1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] now accepted for bail at Federal Court on: August 22, 2018, 09:06:00 AM
It has already been clarified by the judge as the defendant is unable to pay in cash, fine can be paid in any asset, and considering defendant was a hacker, he may have requested for crypto payment. I don't believe any impact will happen by this news, this is just one limited judgment.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM Introduced in Kenya for the First Time on: August 18, 2018, 04:25:28 AM
While the new bitcoin ATM or kiosk is a welcome addition and a huge step in crypto adoption in Kenya, it might not be so welcome among traders and regular buyers because of the high costs of purchase. It will be interesting to see the adoption of such bitcoin kiosks and how they will impact the crypto space in Kenya.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I CHOSE BITCOIN INVESTMENT OVER BANK INVESTMENT on: August 16, 2018, 07:40:43 AM
I think its the best choice, bitcoin investment is considered to be the very much profitable and beneficial investment and the best thing about this is that it provides you profit in a very short span of time, so no doubt I will prefer bitcoin investment over bank investment.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DOMINANCE, HOW FAR WILL IT BE? on: August 16, 2018, 12:24:43 AM
Admittedly, the Bitcoin dominance index is not very reliable. It is a purely quantitative metric and one that doesn’t accurately depict a market that is obsessed with novelty.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: John Mcafee & Bitfi launch the first 'unhackable' hardware wallet on: August 14, 2018, 11:45:09 PM
McAfee partnered with hardware wallet company Bitfi last month to launch the first "truly unhackable and open-source crypto-wallet," according to CoinTrust. Hardware wallets are cryptocurrency wallets that store your private keys in a secure hardware device.McAfee and Bitfi are very confident about their crypto-wallet's security.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction cost is too high on: August 11, 2018, 06:37:28 AM
I think the reason is the blockchain fees depend on several factors includingetwork congestion, transaction confirmation times (affected by liquidity providers), and transaction size (as measured in kilobytes; affected when converting bitcoin from multiple inputs such as faucet earnings or other micro-transactions).
In other words, you may need to pay higher blockchain fees if the Bitcoin network is busy or loaded at the moment. Usually, the fee increases during sudden bitcoin rate fluctuations and major world events.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks Plans to Support Bitcoin Payments Later This Year on: August 10, 2018, 10:11:47 AM
The fact that Starbucks will accept Bitcoin as a means of payment is a significant development. The Seattle-based coffee chain had more than 27,000 stores worldwide in 2017, meaning that this will create a huge foundation to propel cryptocurrency adoption and usage even further.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thailand Legalize Crypto currency on: August 10, 2018, 07:53:28 AM
Thailand is taking a big step forward in its efforts to legalize and regulate cryptocurrency. The Thai Security and Exchange Commission, which regulates the financial markets in the country has finally announced its regulatory framework for Initial Coin Offerings. This means that cryptocurrency investors in Thailand will have some clarity over what is allowed and how they can trade with some serenity.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My small advice about crypto market on: August 09, 2018, 08:55:21 PM
Learn to value coins in BTC. Ether aside, Bitcoin is the current primary currency of the crypto economy. Those new to crypto tend to value things in dollars. Meanwhile, even seasoned cash traders value coins in dollars. However, enough crypto traders will value coins in BTC for it to matter. If you aren’t aware of the BTC charts, you won’t be able to properly understand the trends everyone else is analyzing and reacting to. You don’t have to make getting more BTC your goal, but you must have the BTC prices of altcoins on your radar. There are times when all coins move up, but altcoins steadily lose value against Bitcoin. Those who know will be the first to dump altcoins for Bitcoin; this will set off a vicious cycle that can result in the stagnation of altcoin prices.
11  Other / Archival / Re: EDUCATING PEOPLE ABOUT CRYPTOCURRENCY on: August 09, 2018, 08:46:10 PM
Educating people about cryptocurrency is a good idea. You just need to take a look at the Begginers&help section in here: most of the newbies are not asking about learning or understanding the crypto technology, but about how to earn some money here . So, to be honest, I see few people really interested in the technology itself, but on the possibility of making some money.
Now, the technology is not only about earning but about creating a whole new tech system of money, in which people get to be free of banks and the current economic system. This is huge in the sense of human evolution, but, sadly, humans seem to have no interest in it.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it true that bitcoin is a disaster for local banks on: August 09, 2018, 02:21:40 PM
I think is not disaster for local banks, there is nothing stopping banks from adopting bitcoin and offer the same fiat services they offer now for bitcoin and increase their revenue, banks are just service providers for currencies. and bitcoin is just a new currency.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BMW now accepts Bitcoin as a payment! on: August 08, 2018, 01:07:53 AM
Good news to all bitcoiners.Bitcoin investors usually spend their cryptocurrency holdings on goods and services, commonly they spend it on expensive items of luxury which are in high demand so getting consumers to spend their Bitcoin can be a challenge. If you offer them the right goods and services, they will more than likely start spending. This is why it makes sense for companies like BMW to introduce Bitcoin as a valid way to buy a car.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency? on: August 07, 2018, 09:47:24 PM
I think it takes a lot of time until the world ready for cryptocurrency, besides that the world knowledge about crypto is also not evenly distributed, this needs to be solved by large-scale socialization.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks accepting Bitcoin soon? Nope! on: August 07, 2018, 09:38:52 PM
So, while it's true that anyone could, through this process, spend their bitcoins in Starbucks, technically they would not be accepting bitcoin as a means of payment. For me, if this is confirmed, it would be a more annoying and uncomfortable. On the other hand, at the end of the day, using it with a payment processor is still a choice. It doesn't diminish Bitcoin's functionality as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't worry, Bitcoin will be fine. on: August 06, 2018, 12:06:52 PM
Yes,bitcoin will be fine,it will rise up again very soon. It is much better that we support the bitcoins. So be patient, stay calm.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD on: August 06, 2018, 11:59:12 AM
Bitcoin is dead? I don't think so.The better we gonna do right now is to buy bitcoin and hold it for few months until the price recover. Pump bitcoin get more  profit. We support bitcoin so it will survive.
