any exchange?  Undecided

I don't know why there are removed from the OP, but Pigeoncoin can be traded on these two exchanges:

CryptoBridge: https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.PGN_BRIDGE.BTC

Crypto Hub: https://cryptohub.online/market/PGN/

It's also available on Exvo, but I'd recommend to proceed with caution with this one. There are rumors floating around about this possibly being a scam.

Hey guys, is the paper wallet generator for BTX still available? I want to give some BTX as a birthday present.

Thanks

Hi! Yes it's still available here: https://walletgenerator.net/?currency=Bitcore

And wise decision! Gifting BTX is a great way to introduce new people to this project.
3  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Crex24.com - Cryptocurrency Exchange [Official Thread] (Fiat deposit/withdrawal) on: May 13, 2018, 01:16:16 PM
Hey Crex24 Team!

First of all, thank you for creating and maintaining this great exchange with a straightforward and clean user interface!

And second, I was browsing the site and watching different markets yesterday and saw some coin named Clinton Cash. My curiosity got the best of me and I googled it and found out that the project hasn't been updated for a while now.

Today I took a look at its market again, and while I saw regular trades for the coin as recently as yesterday, there is now a massive sell wall at the very beginning of the sell order book, and considering the fact that there is also a huge sell order executed yesterday afternoon at just 1 sat below the amount of the current sell wall, it looks suspicious and can practically halt any possible further trades for this coin.

I should say that I personally don't own any Clinton Cash, but just wondered what is going on and whether it's someone trolling the traders, someone angry, or someone with a malicious intention abusing the system? Can you guys look into this please? Thanks!

The firewall is disabled ... the walled was restarted after the config file was saved. I`ve tried this

Code:
ccminer -a x16s --no-gbt --no-stratum -o http://127.0.0.1:8757 -u username -p pass

but still dosen`t work!

Well it looks like solo mining is disabled for this coin. Though I'm not 100% sure because I'm mining this on a pool and haven't tried solo mining.

I, too, recommend that you try to mine this on a pool. It's quite like solo mining and the rewards (minus the pool fee) are roughly the same.

So i`ve managet to make it run :

conf file :

Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password
rpcbind=192.168.1.100:8756 (change to you ip)
rpcallowip=192.168.1.1/24
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1

CCMiner

Code:
ccminer.exe -a x16s -o http://192.168.1.3:8756 -u user -p, --pass=password --coinbase-addr=your pigeon coin adress

Congrats!

So solo mining is not disabled for this coin. You just need to connect to your wallet through your LAN instead of the 'localhost', hence using 192.168.x.x instead of 127.0.0.1.

Thanks for sharing your findings here!

is it just an update to the last wallet or do you have to deinstall the older version and then install the new one completely new and import private key etc.?

It's an update. You don't need to uninstall the old wallet, re-sync the whole chain from the start, or import your private key into the new wallet.

You just need to download the new files and replace them with the old files in your system and everything should be fine.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 08, 2018, 10:46:39 PM
Just downloaded the new version of the wallet and ran it on my system.

Although it took a few minutes to start the sync process, it is running fine now. So far so good! Thanks!

~

I thought about quoting your post, but what's the point? 0 value, nothing to discuss, zero data, personal claims of being smart, rich and beautiful and playing the victim.

Wow! So many buzzwords! You're so smart!

BTW, none of them are true. You just pretend that they are true because deep down you know I'm right. And YOU are playing the victim here!

So my dear Watson, (I'll use it again, maybe this time you're going to dissect it the right way) when you have something of value to add to this topic do it, if not, do the world a favor and don't.

You sound upset young man!

Just think about the last sentences in my previous reply to you, and try to apply them to your life. You're gonna thank me later.

Goodbye.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining in Space on: May 08, 2018, 05:56:24 PM
My dear Watson, how about rather than trying to deduct stuff you start reading things twice, because your current stance and way of "discussing" makes you look not so......

Lol! The famous Watson was British, not American! If you want to insult, at least do a Google search beforehand!

If you're unable to think and motivate yourself to try and comprehend things, then my dear american, you're a lost cause.

Personal attack #1.

A value of 100 000 feet, just like 30 000 meters is, just like 50 Km or 30 Miles just a round number. It makes no sense to have stuff floating at exactly 100 000 feet in the air,...

Common sense not found!

... an American is going to think of 30 miles an European about 40 km, but mother nature doesn't give a damn about useless round numbers.
That was my point, if that's beyond you're comprehension skills there's nothing I can do to help you.

No I get your "point." Which is you want to win a fight from behind your keyboard. Plus, personal attack #2, and also again common sense not found!

