Just put the word pause at the bottom of your batch file.  Easier to do temporarily and it'll pause the window for you to see the error message.  Navigating to Windows directories via the command prompt can be a real pain depending upon the names.

When I double click the CGminer launcher it opens and closes so fast I can't see where the error is in the bat file.

Instead of double-clicking the batch file, open a command prompt (cmd) and navigate to the batch file and run it. It will keep the window open so that you can read the error messages.

For example, navigate to D:\Some Folder\Miners\cgminer-3.7.2
Then write myfile.bat (whatever your batch file name is)

While I realize this is the wrong place in the forums to offer this, I figured I would put it out there to the CleverMining community first.  My wife is relocating jobs out of state and it's going to be problematic to take my entire setup with.  I had a little more than 12Mh/s total and sold four video cards off one rig to a friend.  The motherboard, processor, memory, risers and power supply are still left from that one.  Would anyone be interested in any of that?  What about a 4.3Mh/s (4100WU) rig using five Sapphire R9 290's, complete with high speed blower fan and 1200W UPS (we have lots of brownouts in our area)?  I also have two 280x's and two 7970's not doing anything right now.  Basically took the whole DDOS situation to shut down and prepare to relocate.  Please don't reply in the thread to clutter it up even more.   Wink  Just send me a PM if interested.

Thanks!

Terk, not sure what you did, but my miners suddenly flaked out and crashed.  Spent the past 20 minutes getting them back up and going again.  The rejects appear to be back to low again and I do appreciate your efforts on keeping things smooth, but damn that was not fun seeing them all just crash like that.   Undecided

Been here for 33 days and I don't see any reason to leave for another pool.  People have to look at the bigger picture, exactly as Terk showed above.  I've looked at the numbers I had 6 months ago and also the numbers up to 12 months prior to when I started.  Many people just want things right now, immediately and fail to see or understand the market can and will drop, raise, rinse, repeat.  I see it in the numbers and there's no reason to think things are just going to instantly die, everyone swarm elsewhere.  I said it before in one of my posts and I'll say it again, just be patient.  Give it weeks, not days.

To everyone concerned about profitability: I am working hard on new ideas to implement to adapt to new market conditions and boost our profitability. Take a look at bigger picture and see how we're doing comparing to other multipools.

Good to hear this. Indeed, I've only been mining with your multipool for only 2 days, but the last hours got me concerned a bit. I'll stick with this multipool at least til Doge forks.

Huge thank you for this!  That closer server to me dropped my rejects to nearly 1% now and I'm even better off than before!

US East / New York City server is open:
stratum+tcp://ny.clevermining.com:3333

You should try it if it’s your area.

After being on this pool for the past 30 days and keeping tabs on the other places I had mined at previously, I can still say without a doubt that I am profiting more here.  This may not be true for everyone as each person's location, set up, etc can and will make a difference.  I do feel for the people who have to pay more for electricity.  Even if I were making a little less here I would still remain here due to the attentiveness and helpfulness of Terk as well as the information he provides.  Granted, it has been stated several times now that the overall altcoin situation is low at the moment.  It happens, has happened before and will happen again.  Just ride the rough patch and calmer waters will happen soon!
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 27, 2014, 01:45:50 AM
I never said do not complain.  I said to stop complaining over and over again.  Sure, if something seems really wrong, by all means say something!  But not to the point where you're stating it multiple times on every other page.  More often than not, someone else or even multiple people have also mentioned the same problem.  By that time, it's definitely known and no amount of hissy fits is going to make things fixed quicker.

Assuming he knows about a problem and not complaining, is just asking for trouble. At the end of the day we can't read his mind.

People should read this thread, terks posts and the faq before asking for help though.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 27, 2014, 01:30:59 AM
I am definitely not the longest running member here.  However, I have been mining with this pool for 19 days now and have a few suggestions for people who can't bother to read Terk's posts.

First, you can use the search bar top right search for "terk".  He has a bright orange rectangle under his name to make his posts very easy to spot.  His posts will answer 90% of what you will probably ask.  The rest of your questions probably have been answered elsewhere in the thread.  Use the search box to help narrow down your findings.

Second, more complaining definitely will not highlight issues and get certain things done quicker.  From what I've seen of my 19 days here, he is very aware of when a problem occurs and looks into it immediately.  It may require several days to fix as server fixes generally need a day or two minimum for patch testing.  Keep that in mind.  Basically, just be patient.  If you can't be patient, no one will fault you for going elsewhere.

Third, again, be patient!  I see so many people on every single page asking when something will be done, updated, rolled out, etc that it becomes rather tiresome to see the same thing being asked over and over and over again.  Especially when asked by the same people, instead of waiting for a response or even asking right after Terk has posted some information!

