful tank armour. Similarly now we have many powerful ASICs which will be followed by more powerful ASIC resisitant algos.

The nature of Asic chips is to be flexible, dedicated and powerful. I think ASIC will kill GPU mining in any big cap coin. But I also think ASIC will be more available and amateur or home mining will be ASIC instead off GPU the same way now its GPU instead of CPU. Times move and I doubt ASIC will go anywhere.
maybe instead of Devs wasting time in fighting ASIC they could use their time to produce ASIC faster and make it mainstream. The end goal would be even better, decentralization on ASIC chips.

How are ASICs flexible when they are only made to mine a single algo ? You sound like Bitmain's 50 cent army.

How ASICs are decentralised when only a single company produces it and mine with it for a year before releasing them to public ? Why will a for-profit company sell a money making machine ? They only sell them when there is more profit in selling them then mining with them.

Neither are ASICs widely available compared to GPUs. Many Asian countries have banned ASICs unofficially. But they can't ban GPUs. Most of the coins will switch to ASIC resistant algos in futures and it will be the trend.

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BITMAIN was mining ETH in their farms ! BITMAIN Is killing GPU miners on: May 18, 2018, 12:54:06 AM
Just think about it for a second :

Bitmain basically sells money making machines. Why would they sell this machines if it wouldn't be that they believe they will make more money selling them than keeping them and "printing" money themselves?

Also Bitmain, is extremely rich and the play a "mafia" game.

If crypto mining is where the money is, a big guy like Bitmain will always get in the middle and make things their own. Feel privilege you can at least take some crumbs.

It's same as Bitcoin and Banks. Do you think Governments and banks will let this "Decentralization Revolution" Happen without a big nasty fight?

I hate what they stand for but I doubt there is enough power in the Crypto space to bring them down...

Both are the leaders in this space.  I would diversify and have both. One is your strongest store of value the other though a store of value and platform, can go a long way.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ETHF DEAD - Ethereum Future Coin a Scam ? Dev. "Zeus" MIA on: May 14, 2018, 10:03:04 AM
So I was quite excited the first time I read about ETHF, and I have to admit I thought it was a promising project. Even more excited when I read NotsoFast said he would hash into it.
I mined early on and got a masternode up and running, everything was happy days for me until they split the chain. After a few days down back to normal but then....

They split the coin again and for the first time in Blockchain history, even though the pool BSOD had the longest chain, the dev ( who goes by the name of Zeus) said that the chain they will back is the one in the official pool ( with the least POW) WTF?!  Huh

Anyway, we all moved into that chain and guess what?! Yeah! you got it , HEYHEEYHEYY! They split the chain again!  Shocked

Since the 21st of April no comms and the Discord channel ( https://discord.gg/S8fArJ ) seems abandoned and the coin is finally dead.

I am not a 100% sure the Devs wanted to Scam us. I think it was more like shitty Devs who don't know how to fix it , couldn't handle the pressure, had a shitty team with no business knowledge and became to much for them so they gap it.

It's sad aside from loosing money and worst than money, time, it was a good learning on not to jump on this small cap coins that look to good to be true.

I guess for Devs and new coins is a good learning about the importance of Communication. If they had admitted they fucked up, and kept the community informed the result could have been much better.

Anyways, if anyone still waiting on ETHF, or BOUGHT ETHF or wants to buy ETHF, please stay away! most def. the money is gone and Zeus is MIA.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: May 10, 2018, 09:22:36 PM
It depends if you want to trade or not.

Also best thing is to hold them in different wallets and/or different exchanges so you do not get locked out or if hacked/lost, you minimize the risk.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: May 10, 2018, 10:49:05 AM
Im trying to sign up to every Bounty campaign I can, but no one is giving me a chance to translate for them because I don't have any XP.

Not sure what to do.

Yeah I got 1.5K as well. Was excited at first but looks like it's just a waste of space in my wallet.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: When are New GPUs Being release? Any info on approx. date? on: May 10, 2018, 04:50:13 AM
Awesome! that sounds pretty exciting. Thanks mate.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / When are New GPUs Being release? Any info on approx. date? on: May 09, 2018, 11:42:32 AM
I have been reading about a possible 11 Series coming out for Nvidia and some new AMD cards too but I am not too sure how reliable this is.

Anyone has more information on the matter?

 I have a lot of 1060s, 70s and 80sTI

Wondering if I should start selling the 60s and 70s to prepare for the switch .

Thanks guys!