Since you don't want to comment the others parts of my post, from obviously reasons such as admitting I'm right, let's go back to your portable solar panels.

Lol! You wish, tough keyboard warrior!!

Since you claim to be a "Professional miner" ...

I see that you are angrily reading my posts to try and find something to use against me! It's not just a claim. I am a Professional Miner, as in I own a mining farm, and have a hefty amount of money in my bank accounts because of that.

... I'm pretty sure you can easily do the math on how many of those solar panels would be required to power an S9, and then calculate how much they are going to weight, add the batteries needed, the controls for it, and then tell me how big this balloon is going to be ...at which point you're going to ask yourself for how long those things stay up in the sky and you're going to throw the papers in the trash  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Please do a research on balloons and the amount of weight they can carry.

Honestly, stop.
Nobody is crazy enough to strap solar panels to a balloon and let it fly 80 days around the world...
Or at least I hope so

Most of the inventors of the past were called crazy by other people too...

So you admit that I won, huh?!! Now where is my trophy?!

OK I'll end it right here. But you also should learn to stop personally attack people who offer a different opinion than yours if you want to be taken seriously, and research before you start typing.

Also have common sense and improve your English spelling!
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining in Space on: May 08, 2018, 03:57:34 PM
I think the temperature at that altitude is ideal for mining (It also bears the risk of the equipment freezing!). Now if only we could stick together a couple of S9's and hook them up to a little solar power generator in there... That would be even more amazing!

Hook it on what?Huh  Grin
Temperature in space close to Earth is around 10 Celsius, there is no risk of freezing and without air there is actually no air convection and heat is lost through radiation....it gets complicated.
But that balloon was flying in the stratosphere and at those levels the average is -20-10 C.

...

Really? Haven't you heard of portable solar power generators? Here, let me show you the Google search results for that:

https://www.google.com/search?q=portable+solar+power+generator

And 100,000 feet above the surface level is not by any means "close to Earth" AT ALL!

And there is a REAL risk of equipment freezing at that altitude, because temperature is around -50° Fahrenheit or less (-46° Celsius) up there, not "-20-10 C."

Unprotected electronic devices in general (and mining rigs in particular) are not designed to operate at those temperatures.

100 000 feet is indeed close to Earth, everything is the stratosphere can be deemed close to Earth when we talk about space.

Second, you took the temperature from 100 000, but that is just a "record" that doesn't have anything practical in it. If you were to hook your miner on a balloon you would go to the limit at which typical weather balloons fly and that is over 120 000-130 000 feet up, at that level it's not that cold anymore.
It makes no sense to stay at exactly 100 000 feet which is just an arbitrary point by human american standards, as half of the worlds doesn't have a clue how long a foot is.
Above 40 km  Grin up the average temperature is indeed -20 C.

Now, you would have to re read what I wrote before using caps:

Quote
Temperature in space close to Earth is around 10 Celsius, there is no risk of freezing and without air there is actually no air convection and heat is lost through radiation....it gets complicated

I said in space, close to Earth, and no, a miner will not freeze in space!

I'm not even going to comment on the portable solar generators....common, be serious!!!!

Lol! Do you even know what common sense is, Mr Proud Non-American?! And why do you imply that Americans are not human? Did they hurt you in your past?!

BTW, you don't have to take everything you read on the Internet literally. No offence, but it makes you sound not so intelligent.

And I am being serious. Seriously, look them up. Portable solar power generators are available in all sorts of capacities and can be used in there if protected properly.

The other parts of your post is not worth answering because whatever I say includes common sense and you don't want to include that in your comprehension skills so you can "win" a fight over the Internet.

hi guys my wallet is not connecting to peers ,anybody has the same problem?

Let me know how to resolve?

Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Pigeon\ and create a new text file, rename it to "pigeoncoin.conf" and put these lines in it:

Code:
addnode=131.215.166.149
addnode=135.19.75.147
addnode=159.203.91.35
addnode=159.65.100.176:8757
addnode=165.227.200.154
addnode=165.227.203.111:8757
addnode=167.99.144.206
addnode=188.165.244.7
addnode=91.154.83.16
addnode=99.252.164.118:8757

Save the file and restart the wallet.

It seems that not many nodes are online at the moment though, so it might take a while for the wallet to sync.

Hello,

I`m trying to solo mine with gpu!
This is my conf file :

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8757
server=1
listen=1

And this is the bat file : ccminer -a x16s -o http://127.0.0.1:3333 -u username -p pass

But i can`t make it run ... what i`m doing wrong?!

Thanks

Hi,

You made a little and easy to overlook mistake in your .bat file. The "3333" part does not match with the value for "rpcport=8757" in your .conf file.