Regarding transactions, you will receive your payout.  I've personally had some payouts take a little more than 30 hours before something showed up.  I've always been patient and they've always shown up.  It all evens out in the end.  Some transactions take longer than others due to the type of coin.  Terk has already stated this several times throughout the entire thread and it becomes general knowledge after you've been mining on multi-pools for some time.  I'm about 7 months in on multi-pools in general.

Fourth, Terk is on the job, always!  From what I've seen during my time here, the guy has worked his ass off to get things running stable and is working on expanding the pool even farther with new servers.  Instead of constantly asking when a new server will be up, let him get things done.  If you have a legitimate problem, such as an accidentally entered in btc address, please do inquire with him.  If you want to keep asking about the status of something, stop it already.  He's working on it!  The more time he has to spend here answering impatient people is less time he can spend on his to-do list.

And lastly, there is no need for people to clutter up this thread with "that other pool is better than this one, I'm going back there!" type of posts.  Just go if you don't want to be here, please.

I suppose some people may ask why mine here?  My answer is simple.  The operator of this pool provides the best and quickest amount of information I've encountered to date.  He earned my patience and trust during the first week I started here.  That and my profits here have been better than any other pool I've mined with, hands down.  Naturally, results for other people may vary.  It's all individual.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 22, 2014, 06:30:10 PM
That must be why my rejects dropped to nearly 0%, stayed around 0.8% and the pool's hovered around 5.3% over the past 50 minutes!  I was wondering what happened, lmao!  Very nice, Terk, very nice.

And I have some good news!

I finished bugfixing another 3rd party stratum server to replace the previous one. I also rewrote it to be multi-threaded instead of single threaded (which is a big issue). I am testing it on some percent of the pool hashpower and results are very promising - number of rejected shares is significantly lower. I'll let it run serving part of the pool for an full hour and monitor logs and stats to see if no other problems arise and if nothing unexpected happens, I'll be switching the whole pool to it.

I'm using 5, 0, 30.  Not sure if it's helping me or not.  It sure isn't hindering anything.

You want to find a nice even balance between your hash rate and your WU to get as close to 1:1 as you can with them with as low rejects as possible.  Once you have that and things are stable, you should have your best settings.  I found these two pages very helpful for my current xintensity and thread settings.  And yeah, any hardware errors at all is bad.   Wink

I'm trying to adapt this to my 290X's (Sapphire as well). I had to bump my threads back to 27400 because I was getting scores of hardware errors. May I ask what scantime/queue/expiry settings you would advise?

So far things look hopeful, though I'm not sure why my old settings would be any worse than this. Thanks for taking the time to share this!
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 22, 2014, 02:46:20 AM
I guess while I'm at it, here are the settings I've found for my Sapphire 7970's that work well with the pool.  The xintensity setting of 4 is exactly -I 13, so no need to change if using that.  It was the thread, gpu engine and powertune that helped on those cards.  Numbers are 736Kh/s at 715wu, putting them very close to a 1:1 Kh/s and wu ratio, which is what you want.  That and keeping your rejects low.   Wink

-g 2
-w 256
--lookup-gap 2
--xintensity 4
--thread-concurrency 16384
--gpu-engine 1055
--gpu-memclock 1500
--gpu-powertune 15
--auto-fan
--temp-target 76
--gpu-vddc 1.170 (for some reason, anything lower causes system crashes, no matter what bios I've tried)
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 22, 2014, 02:15:17 AM
15% isn't that bad, so long as your reject rate is increasing and dipping along with the pool's rate.  Having said that, I've found the following settings for my 290's to reduce my rates lower than the pool's average and still follow suit too.

For my Sapphire 290's:

-g 1
-w 256
--lookup-gap 2
--xintensity 300
--thread-concurrency 20481
--gpu-engine 1015
--gpu-memclock 1500
--gpu-powertune 22
--auto-fan
--temp-target 80
--gpu-vddc 1.025

For my Asus 290's:

Same as above except xintensity is 124 and thread concurrency is 20996.

Another thing I've noticed with the new sgminer.  If I start the program, allow it to run for a few seconds, close it, then immediately run it again, it evens out the hash and wu quicker as well as keeping the rejects lower.  Not sure why, but it works for me.

Hope all of this helped someone!   Wink

Anyone using R9 290? What setting do you use to get low reject rate? Cause I've been trying this pool all day and my reject rate is floating around 15%~
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 21, 2014, 08:53:47 PM
If you're using the newest cgminer or sgminer, try these settings.  They seem to work quite well for two of my Gigabyte 280x's.  717Kh/s at 709wu each.

