Once I hold a coin for months(XRP). It was declining day by day. At that time I needed to sell some coin to invest in one ICO. So I have decided to sell 75% of this coin(XRP). In about a week XRP went up like crazy :/

ICO are like startups. Its well known that only 1 of 10 startups actually survives. So you should treat ICO as high risk investments. Make sure you do your due diligence about the company and never put all your money in single basket. You should also follow some crypto youtube influencers that review ICOs to start. There are also websites that rate ICOs. Make sure you gater as much data as you can before you invest.

Once you made profit, you can withdraw your initial investment and just leave the profits in. This is what I do.

Because there is a lack of competition. I think this will change when we will have more decentralized exchanges.
