heh, i was just about to post that the grand bazaar name was chosen by arteleis , but i was being blocked form posting and he came here to admit to it himself .. so thank you arteleis, for telling the other monkey that it was you who came up with such a horrendous idea.

nzminer i just realized discussion with you is pointless, you are probably 12 and dont understand "crypto" at all.
IDK, keep the ideas coming, its early days, perhaps separate blockchains could be used for each commodity, thats something that hasnt been done with any coin before.
You may ask why use seperate blockchains, well perhaps some people just want to use the main silk platform and not engage in trading, the separate blockchains could store the extra data required in the online trading, social networking side of things, IDK. The devs will have a better idea on this.

the reason it "hasn't been done before" is because it makes no sense whatsoever,

...we can not have a different blockchain for each commodity, that meant everytime you wanted a new item in a new "commodity" section you would create a whole new coin, new blockchain = new coin. so it's not even silkcoin anymore...
altho there is already a potcoin and cryptometh, so maybe you are on to something

the implied myth behind silkcoin was there would be a silkroad type marketplace with anon features that would accept silkcoin...
of course this could probably never be built into the block chain as they described... it was a nice dream, and someone could still pull off a decentralized market of some kind that indeed does use silkcoin as the currency .., anything is possible.
but if i was you, and i am sure as hell glad i am not, i would look into CLOAKcoin's proposed p2p decentralized marketplace that will accept CLOAKcoin .. called CLOAKmarket.....

arteleis, the original silk road was a magical place where dreams came true, of course the implied reference with silkcoin was to this original marketplace, complete with a camel as it's symbol.
... not that it matters as it turned out to be a scam.
i hope the dream still comes alive.. or at least silkcon gets some value again.
