1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Whitepaper proofread and edit on: August 09, 2021, 08:14:19 PM
Hi everyone,

My team and I are working on a blockchain project, and we need someone to proofread and edit the whitepaper. The whitepaper currently has 5,567 words.

What we have right now is a full draft, but we need someone to proofread it, add additional content that is missing like the table of content, abstract, initial highlight bullet points, conclusion, etc. We would also like the person to put some design to it as right now it looks very plane.

Please let me know if you're interested and I'll send you the document for you to check and we can talk details.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are utility tokens dying? on: April 25, 2019, 03:48:16 AM
Yes they are and actually they should have never got any value at the first place.

Because, you are buying from exchange, using for services, reciever is selling on exchange and in this, why should it get any value?

Yes I agree with this in many ways. An ICO is a crowdfunding method. Imagine going to a shark investor with a whitepaper and an informational web page, and no previous execution or tangible results. They won't invest. The main issue was the over rated hype that bitcoin created for the rest of the projects. It was a double edge sword. There were winners and losers.

Anyway, I think that the coincidence between the current rise of the price (which hopefully will continue to be steady) and STOs could bring a new hype. And hopefully the new projects are capable of making the best out of a new possible hype.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are utility tokens dying? on: April 25, 2019, 03:39:08 AM
We have seen utility tokens that has partly diminished in activity maybe because of the side effects of crypto winter and the emerging trend of STO but no, utility tokens will not die soon since its an essential component in crypto projects and absence of which could be unimaginable and  chaotic. I expect a sudden resurgence in activity of projects that has utility tokens once the bull market is in full swing. Imho.

Actually I find what you say interesting. You perspective of an absence of utility tokens bringing a chaotic consequence, is it purely in terms of the reduction of the amount of money being circulated?
Or are there other perspectives?
I can think for example in the reduction on active labor in the crypto industry and a slower development of qualified professionals for the industry.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are utility tokens dying? on: April 24, 2019, 11:02:12 AM
The next post is just made out of my own personal opinions based on what I have observed in the past 2 years.
Let me know what you think.

It seems to me like utility tokens from projects outside the financial industry are dying. I refer to those projects that deliver services in the gaming industry, betting, social media, etc.
It seems to me that only those who offer financial services are surviving like cryptocurrencies, exchange platforms, STOs in the near future hopefully, and other financial services like Ripple.
Having to buy a token for each product or service you want to get is definitely not very convenient, and most people don't want to go through such an inconvenient process of leaving the long and well established services and platforms to become pioneers of a new one and deal with so much factors.

So seems to me that the faster the industry and developers start focusing on these type of services, the less weight the industry will have to carry also in terms of reputation. Because most ICOs were based in these utility tokens, and most of them failed or were a scam. But STOs don't give much room for that because it will go through legal processes. Or seems to me that way.
At the end of the day, I consider crypto is a financial solution, even more, an solution for investors. So projects should focuse on that niche, and not try to get on board people with other interests.

What do you guys think about this?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Prediction Platform on: April 17, 2019, 03:58:53 AM
Wow i've checked the site
I am not sure what's the algo they actually used for price prediction, they mix some with news.
Thus it seems to be more off fundamental with a little bit of technical analysis

Anyhow, don't take it as the only reason you would enter a position
Check and analyse then compare with these signals and etc

If you are be able to gather up more convincing points to actually enter one position
Go ahead!

Thanks for your feedback. I completely agree with you and the other comments in the post.
I'm actually looking for a coin prediction web to start from there a filtration process.
So the idea is to get this as a starting point for a deeper analysis later.
But if the algorithm they use is no good, then it's a big waste of time to even perform a deep post analysis because their predictions are not well argumented anyway.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Current Business State on: April 16, 2019, 02:30:02 AM
There is a Hype Cycle developed by Gartner used to represent the maturity, adoption, and social application of specific technologies.
It goes as follow:
1. Technology Trigger
2. Peak of inflated expectations
3. Through of disillusion
4. Slope of enlightenment
5. Plateau of productivity

I would like to know, as a technology and as a practical service, where would you locate Bitcoin?
In this link you can take the poll. I can't post images, that's why I created this poll so you can see the graph and vote.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin Prediction Platform on: April 15, 2019, 06:54:43 AM
Please be careful with such sites. The hosters often fill their bags with the coins they are going to promote and sell them as soon as the "news" and predictions are published and people start to buy.

Same schema as pump and dump groups in my opinion ...

Well yes, this is completely truth.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Coin Prediction Platform on: April 15, 2019, 03:23:53 AM
Hi, so I've been looking for some coin prediction platforms. I know of course no prediction may not be accurate but it would be good to be able to read someone else's predictions and based arguments.
I found https://coinpredictor.io/  which has been the best one so far due to the content and easy UI of the website. But honestly I just started the research and haven't had any real investment experiences. In about a month or 2 I can tell you which one has gotten the best results based on results.
If you can recommend any other, or had good excperiences with other platforms, please feel free to share them.

