yes yes op is sick to death of other peoples scams so he is creating his own  Roll Eyes

So all alt-coins are scams now?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin development - Call to arms. on: June 10, 2014, 05:57:36 AM

<snip>

Nope. If you're not setting up a scam, you're going to have to run the gauntlet of skepticism from worse than just me, so my advice is to sack up.

<snip>

Oh, and by the way, IPO schemes are synonymous with scams, so I sure hope that you're not going to propose that.

Honestly, it looks to me like you're just a pessimist who has been burnt from another alt-coin in the past. This guy hasnt even said any details about this currency and you've already equipped the flame thrower.

No need to try and bring everyone else down because you have a problem.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CPU Mining - MemoryCoin - Found Profitable Strategy! on: March 05, 2014, 03:25:05 PM
1. MemoryCoin is a scam

2. FreeTrade (MMC developer) is dodgy

3. Your math is based on variables

4. Power Consumption will be more like 80-84 watts using an i7-4770K (and you haven't included *any* power prices in your estimations)

5. If you think a $335 CPU is going to be worth $200 in 12 months, you're probably not very familiar with a thing called "depreciation"

6. "Total Investment" doesn't include Motherboard, RAM, PSU or HDD - your "Total Investment" is based on ALREADY owning 12 systems capable of handling an i7-4770K

Next time you want to promote a shitty coin - make sure you use a "Self Moderated" thread like the other devs do - so you can delete anything you don't agree with - like the MemoryCoin devs do.

4  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-2-10 Business Insider : Aussie Technologists To Open Bitcoin Bank This Year on: February 13, 2014, 04:00:17 AM
As an Australian, with friends who work for banks and major accounting firms - I *honestly* can't see this being approved by our government. The big banks here flag all BTC transactions as possible fraud, and ASIC (the government body that regulates companies) hasn't got many good things to say about BTC.

The problems I can see with using BTC for Credit Cards and Loans, is the differences and movement between BTC and AUD, as well as interest and taxes. Here's some scenario's which might need to be worked out.

----------------

Our GST is at 10% - so currently, selling 1 x BTC (~$750 AUD today) - would require the company/customer to pay $75 GST - which means the total cost for the customer would be $750 + $75 = $825. Who would buy a BTC worth $750 for $825?

----------------

Exchange rate vs income tax. Any money a person makes from BTC will need to be taxed, how are they going to tax it? Are they going to calculate your net worth from your holdings of BTC like they do with shares? If you buy 10 coins at $1000 AUD - and they jump to $20,000 AUD each around tax time - do we need to pay capital gains tax on $200,000 AUD - even though the bitcoins haven't been sold for AUD?

----------------

Interest Rates - If someone gets a BTC credit card or loan - how do they pay the interest on that or deal with huge price increases? Same figures again, imagine we get a loan for 2 x BTC ($2000), and the price jumps from $1k to $20k - without direct access to BTC, does it mean their debt will have gone from $2k to $40k ? How does a customer obtain the ~0.01 BTC required for interest? do they need to buy BTC and pay the bank with that - or do they need to pay in AUD for the hugely inflated interest price?

----------------

I'm no financial expert - but I can see things like this being a problem when trying to get ASIC and APRA approval

This is a denial-of-service attack; whoever is doing this is not stealing coins, but is succeeding in preventing some transactions from confirming. It’s important to note that DoS attacks do not affect people’s bitcoin wallets or funds.

If no one is gaining anything, then why are they doing this?

Not everything is for direct profit.  Why no hackers DDOS charities?  Why do players grief other players in online games?  Maybe the intent is just to cause as much chaos, bad press, and confusion in the Bitcoin space, or maybe it is just some ass who is bored and likely screwing around with people.

.....or maybe its the government and banks

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SRC] SecureCoin | A Fast and Secure Version of Bitcoin | LAUNCHED on: January 27, 2014, 03:04:07 AM
I did not realize that I was talking to a SecureCoin developer, no wonder you're so single minded. Quark has overall a bigger community backing than SecureCoin. The network security issue is protected by checkpoints to reduce the chance of a 51% attack. Quark benefits extremely outweighs SecureCoin at this point. Even you as a developer isn't mainly just focused on SecureCoin. You went to another coin DigitalCoin. This will speaks about your confidence in your SecureCoin. I'm here to discuss about the real benefits, but you have shown me that you really do not have any main points.

You seem to be more interested in investment, as opposed to mining.

Quote
You went to another coin DigitalCoin.

Looking at the launch dates, DigitalCoin (GPU) was May 2013, and SecureCoin (CPU) was August 2013.....

Maybe Quark suits you because you're happy to just sit on a currency - whereas other people want to obtain currency themselves. When you look at the figures and the charts, SecureCoin is a much better coin to mine and own. Quark have now reached the 247m cap and is 40% into the 1m per year (in what, 1 month?)... for me, someone who likes to mine my currency, Quark is one of the *worst* options... SecureCoin has been a slow but steady earner for me, and apart from the latest market drop it's been quite consistently priced and available to buy/sell. I also get ~2-3 a day from mining....

I also picked SecureCoin because of the developer community, while it may be quiet on the SRC side of things, at least we get answers from developers and information is available, when you compare it to other CPU coin's, this wins hands down...

