hey, i wanted to request an invite when i realized that megahash is actullay a lot more than kilohash. nevermind, i registered before this new rule and actually have a whopping 28 dogecoins on my account.

since pretty much everypool has strong limitations on doge coins (50 000+ coins payout treshhold or MH/s restrictions) ill probably wont be able to mine at all.

I wonder how this affects BTC - EUR charts? Would this mean EUR exchanges would rise because of this or fall?

I have my own theory on both possibilities, but i'd like to hear from you guys.

I just noticed EUR prices fall almost at the same time USD prices drop.
Is this just because the market is flooded with Bitcoins and thus the prices fall?
I know BTC/EUR exchanges are very small compared to Yuan and Dollars, but still.

avast flagged it for me as well. bfgminer too. most of the AV companies added both of them to the blacklist. Both cgminer and bfgminer have been modified to malware in the past, which led both programs to be flagged as AV. make sure to download it from a save site though, just to be sure. The creators dl links are good.

its true. In theory mining with CPUs leads to a better distribution by giving more people the chance to mine. And becasue cpu mining is much slower than gpu mining, less people can hoard vast amounts of it and shooting up difiiculty in no time, especially if its a new coin. In practice, unless you have a good cpu, mining is pretty unprofitable

To be fair, even after several hundreds of trusted escrow transactions, trading somewhere else than on an exchange like localbitcoins and without escrow is a completley different ballgame. Especially when lots of monies involved

as long as normal people won't buy them and use them as a curreny, then no. It's way too volatile to be used as a viable currency. Atm, it's a speculators paradiese, alongside all the altcoins. But i guess this investment thing will be over sooner than later. There are mayn people who use altcoins to make a quick buck.

I mine when i am at work, but really it's not profitable. In theory you don't pay anything, but running my laptop 8 hours per day somehow makes me not feeling good about my CPU. Feels like i am killing it sooner rather than later.

Looking at the chart i think youre better off with scrypt and cpu mining than with GPUs. Even then. According to it i could mine 4 coins a day. Wouldnt even touch it if id be at home doing it
