I really like the concept behind this coin (which is why I bought into it). There hasn't really been a go to "charity" type coin yet but I think this one has the best name and it feels natural to "give someone karma".
I agree so to the first person that quotes this post of mine and shows a screenshot of their desktop with wallet that has under 500k karma coins will receive 100,000 coins. Include your wallet address also and I will deposit when I see it. Also include a screenshot of your transactions so I know you didn't just send it to someone else to get under 500k. Here this is even better http://explorer.karmacoin.info/address/KHiY7ssBaQJ5H9yKQrJbUsyEqZs8NoNhD3KHiY7ssBaQJ5H9yKQrJbUsyEqZs8NoNhD3 ~242,000 edit: started mining about a half hour after hashstrike opened their pool and got the account unlocked to add payment options...havn't stopped yet. 70K/hs sent 100k with transaction ID 3a0943ac3fd6afeb2621bc5755611f0efebe84ff9af5f1dcc15db3a436f108f8-000 also sent 100k to "vingaard" 68f5ff17de8a74938a9e9b88817a866d061ab4ddcb299de2fccb5961a7eb16a2-000 also sent 50k to "theneos" 1096f9e2ce6aca310418c886b35819ce531ce64d50ac98dd96d3fdc8d8272f4d-000 also sent 50k to "bitcoinpokerbro" 85392c2e4c51799340d07e1befbb763123beb0dbe2d43f10715e38160c268baa-000 also sent 25k to "slickleg64" 39c9bf89c58c90e3198d3e61a46983c0e3b686b548cf2b69e02fe108ea3a2318-000 you are welcome guys, I was in a good mood, spread the karma

Lets money flow in game http://goldrush.l8.lv/ rule the cryptocoin world m8s Cryptofountain has some problems? yeah cryptofountain stopped working for me earlier and autoswitched to DOGE mining since I have the failover command but I am now using "miningpool" for the current moment for klondike.

why does it seem like it is more profitable at the moment to mine another coin, then sell that and use the money to buy more DBG than if I were just mining DGB myself?

So is the Small Time Miner DigiByte Pool pretty much the entire DigiByte network now? I've tried mining at other pools but even over extended time you don't get the correct amounts of coins you would think you should calculating your hash rates against the nets hashrate so it seems like the only place people are getting proper proportions of coins is smalltimeminer. very disconcerting... Does anyone see this any different than me?
http://digi.coinium.org is working well for me. I have been running the dgb.Get-By.com pool since the day of the launch. I have only had a single user communicate a concern that the proper number of coins weren't mined: and it turns out that user didn't understand that shares are not coins. I was using dgbgetby also but for several hours I haven't even had any unconfirmed coins show up so I ended up switching for now. You didn't go a few hours without an unconfirmed coin. We did just have a really unlucky block, around +400%. But, even that block wasn't a few hours. We also had an extremely lucky block at around -2,000%, so please do not judge a pool by one un-lucky block. I sent you a Personal Message requesting more information, to look into your account if your interested. yeah it was 2 hours, just felt like longer since I got a few hundred before that and i didn't pay attention to anything but how many thousand I had which didn't change so sorry about that, a few hundred more just came in. Doesn't seem like I get as many as I would like though with 4500+ khash.

If you have 4200k/h power.... would you solo mine at the current difficulty of 15 or stick with pool?

your xfx is voltage locked at 1.17 when other people are running 1.0 to 1.05 volts, so your card will always run above 80 degrees, probably 85 degrees if the case is open and you put a fan on it, otherwise maybe even over 90 degrees.
best thing to do with that card is to flash it to the gigabyte bios, keep your case open and have a fan blowing on the video card.
its one of the worst cards to mine with in my opinion but you can easily get 730 khash on it with core at 1080 and memory 1500.

2 750 watt power supplies might give you more connections for the 7 video cards, of course a solid 1200 watt or 1300 watt would do nicely also. I think my coolermaster 1200 watt has enough connections for 4 video cards but it doesn't have many regular power connections for fans, etc which you will probably need to put adapters on to power the video cards. That is with each of my 4 video cards using 2 power connections.
If those 270s only require one power connection then you might be ok with a solid 1200 watt power supply but 2 750 watt power supplies might even be around the same price or cheaper and would work pretty well. If you want a little headroom then you can go with 2 750 watt power supplies.
of course I kind of actually prefer the idea of 2 750 watt power supplies so you aren't continuously stressing the power supply so much. I had an 850 watt antec burn out on me a few weeks ago with just 2 280xs on it. So for long term use I would probably stick with 2 750 watt power supplies.

Welcome Jsnp, and I am on the point to get a 7.5TH/s in 2014.
I think he was asking about scrypt altcoin mining. But 7.5 Th is impressive ..hopefully you receive it early 2014, don't know how impressive it will be the second half of the year. My current setup gives me between 8000-8500 Kh/s considering variance. One card is out of commission due to bad vram I think, hopefully get it RMA'd and back online for 9000+. Still a small fish in the pool. What coin are you mining? If it is within your budget, should give some radeon cards some thought ..but I'm sure you're probably already aware they're better performers vs nVidia. Welcome btw Man if 9000 is small fish in the pool for scrypt, I feel TINNNNNY lol. By tonight, I should be around 3000.
