1  Other / Meta / Re: What the hell is wrong with this site? on: February 10, 2014, 12:38:12 AM
The fact that it only affects new accounts is even more reason to fix it.  These are not restrictions, these are annoyances.

I could sit here and argue, but honestly I am not going to waste any more of my time on this site.  I have information and logs that proves that Mtgox is flat out lying about their reasons for stopping withdrawals.  But since I already got my money, I have no personal reason to be on here anymore, so I guess that makes it "Good luck" instead?  Guess y'all will learn the hard way.  No wonder Bitcoin is shit, as this forum is operated like someone would operate it if they were running a ponzi scheme, subduing its members voices as much as possible.

This is really ridiculous, and does NOT need to be this way for ANY reason.  I want to be active on this site, I really do, but with the way it's coded, it's just not possible.

I log on, forgetting my password for the first time.  Oops, have to wait 45 second each time I try with a new password.  How irritating is that?

Great, I logged in.  Time to search for posts about mtgox's downtime.  I hit the search button, type in mtgox, and WTF? It says I searched recently when I didn't.  Fine, I'll wait.

Finally, after waiting with my thumb up my ass for a minute, I search again, and I get results from years ago that are irrelevant.  Fine, I'll go to advanced search.

I type mtgox in the box, and enter 10 for posts in the last 10 days, and click search. Oops! Can't search more than once every X number of seconds.

I wait another minute, hit search.  Oops! I had my search term in the Google box and not the other box it was supposed to be in.

By now I'm sick of the BS waiting, so after putting my terms in the correct box I go AFK to play a computer game while the timer ticks down.

When I come back later, I click search.  WTF? I'm not logged in.  Time to start over again.

Fast forward to the time I actually get my search results, I find a thread to reply to to report my experiences with Mtgox.  So I type my reply, and then post.  WTF? It says I can't post more than once every 360 seconds, when I have posted nothing in weeks.

So I wait more than 5 minutes, thumb in my ass again, then I post.  WTF? It says I can't make the same post twice?  But my first one didn't get posted, and now I can't post this one at all. I've had this same issue before and it was hell trying to change the post enough so that it wouldn't trip the filter.  Only one attempt every 5 minutes is possible with that.

So yeah..... Fix your damn site, it's really annoying and I have NO frigging clue how it manages to be this popular with all this BS.

If this post even went up, it's a miracle, but probably the last one I make.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: December 28, 2013, 11:00:11 PM
Hi guys , is MtGox support on holiday?

I have sent about 5 requests to them 7 days ago, and did not hear anything back.

Pls confirm.... customer support at MtGox still exists??
This is the season for holidays.  Try #mtgox on IRC (freenode).  There is usually decent support there.

Usually as of 6 months ago or usually now?

We should probably prepare for the worst case scenario which is that mtgox will not pay us anything at all.  If so then we will have more credibility in numbers, which means the feds will take action.

I find it funny that anybody would still have money with gox seeing as one could easily have withdrawn btc and sold for a profit on other exchanges during the past few days.

Cancel your withdraws, buy BTC, wait until the price is slightly higher elsewhere and then sell. Violla, no more wiating for withdraw at gox.

If your in the EU, check out BTC-e, their EUR price is nice and they usually have next day transfers.

If you're in the US, try out coinbase, their price is the same as bitstamp and they deposit right to your bank account.

So simple...

Easier said than done.  I've been trying to cancel my withdrawals for more than a week now and they are still dicking me around and delaying things.

Seems shady.

I'm considering filing a complaint with the SEC and FBI for this ponzi scheme.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Mtgox Payment? on: December 18, 2013, 12:01:47 AM
I've been waiting for payment from Mtgox for over a month now and the customer service really has been falling short of keeping me informed as to why these delays keep happening.  Christmas is right around the corner and I was hoping to have the money by then but looks like that's not going to happen now.

Has anyone received payment from them recently?

Thank you.

Troll alert!
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cannot post on: December 17, 2013, 11:18:29 PM
You guys don't even understand the point of my message.  I have read the linked post twice.

I'm getting errors that I am double posting, when I haven't double posted, AND AFTER WAITING FIVE MINUTES.  It's a BUG in the software that affects new users, and it's VERY annoying.

The issue ONLY happens AFTER I receive an error for posting twice within 360 seconds.  THEN, I cannot make that same post EVER because it's counted as a "double post".

Please try to understand the problem before trying to guess a solution.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shouldn't the price per coin be closely related to the cost to mine them? on: December 17, 2013, 11:03:26 PM
As soon as AV manufacturers become better at ridding computers of BTC miner malware, expect the number of miners to drop sharply.  The cost of electricity makes it a not very good investment for legitimate miners.

Every time I am trying to post my other topic, I get the message that I already posted this (double post) yet my post did not go up to begin with.  Originally I got the message that I posted less than 360 seconds ago, but I made no such post.  Apparently there is some stupid rule that you can't post within 5 minutes of logging in?  Can someone enlighten me as to what problem that solves?

Edit: Incase it wasn't obvious, yes I am trying to post in the Newbie Forum.