-g 2
-w 256
--lookup-gap 2
--xintensity 768 (xintensity has turned out to be exactly what I needed to do minute adjustments to get all my cards working very well with this pool!)
--thread-concurrency 20480 (using the 20480 Lantis bin that comes with the new sgminer)
--gpu-engine 1055
--gpu-memclock 1500
--gpu-powertune 20
--auto-fan
--gpu-fan 30-85 (I had to set this a few months back because one card kept staying so cool, the fans would turn off and the card would go sick.  This forces that card to always have the fans at least at 30% speed)
--temp-target 76
--gpu-vddc 1.025 (yes, undervolted to 1.025 and running smoothly)

Both cards are currently averaging about 5% rejects with those settings.  I'll even link ya to the sgminer thread in case anyone hasn't heard of this wonderful version of cgminer yet.

http://coinmyne.proboards.com/thread/24/sgminer-compiled-version-download

Can anyone direct me to a place where I can ask some config questions? I got some 280x's in and up and running using the settings I have seen posted around but I am not getting anywhere near the hash rate that they are claiming. I'm not sure if that is because I use GUIMiner-scrypt and Afterburner or not. I have yet to figure out how to successfully set up CGminer with more than 1 gpu.

I would post it here but I don't think that this is the forum for it. Thanks!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 21, 2014, 01:57:20 PM
Terk, I have a request regarding the individual user stats page.  Can you please truncate the Recent Payouts list?  After two weeks of being on the server, the list has grown rather long.  Maybe create three tabs: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days?  Anything past that don't bother keeping as it'll just clog up server space.

I've also taken the time to fine tune all my cards with xintensity and the latest sgminer in order to obtain an optimum balance with the server.  I have my reject ratios nearly inline with the pool's rejects, minus about 2%.  The profits have increased for me by doing that, so I'm happy.

I have noticed one rather strange issue after the last update, however.  I'm seeing "Rejected untracked stratum share from Pool 0" now about every few minutes on every single card.  Any idea why?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 19, 2014, 10:50:50 PM
Personally, I don't think launching other regions will help alleviate enough on the current server.  Having said that, it's Terk's call what to do.  Sure, I'm seeing rejects bouncing like a super ball, but at the same time, I'm also seeing some mighty fine profits!  I've mined here for 12 days now and can most definitely say it's more profitable here for me.  It was a bit rough at the beginning.  Rest assured, this guy has been nonstop working on fixing things.  If you have a question, search the thread first.  More often than not, the question has been answered in the thread somewhere.  I also do think the primary post should be updated with the most frequent questions and answers for the new people and also the lazy ones.   Cheesy
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 17, 2014, 05:01:49 PM
I figured out what my issue was.  I had turned on submitting stales after the post the other day saying it should be okay to enable.  After a few days, one of my rigs went bonkers with the amount of rejects.  I've disabled submitting stales on all three of them now and everything seems to have calmed back down for me.  Going through my log files, it doesn't look like many were accepted anyway, so no great loss for me.  Glad to be back to full strength to join in on today's profits!  Also glad to see the pool growing!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 17, 2014, 01:35:43 PM
Terk, what was changed over the weekend?  I'm now getting really bad reject rates again, higher than the pool and cards going sick or dead constantly like I was 8-9 days ago before the last update fixed everything.  I've actually had to disable one card because it was causing one rig to constantly disconnect.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 12, 2014, 01:27:27 PM
Thank you!  This right here is one of the main reasons I wanted to mine here.  I really like the way the stats are shown and provided.  Well that and the profitability.   Wink

I'm also happy to say my rejects continue to be at a lower acceptable level after that last update.  The chart shows I'm around a constant 2-3% and that's perfectly fine by me.  Please keep doing what you're doing and thank you again for it!

Real-time hashrate and rejected percentage data is available on user pages. It's updated every minute and shows last 60 minutes in 10-minute intervals. It isn't very pretty but it's working. The user page starts growing so I think I'll split it into some subpages soon so that you don't load all this data when refreshing the page.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 11, 2014, 11:26:22 AM
Nearly 12 hours later and my reject rates look to be averaging around 2.5%, which is perfectly acceptable to me.  I have not turned on submitting stales unless you think it should be.  Thank you again!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 10, 2014, 10:43:31 PM
Sounds like some of the updates I was waiting for.  I've moved things over to see what happens and have already noticed a huge reduction in the rejections I was seeing earlier!  In fact, I'm using the settings I was using previously on other sites, including what was my primary auto switching pool.  Thanks for keeping on top of it all!

Let me give you a status update on the pool, what issues has already been solved and what I'm going to do tonight/tomorrow to improve your experience.