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PSA] MemoryCoin 2.0 compromised by Dev's pre-mine holdings! on: January 13, 2014, 08:00:26 AM
Here is FreeTrade's hilarious* answers to questions surrounding him, Memorycoin 1 & 2.0 and the pre-mine.    https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2288.0

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PSA] MemoryCoin 2.0 compromised by Dev's pre-mine holdings! on: January 12, 2014, 05:57:30 AM

Is he likely to quit MMC like he did with PTS?

He never quit PTS. He was hired by PTS owners to do some coding.
His work was done he has moved on.
You would better do your research+thinking before accusing someone.

Oh sorry I should re-word it

Is he likely to stop supporting MemoryCoin like he did with PTS, then steal the code to make yet another alt-coin - unless the community bows down to his demands?

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [PSA] MemoryCoin 2.0 compromised by Dev's pre-mine holdings! on: January 12, 2014, 03:53:45 AM
Just to add to the scam

http://memorycoin.info/ is for sale- looks like the dev team (belltown in particular) is looking to capitalize on *anything* they can get their hands on.

Quote
I'd like to sell www.MemoryCoin.info to somebody who cares about the coin and who will continue the work that I've started. It could be the perfect fit for somebody who runs as CMO, but it's not a requirement for you to run for CMO. You just need to act for the benefit of the coin.

Price: 1,000 MMC

https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2123.0

SO - The devs want YOU to pay for the domain, and, you must say good things about MMC on there.....

When will this coin die!

belltown is not a dev, he was elected cmo for a while. he lost that position because he wasn't working hard enough, and a new cmo has already been elected since then.
i agree that it's not a fine move to sell that domain now, but that's nothing anyone on the team including freetrade could do anything about.

regarding the premine issue:
dec 26th someone compromised several positions by voting for himself with a huge balance:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=1635.0
if it wasn't for freetrade using his coins to vote for real candidates, these grants would have been lost to that person.

a few clicks on the block- and voting explorers show, that the same funds used to try to compromise the positions were used to support newmine's campaign, and by the amount and how things here evolved it's easy to see this has been megafarmer.
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2236.0

my speculation about the connection between newmine and megafarmer was stupid, you can easily read up that megafarmer joined newmine's campaign here.

nevertheless it remains undisputed that the coins ft granted himself for the start were used to prevent a big holder from manipulating the elections and stealing the rewards in a critical phase.

I couldn't really care about Newmine, I care about FreeTrade's attitude because he marketed the coin on here - and mislead the public with false information, and he's censored my comments in other places just because he refuses to answer questions.

Your response makes basically NO sense at all - you are trying to act like a corporation however you refuse to follow the rules of a corporation, one of the major rules with a corporation is disclosure of information - ie: to tell share holders about the CEO's financial holdings in the company. MemoryCoin has refused to do that and blatantly mislead consumers with things like "CPU Only Coin" and not releasing the source code, and FreeTrade is part of the deception.

How many coins does FreeTrade hold?

and

Is he likely to quit MMC like he did with PTS?

I swear that coin logo jew dude wringing his hands artwork came from some nazi propaganda from the 30's.

Coins like this don't help crypto, it keeps us in the dark shadows. there is no innovation here, just subtle racismRoll Eyes

I agree. Except that the racism isn't subtle.

This is the kind of actions that will make acceptance of crypto currency even more difficult.

Moderators should, by default, eliminate all kinds of abusing posts (copyright infringements and racism for example).

LOL. How is anyone angry at this clearly fake tweet? We've all been annoyed at transaction speed being too slow at cryptsy at times - it doesn't mean that we don't appreciate what it has done for the alt-coin (and bitcoin) trading volumes.

I want Bitcoins and Altcoins to be here in the future, I believe there is a whole new financial market opening here for people to embrace.

With crap like this coming out - it makes the community look bad, which means investors and professionals wont take it seriously at all, it also takes away from the integrity of  announcements made by other developers.

So you think that investors and professionals will look past BBQ, DOGE and CAT trading volumes on cryptsy but get hung up on a fake tweet on a forum?  Grin I agree. Take it down, BitcoinXpress. Wouldn't want Goldman Sachs to think that the cryptocurrency community isn't to be taken seriously.

Cryptocurrency already gets enough shit from banks, governments and federal authorities, the last thing we need is the community ruining it's own image
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) POOL , CPU MINER Windows x32&x64 on: January 11, 2014, 05:31:54 AM
MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) is a scam, we all know it now

FreeTrade (ex CEO/CTO) has a HUGE amount of coins, and he deceived the community by advertising as CPU only coin, which turned to a GPU coin with an explanation from the developer of why GPU is good for MemoryCoin.

The coin was developed with SHA-512 and AES (both capable of GPU decryption), and the source code wasn't released until well after the original coin launch.

Furthermore, FreeTrade would either delete posts from users or just ignore questions he was asked.

There is no confidence in MMC anymore.

What's that?

Cryptsy refused to put your favourite coin up on the exchange?
and
You have been getting chummy with r3wt from openex ?

I personally, think you should be banned from the forum for spreading false information in an effort to promote your own product.

I have nothing to do with any development of Battlecoin.

I find it amusing on the same level as Doge.
