1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow - v1.2 Released on: December 24, 2013, 04:04:13 PM
Hey there
I used the same passphrase for several transactions. I made a backup of the wallet then restored it on the new operating system and the passphrase now is incorrect. Have anybody any idea what this crap is about? It'd be much appreciated, I've already lost some bitcoins because of corrupted wallet (they are DOGE this time obviously).

I'm quite puzzled. So how can I buy bitcoins safely without linking my bank account to trade websites like bitcon.de?

Ok, so I need to install Python 2.7 with twisted package, then use python.py. The problem is that any time I try to open it this appears:

Any help? (oh obviously I'm an idiot and I deleted the wallet along with all the OS, then recovered with Recuva but the bitcoin client doesn't like it)

Anyone else having issues connecting to pools in general?  Only one I can connect to right now is dogepool.pw.

ALL THE GOD DAMN POOLS ARE F*CK UP. CAN ANYONE HOST A DECENT POOL THAT WILL NOT KEEP DISCONNECTING MY WORKERS CONSTANTLY??? I DON'T MIND HIGH FEES AS LONG AS THE POOL IS STABLE AND RELIABLE. THANKS!

www.gooddoge.com is stable, reliable, AND has low fees!

of course, we havent found a block yet either, so there's a tradeoff!  but we are offering a 100K DOGE bonus to whoever finds the first one in our pool Smiley

Can someone explain me why the blocks are "found"? Or link me a good guide.
I'm new at mining, I'm doing it for the glory of DOGE! (and cryptocurrencies in general)

Am I doing something wrong? Getting 100kh/s with a 7850?

Am I off? Or it's normal?

Thanks!

You should be getting at least 320kh!

Everybody's saying I should get 300kh more. Any suggestions?

It's a Dell XPS 8700 with i74770 and a XFX R7850 core edition.
I did have some issues installing the GPU (some beeps during boot), but it stills runs fine.

cgminer.exe --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 -u xxxxxx -p xxxxx  --thread-concurrency 4096 -I 11 -g 1 -w 256 -T

this will get you 315 khs on that card, use exact setting  and let me know what you get. Also make sure you are using CGminer 3.7.0 or earlier. CGminer 3.8.0 sucks Doge turds for mining Dogecoin LOL.

cgminer.exe --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 -u xxxxxx -p xxxxx  --thread-concurrency 8192 -I 13 -g 1 -w 256

~BCX~

I'm using 3.7.2. Could it be the culprit? Let me try it out.

I'm also using 3.7.2 for my 280x and getting good khs, is 3.7.0 much better?
change -g 1 to -g 2 it makes a big difference and add --lookup-gap 2  3.7.x are the last to support scrypt and I found them unstable over the long run.  I use 3.5.0 and have no problems.  Both my 7850 and 7870 average 300-325.

Changing from -g 1 to -g2 made me lost 120Kh/s on my 7970

Stratum connection to pool 0 interrupted
Pool 0 stratu+tcp://doge.scryptpools.com:3333 not responding!

This is what usually pop up every few minutes, it restarts quickly.

Well not that quickly, at the moment it's not working and it says
Waiting for work to be available from pools.

I'm mining it on http://doge.netcodepool.org  and one block gets found every 5 minutes because total net pool hash rate is 3000Mh/s

Vote DOGE here to send it to Cryptsy - https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/45115

Voted. The pool is down though.
much sorrow very meh.

I'm new and I'm writing this here because of the block.
I have a question: Is it normal that while I'm mining for a pool it stops every now and then? It's a dogecoin pool, maybe it's because of the few blocks?