Thanks  Grin

11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: February 22, 2019, 08:41:27 AM
IMHO they are looking on trading volumes and rare tokens that you trade. As I remember coin will add on CMC after 50000 USD day trading volume.

They removed the exchange volume requirement a while back.

https://in.finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/coinmarketcap-removes-volume-requirements-cryptocurrency-192959566.html

Coingecko is far better than cmc tbh, they have excellent customer support which I adore the most about them.

Good to know, I will contact them to list our exchange there too  Wink
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: February 22, 2019, 08:38:38 AM
News about coinmarketcap is still a confusing news, there is no clarity from this platform, some say cmc is a scam for manipulating coins so that they can play around the market because traders rely on this platform.

Well they definitely have great power and play are huge role in the investors minds and decisions. So I'm sure the people who run this platform get all sorts of proposals. It's still a centralized platform.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: February 22, 2019, 03:30:42 AM
Thanks to all your answers.
So yes, I missed to mention the trading volume. Which I know is very important and actually our daily trading volume goes around 10 to 30 Million USD.

PRDAE Exchange info:
Note: The trading volume tracker is in Chinese, but google chrome will translate it. You need to multiply the displayed number x10,000.

And our channels are:

Actually our Telegram and Twitter are quite new. The exchange has been working for over a year now but was focused in Chinese market. We recently opened ourselves to foreign market and that's why Twitter and Telegram are quite new.
It would be great to get your insights about the exchange to keep improving  Grin

It's also worthwhile to mention that we will soon have our first airdrop in partnership with our recently listed coin ECHT (e-Chat)

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: February 21, 2019, 06:54:32 AM
Hello world,
So I've been trying to list an exchange in CMC. They actually manage the whole thing almost like a state secret.
The selection criteria is not clearly stated and they do not give any feedback on why the exchange was or wasn't accepted.
Of course it's important to have the basics like a fully functional product, clear rates and fees, customer support, and other customer client channels like a Telegram helpdesk group, Twitter for public announcements, etc.
But does anyone know which are the critical factors?
Or have some advice on how to get it approved?

Thanks, much appreciated.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be a volatile investment tool and payment method at the same time? on: January 23, 2019, 09:18:46 AM
It definitely can stay both at the same time. It's just that with huge volatility present, the people who are going to use it for payments is just going to be a minority; pretty much like the current state of bitcoin right now whereas pretty much only the people in the bitcoin/cryptocurrency community are willing to pay using bitcoin. With time(probably a lot of time), bitcoin should attain stability as more regulations come in along with market liquidity. This is one of the things that are just a matter of 'when'; then bitcoin can be used and owned widely for both store-of-value and for daily payments(assuming bitcoin is very noob-friendly at that time).

I agree with what you say,and actually if I understand correctly, you are saying that it can technically stay the same, but not gonna work as well for both. Which is exactly my point. These 2 factors are counterproductive to each other. The more volatile, the less people will use it for daily payments. Because that means they are either loosing a lot of money money, or should hold it because they are earning money.
So I'm not sure if I got your idea correctly, but I think we agree on the fact that once it becomes stable, then it can become a standard payment method.
With all the user friendliness included for non-tech users.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can Bitcoin be a volatile investment tool and payment method at the same time? on: January 23, 2019, 06:17:28 AM
At some point in time I guess it will become either one thing or the other. It cannot stay both at the same time. Can it? Is it a healthy usage method to have it as both?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs 2.0 enough to regain trust from investors? on: January 16, 2019, 02:39:38 AM
I also think that one of the problems is the actual usability of the token. Talking about utility tokens, they usually pretend to be utility when they are obviously acting as security. Projects sell as utility to stay out of legal troubles, but the real reason reason people even take a look at them, let alone buy them, is to sell them a few days or months later to get some profit out of it. So I agree that most tokens don't need a utility token. It's super inconvenient having to buy a different token every time you want to access a certain product or service. Plus having to consider price fluctuations, listings, etc. when you need to buy that utility token.
The truth is that the model ICOs (referring to the ones using utility tokens specially) are using (with market caps, limited number of tokens, etc.) does not fit them. The way I see it, this model is suitable for coins. I don't think they are very suitable for non-financial products/services.
I think we can all agree that the reason why people buy crypto or tokens, is to make money. So if we are using it as a financial service (similar to bonds or stocks), why do we keep trying to make it work as if it was a consumer product.

I believe that if projects developing utility tokens want to go the complex way, in which people need to first get exposure to the project, then they like the product, then they go to an exchange, buy the token, then use it to access the service, and in parallel use this token for trading and profiting, it will never become mainstream. The question is, do we want it to become mainstream? Clearly project owners do. They are in the business to make profit, and the more users they have, they more profits they get. Maybe some early users want it to stay they way it is, or like some exchanges are doing, start promoting brokerage service to try to get more people into it. Make the whole system as friendly as possible.

I think we are in a place right now where big decisions have to be made regarding ICOs. In the mean time, I see STOs as a more logical approach.