Just change your .bat file to this and you should be set!

Code:
ccminer -a x16s -o http://127.0.0.1:8757 -u username -p pass

dosen`t work ... i get "empty data received in json_rpc_call get_work failed!  Undecided Undecided

OK, now here's some things you should check off the top of my head:

  • Is your firewall or anti-virus software allowing access to the port 8757 in your computer?
  • Is your miner updated to the latest version? (I'd recommend Suprminer for Nvidia cards https://github.com/ocminer/suprminer/releases/tag/1.5)
  • Have you restarted the wallet after saving those settings in your .conf file and let it sync before executing the .bat file?

If you've checked all these steps and are still unable to solo mine, try to add --no-gbt and --no-stratum to your .bat file, restart the wallet, and run the .bat file again.

So now your .bat file should look like this:

Code:
ccminer -a x16s --no-gbt --no-stratum -o http://127.0.0.1:8757 -u username -p pass

Hope this solves your problem!

Bitcore surpassing 1'000'000 transactions

Dear Bitcore community,

Just a small info: More than 1M transactions were made on the Bitcore blockchain: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/tx.dws?1000000.htm

Thank you to all participating in our mission!

- Your Bitcore team

Congratulations!

I am positive that we'll soon see a day in which there will be one million Bitcore transactions a day!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 07, 2018, 11:30:17 AM
Can someone please explain me what BTX offers, apart from obvious basics that most of alts today offer?

Or is there a place where I can find 'em?

In summary, and when compared with the leading cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin, we can see that Bitcoin can only have up to 1.2 million transactions a day, has high transaction fees, and is not very suitable as a payment method.

Bitcore, on the other hand, is able to process up to 48 million transactions a day, has extremely low transaction fees, and has the potential to be the ideal payment method in the future considering that it can process a very high number of transactions per day (which is a must for any payment method that wants to be successful).

It is also available on popular mobile wallets so it can reach to an even greater number of people, and it doesn't have a ridiculously high fee for merchants and any POS's (Point of Sales) that want to implement it.

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-mining-in-space-an-interview-with-miner-ones-ceo/
I was first doubtful if I will post this kind of topic since it seems useless to mine bitcoin into space, but after reading the whole article I thought that I will also share this historical even that took place 100,000 feet above the surface of the earth.

The company called Miner One has launched its mining rig called Space Miner One using a  hydrogen filled latex balloon. According to the CEO of Miner One "the goal of Space Miner One is to symbolically express our belief that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is about the future and the revolutionary technology at its heart: so-called blockchain technology. And with this new technology, the sky’s the limit.” And if you believe it or not it actually confirmed transactions at space, how cool isnt it.

I guess this even will be recorded in bitcoin history as the first mining rig to mine bitcoins at space.

whether to extract at least one bitcoin with this setting, to start it does not mean to start production yet, they should need a significant energy base if they want to organize really extraction of bitcoin.

"Extract" at least one Bitcoin? Read the article man. It's an experiment, and it's just one Raspberry Pi 3 and a battery. Mining one Bitcoin with this rig (if we can even call it a mining rig, lol!) would take centuries.

Baby steps, folks...
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining in Space on: May 06, 2018, 12:22:39 PM
Interesting article. And as the CEO himself said, this is more symbolic than practical, but I think it's a historical event nonetheless.

I think the temperature at that altitude is ideal for mining (It also bears the risk of the equipment freezing!). Now if only we could stick together a couple of S9's and hook them up to a little solar power generator in there... That would be even more amazing!

Thank you for sharing it here!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: May 04, 2018, 07:05:09 AM
Hi...In ccminer it has Bitcore as bitcore algo. Is it bitcore or timetravel10 plz?  Thx Smiley

Hi. It's the Bitcore algo, which was originally named TimeTravel10. Maybe it's a typo or it has been changed to save space, but you should just put it like this in your .bat file and everything should be OK:

Code:
ccminer -a bitcore -o stratum+tcp://server:port -u wallet_address -p password

Edit: More clear now.
Yes thx...What happened was..there is a timetravel10 update. So dev named timetravel10 update... another coin.. to timetravel and named BITCORE algo bitcore...which is really timetravel10. Smiley

Yeah things like this can get confusing sometimes. What I normally do is with every new version of miners coming out, the first thing I do is reading the help file/instructions that come with them and go from there. Because any changes made to the software are usually documented in its help files (should be anyway!).

im mining on bitcorepool.cc, you should try it.

Anything but. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/btx/#!extraction do you want to make it reach 50% again?

It's the address with boob in it.

LOL, the address with boob in it!

By the way, UMine and Omegapool are good too with regular payouts. I'm mining on both at the moment.
