1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think that climate change is real? on: June 29, 2018, 08:45:41 AM
When I was a kid my family had a car without air conditioning; actually almost no one had air conditioning in their cars nor in their homes. Today, approximately 25 years later, life is unimaginable without it. So I would also agree that climate change is for real.

ICOs will be allowed also, it's just a matter of time. And matter of regulating them and finding the good mechanism for eliminating scams.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it my impression or media is biased towards bad news ? on: June 25, 2018, 01:26:12 PM
The reason is very simple ' Bad things spread fast'. We are so used to hatred that we have forgotten how to love. The media feeds us the bad news into our souls. A lot of blame must be on our shoulders as well because we let them spread such news.
To the point! Media is biased towards bad news generally, not only about bitcoin. Simply because people are more likely to click on such news. Another reason is because there's no such thing as independent media; interest groups (those affected by crypto revolution) are pushing bad news.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [VIDEO] What is an Airdrop? on: June 21, 2018, 02:17:50 PM
Airdrop allows fair distribution of tokens or coins to users. I myself have participated in couple of them and think they are better than ICOs
Well, agree on that to some degree but you can be a victim of scam from both.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is really life is beautiful? on: June 21, 2018, 01:29:41 PM
Beautiful doesn't have to mean joyful. Someone's hard life can be really beautiful. Same as art; Edward Munch's painting "The Scream" depicts agony, but it really is beautiful. Happiness, on the other side, requires some strength, braveness and a touch of good luck.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 Signs of an ICO scam: Red Flags of a Ponzi Scheme on: June 21, 2018, 12:22:24 PM
This is a very useful list for those who want to invest in ICOs. People should also rely on their own intuition, and pay attention to details like website quality in relation to what the project promises. One should even take a careful look at team members' faces, and if you don't like 'em, don't give them your money. Missing email address, social media links (especially those that are popular in the crypto world), no LinkedIn link next to team member picture, as well as using pseudonyms for team member names are warning signs.

Ulazi Mujo u restoran i sjeda za stol
Dolazi konobar i kaže:
Gospodine, ovo je švedski stol.
A Mujo kaže:
Kad Šveđani dođu ja ću ustat
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin would actually be overthrown? on: June 21, 2018, 11:56:45 AM
I think that it can. Remember the beginning of the Internet? Nothing was as unstable and unpredictable as the future of large IT companies, and Yahoo is a good example. There are cryptos that provide much more functionality; I'm surprised that ETH has not yet become a cryptocurrency No. 1.
10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are You a Cell Phone Addict? on: June 19, 2018, 11:33:50 AM
I really am a cellphone addict, don't know what I would do without it during everyday bus rides. But I do my best not to use it when I have company; it represents the ultimate rudeness and tells a lot about one's manners. In past years, you could see people hanging out in cafes and restaurants not talking to each other at all and just staring at their phones all the time, but it seems that people are starting to realize that it doesn't look nice.
11  Other / Off-topic / Re: Quitting smoking on: June 18, 2018, 02:19:20 PM
I didn't smoke for almost six months (unfortunately I started again), but during that time it was really helpful to drink a glass of water to eliminate the wish.

Also, people who want to quit should avoid parties Cheesy and avoid being under stress (e.g. around people that you don't like).

Listing on exchanges is typically paid for.

KYC is just a process for verifying a customer. The info will be kept offsite, securely, and in adherence to GDPR.

They don't convert ETH/Fiat to their own tokens. They will sell eth for fiat to fund the project. They will create their own ERC20 token and issue it to investors. This is either done at the time of transaction or at a later specified date.

It's entirely possible for an ICO to do all of this. They may employ other companies for certain roles. Publicity, PR, translation etc. The majority of ICO's however will do everything in house and by the team.

ICO listing sites can cost quite a bit also. Some as much as 10 btc just to list.

Thanks very much for the answer, especially regarding listing. Cheers! Cheesy
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How do startups implement ICOs? on: June 18, 2018, 12:37:06 PM
I was wondering how the whole ICO process looks like for the companies considering this kind of crowdfunding... How do ICOs get listed on exchanges, how do they process data from KYC (especially in Europe where they have to be GDPR compliant now), how do they convert ETH / Fiat to their own tokens? Do startups involve other companies for this process, or is it possible for them to perform this on their own? Thanks Smiley

15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: risk in hodling and trading strategy on: June 12, 2018, 02:06:00 PM
The easiest way to not lose money is to actually invest your money into coins that's been challenge through time but still there, people buying it and it's still marketable. Dont waste money on projects that has no transparency. Investing is not bad it's the coin that your investing into.
The best strategy described in three sentences. Constant DYOR is the path to success, things change on daily basis.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: WHY MANY OF YOU ARE POOR on: June 12, 2018, 12:50:14 PM
Cryptocurrency from my perspective should contribute to eliminating the economic inequality around the world, and disrupt the current order in which 1% of the people are owning all the wealth. And here's the answer to why many of you are poor, because of greed of that 1%.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: crypto trading ruined my health on: June 12, 2018, 10:56:51 AM
I also sit very much in front of the computer, but I managed to feel better, ease my back pain and lose weight by working out every day for half an hour. Not even too much: 50-60 push-ups, the same number of crunches and few kilometers of running. Also, crypto life brings some stress as well, so breathing exercises will do you well.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: June 12, 2018, 10:20:04 AM
Coinbase is an adequate choice for those who start with crypto. It's simple to use, it's big, which means that it's reliable because large number of people trust it. Also, for Europeans, newly established exchange Kriptomat looks like a user friendly choice - offering low fees and support in multiple languages.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 🔥🔥The best group for Crypto traders 🔥 🔥🔥 on: June 12, 2018, 09:22:17 AM
Crypto Warriors on Facebook seems like a decent group to me. They have some really fun posts, but also share important updates / tips. etc.

People that can't stand others' success, with ego bigger than real capabilities. Usually energetic vampires that make damage to other people in order to reach status - and finally succeed in that.
