1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.5c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 09, 2021, 07:41:12 PM
Anyone able to get Phoenix Miner to report GPU temperature and wattage for a RTX 3090? I can get fan speed but not the other two. I need this so I can keep track of temperatures easily for another computer on my network that I don't use day to day. I can keep track of another 3090 in my main computer via Afterburner which has temperature and fan speed minimized to my taskbar. But that won't work for the remote 3090. I guess I could use HWINFO but would prefer native reporting via Phoenix Miner so I can monitor it with Claymore's Manager. Phoenix should come out with their own miner manager. Claymore's is great. I can see the vitals for all my GPU's easily in one screen.

In phoenix miner add the following parameter
-hstats 2

Can I control memory clock and core clocks from the bat files...? I m using rx580 armor oc edition..

Yes, here is what I use on my RX570 8gb MSI Armor cards using Phoenix Miner
-cclock 1170 -mclock 2170 -cvddc 850 -mvddc 850

After a few hours mining my second GPU stops mining and I see 0.000 MH/s with the statement "wdog GPU2 not responding" and  "wdog Thread(s) not responding. Restarting."
But nothing happens. Huh

I am not sure how to resolve this issue so I am looking for ideas here.
Below are the details of my set up.

RX 580 Saphire Nitro - stock bios
Driver: Adrenalin 2020 20.9.1
Miner: Phoenix 5.3b
cclock: 1170
mclock: 2170
cvddc: 850
mvddc: 850
Fan: 35

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

Any idea or assistance is appreciated.
thanks

Hi , i got the same card...

RX 580 Saphire Nitro - try MOD BIOS
Driver: Adrenalin 2020 20.9.1 = ok
Miner: Phoenix 5.3b = ok
cclock: 1170 = 1150
mclock: 2170 = 2100
cvddc: 850 = 875
mvddc: 850 = 875
Fan: 35

That could give you 30MH

Thank you for posting your numbers, this helps me tune the card.

Yes, crossfire is disabled. I set EnableUlps=0 in the registry for each card.

Yes, the virtual memory is set at 16000 | 18000. The only thing different now is the upgrade to 18.6.1.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Adrenalin 18.6.1 - strange behavior on: June 30, 2018, 05:14:05 PM
I just upgrade to the Adrenalin 18.6.1 driver on Win 10 on my 6 gpu rig.
I ran DDU, installed the new 18.6.1 driver, set to compute mode, run pixel patcher, restarted the pc.

When I launch the Claymore miner v11.8, the miner doesn't get past the following

ETH: 6 pools are specified
Main Ethereum pool is eth-us-east1.nanopool.org:9999

Then I see the following:
Miner cannot initialize for 5 minutes, need to restart miner!

All cards are are detected in device manager
In the registry, EnableUlps=0

Any ideas on how to resolve this ?
 Huh Huh

Here is a site to total your hardware wattage
http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/

You can always under volt and lower the core clock to lower the wattage total with tools like MSI AF.

There is a new version of AtiWinflash that runs on Win 10 v1803.

Hi All,

I am mining ETH on a 6 card rig (RX 570 8 gb) using Win 10. Using Claymore 11.8 with Adrenallin 18.5.1.
According to the Kilowatt meter I am drawing a total of 800 watts from the wall. Using AF, my settings are Core 1150, Memory 2175 and Voltage 900.
My calculation shows a usage of 560 KWh a month.

Is there anything else I can do or adjust to bring that number lower  Huh Huh
Thanks for any idea or advice.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4th GPU causes strange behavior on: May 20, 2018, 06:00:38 PM
Like the other said its a power issue I think your motherboard needs more power to run your 4 cards.
I experienced this on h110 btc pro when adding 1 more card in my rig its getting issue then I put the I add the 2 molex cable near to pcie x1 sockets  and everything it works fine so you need to put a molex cable in your motherboard near PCIe socket.

I added the connector from the PSU to the molex connector and it seems to be working... thanks for the advice  Smiley Smiley

Each GPU and riser will run on their own and work as expected.

Want to know how did you test the risers to work as expected

I have a feeling on these risers that might be the culprit

Are the GPU's modded?

Hi,

I connected each card separately and ran the miner and it worked. MSI afterburner and the AMD settings all worked as expected also.
The GPU are all stock. I am using a seasonic 850 Watt Gold PSU.

One observation, the less cards I have connected the faster the computer starts and shutdown.

Thanks for your input.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 4th GPU causes strange behavior on: May 20, 2018, 02:48:57 AM
My Set Up:

Mobo Gigabyte H110-D3A Bios version 25a set to mining mode (pci gen 2, primary video igfx, 4g enabled, igfx enabled, ac always on). PC Specs (8 gb ram, 120 gb ssd, RX 570 8 gb, riser cards, Win 10 Pro, seasonic 850w PSU Gold, Virtual Memory set to 16 gb)

Issue:

3 cards work as expected with no issues. When I add the 4th card I can see it in the Device Manager. When I attempt to open MSI Afterburner or the AMD Settings it hangs/freezes up. If I try to start the miner nothing happens. The mouse also hangs/lags.

Troubleshooting steps taken:

Each GPU and riser will run on their own and work as expected. I also tried every slot on the mobo and they work. The miner runs fine with 3,2 or 1 GPU cards installed. I have reinstalled the AMD drivers.

Any thoughts on this (More RAM, Another PSU) ? thanks in advance. Huh Huh
