I will not discuss BTC and ETH here because we all know that both are good to be hold for a long time, I see there are several altcoins that have the potential to be held, including:
1. ADA
2. TEN
3. ACDC
4. DOGE

I've been using their free crypto calls for a few months, and I made a small profits 1-3% almost every other day. Also the community is very helpful and I learned a lot new information and ways to cope with emotional trading. I will suggest you first start with small trades until you become more knowledgeable and calm. your experience really helps other traders to make a profit but I personally still fear to do dayly trading in many altcoins, I only do some short-term trading in some altcoins that have fast value movements |

for someone like me it is very difficult to do, but not for big investors who have a lot of business networks, they can work together to drop the value of btc by making low transactions, so slowly the value of btc will surely fall, then they will buy more many of all people to create profits

You are right, now there are many new exchanges that present different features, some even free trading fees, but I think that doesn't matter because the trader only use the right exchange.

for now I suggest that you focus on holding ethereum only, I think that is enough to make a big profit for several years, but if you want to invest in other altcoin then try to invest in DOGE or ADA

I think both have good potential but I prefer Ethereum because most ICOs only accept ETH / BTC and that will make ethereum values grow faster than LTC

in my opinion altcoinn is the best to buy and hold in 2018 is
1. ADA / Cardano
