Since MINTPAL has determined that there was irregularities in the voting for GRUMP, the best course of action instead would be to suspend voting for a 24h period with a warning at the -most-, not get rid of it entirely.

Disregarding the votes is also disregarding people's money, that is NOT cool, that's essentially a form of stealing. Elections are not canceled if fraud is detected, it is suspended in ways until the problem is solved.

GRUMP got taken off the Mintpal voting page... not cool.

What the hell - Why did they do that? Unless we're next to be added.  Shocked

I'm emailing them now anyway.

Yea, I tweeted them about it (CryptoPRO_ is my twitter). Dissapointed with it. supposedly someone else stated it's because of a bot, but I have my doubts about that. Either way, people wanted it on the exchange.

6  Economy / Economics / How to know "Current Total Coins" on: February 07, 2014, 09:42:18 PM
How do you determine the current total coins ( for btc or another alt coin )?

I'm trying to do a calculation to understand the current market cap for new coins that come out onto the market.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Pump Groups & Trading? on: January 20, 2014, 04:45:12 AM
I know there are some people who organize an effort to generally make a profit off of the market, are there any known pump groups or ways to know when a pump is about to occur?

I'd like to know either of the two (pump groups, or pump indications). I'd like to be ready in advance for the many different pumps that can occur.

Today for example, there was about 10 coins on Cryptsy or other exchanges that were pumped, and i could not seem to get in on any of them because they had already started. I looked into twitter-groups, but I'm curious if there is any known IRC's, known Forums, or other such sources that I can join on with.

Thanks in advance!

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Interest/Profit Calculator Suggestions for 1.5% Profit? on: January 12, 2014, 11:03:21 PM
I have an 80-10-10 system I want to try (80% Day Trade, 10% into my "BTC Bank", and 10% into a Cash Reserve for when the market bleeds/opportunity shows itself).

I'd like to try to implement this daily, the 80-10-10...but first I need to know of any potential calculators/math equation that can solve this:

1. Original Investment, $750

2. 1.5% Profit per day needs to be made on the investment of the previous day's total.

Example:
1. 750.00 + 11.25 = 761.25
2. 761.25 + 11.41 = 772.66
3. 772.66 + 11.58 = 784.24
4. 784.24 + 11.76 = 796.00
5. 796.00 + 11.94 = 807.94
6. 807.94 + 12.11 = 820.05

1.5% of the initial starting point needs to be made, which is considered $11.25, then the following day it's another 1.5% of the total earning made ($11.41 off of the $761.25), and it rises further and further, based off of my knowledge of the "A Penny a Day Doubled Every Day for 30 Days" concept (although in this case, it's not doubled, but the basis of it is similar, just in a 1.5% gain off each day).

3. Of the 1.5% gain made daily 10% of that goes into bank at 0% interest and another 10% goes into cash account.

4. Each day you add your gains to the original investment minus 20% (for bank and cash accounts) made in gains the previous day. How much would you have in each account after 1 year?

Daily Trade Account (80) = ?
Bank Account (10) = ?
Cash Account (10) = ?

I can do the problem myself slowly but surely, but I need to find a much quicker equation/calculator (preferred) that can simply do this for me up to a year.

TLDR; I need to find a calculator or appropiate math equation that can figure out my 1.5% daily gains up to a year
Example: $750 + $11.25 (<-the 1.5% of 750) = 761.25
             $761 + $11.41 = 772.66

What is the potential earnings I can make off of the initial $750 investment, with a 1.5% made each day, then 1.5% of the previous days earnings, and so on as shown in the example.

10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [Open Source secure trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: January 09, 2014, 01:24:07 AM
Hello, I'm checking out this nice piece of software out for the first time. Is there any beginner's information/quick guide on how to use this program? It's the first time I've used something like this, and I'm trying to understand the rules portion of the program, and how to utilize it to my advantage in a proper way.

Also, can I use 2 QT Bitcoin Trader programs running at the same time, one doing rules for BTC/USD and for NMC/USD for example?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ADT Androids Tokens NOW FIXED on: January 07, 2014, 10:02:55 AM
I download the new qt from your twitter link and replaced the files in the appdata with the new ones. When I started up the new qt wallet program for ADT it was showing out of sync. To fix this I applied the -recan command. The out of sync program is gone, however I have 30,000 total in my wallet, but they all show "uncomfirmed". My balance is "0" and my stake is "0".

I am new user to ADT community and have been to your other site under the username Nevah. All of the adt i have in the wallet were added during the out of sync problem. This is one my main wallet adresses "r33SF2oapKtkNTMz2oz7DBBBDuW3fNbar". What can I do to fix the uncomfirmed problem?

Thanks
Kevin

P.S.
I have been with keeping up with ADT and been member of cumminty for almost month now, and came on board with the problem with the wallet. I am really glad to see it fixed and appreciate the dev's hard work in seeing this through.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alternative Coin to BTC Profit w/ Prospero X-1 - May 2014? on: January 06, 2014, 01:53:39 AM
Hello, I've been investing into the cryptocurrency as a whole, by marketing with an ATI card on some scrypt coins, and have also been trading. I know this is the bitcoin forum, but it's somewhat related, so I figured I'd put it here. I've noticed that instead of mining LTC, I've mined some LOT coins, and have received more profit from that then mining LTC. I want to find an alternative to the BTC, that will still remain profitable, similar to how I mine the LOT instead of LTC.

My question involves the Black Arrow's Prospero X-1. I was thinking about ordering one, which I will receive on April 30th, and thus start mining probably in May. However, I know that by then, 100gh/s would not be good enough in May, but can anyone lead me in a direction that would point me towards an Alternative SHA-256 coin that could utilize the Prospero X-1 and be somewhat profitable (such as an alternative coin with a difficulty that does not change as high/rapidly as BTC).

Electricity costs is not a problem at all, I just want to know if I can -atleast- pay it off within 1-2 months after I receive it by mining alternative coins to BTC, coins via CoinWarz that have a good difficulty to mine at. I'm just curious if anyone has any "past information" or some sort of difficulty chart I could at for the coins that are currently available to mine, that would show their difficulty say a few months ago.

tldr: I'm trying to calculate the profitability of the Prospero X-1 with alternative coins come May. Whether it be past difficulty information on some of these alt coins (so I can see its trend of increase over time) or a site like the "GenesisBlock" calculator, but for the alternative coins to determine profitability. Thanks!

15  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stay away from Coinbase on: December 15, 2013, 08:22:49 PM
I have recently set up an account with coinbase and am still waiting for the tier 2 verification process to finish. So far my experience has been good. However waiting 1 week to get the btc in my account so far is very annoying. I have heard of localbitcoins, but have not used them. I am interested in looking for more options other than coinbase just in case. Does anyone have any good alternatives for getting money from a bank in the usa to bte-e (primary), mtgox or bitstamp (backups) exchanges faster. Currently i buy bitcoins from coinbase, then transfer that to the bte-e (exchange).

Little off topic, I know I am probably not understanding how it all works yet. But so far it seems you could buy btc from bte-e, then trasnfer if to mtgox and sell for higher. Seems mtgox is always selling higher than bte-e and thus you could make a profit. Since I am still waiting to get set-up on mtgox, and have not had chance to try this. Can anyone share there experiences in doing this?

Skully
