1  Economy / Economics / Re: Offline stores that accept payments using bitcoins on: November 14, 2018, 04:12:40 PM
Sure, and it was pretty surprising! I have seen an ad in the window of a small flower shop that they accept Bitcoin. To me, it was almost shocking as Bitcoin is not that widely known and built out in my country. Even more surprising, that it was in a relatively small town with maximum of 15k people living in it. It was a nice experience though
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the correct time to purchase bitcoins and al-crypto? on: November 14, 2018, 04:09:17 PM
I still consider the current as a bear market so maybe it is good to get involved now. I do not expect such a rapid growth like in the past few years, but I believe that it will be the future and prices should go up sooner than later
3  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people will drive Bitcoin adoption more than the older generation. on: November 14, 2018, 04:06:08 PM
Agreed, the next generation is socialized on the internet and gadgets. There are some older people who are curious and willing enough to keep up with new technologies, but it will definitely help that while I was playing with toys or maybe floppy games in my childhood, they spend their lives on tablets consoles.
4  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell us about your experience on: November 14, 2018, 04:02:39 PM
I cannot consider myself as a crypto-millionaire, but I definitely find the whole blockchain ecosystem pretty enticing. Since I have always been keen on new technologies and I believe in decentralization, I am very curious when and what extent crypto will takeover in several parts of our everyday in the near future.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the problem of trust in projects? on: November 14, 2018, 03:57:51 PM
Although I agree that the current ICO market situation is unsustainable, I do not think that simply ban all of them is the solution.

Measures are needed to make the ICO world more transparent and trustworthy. Scammers will always come around especially in this crypto sphere. I believe it should be a minimum expectation for the project to at least have an MVP. Other idea could be to let them raise funds after certain milestones in the roadmap, making sure that they do not get all the money in the beginning which often makes no interest to develop and that is why many projects are heading nowhere.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks Just Suffered Their Worst Loss in Months on: November 13, 2018, 03:19:59 PM
Apple has just took one of its biggest hit in its history in the stock. Suppliers believe that the demand for the new phones will decrease and it caused a huge downturn in Apple stocks
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Currency on: November 13, 2018, 03:14:29 PM
I rather see it that we will be talking about Bitcoin mainly because of the blockchain technology behind it 5-10 years from now. Although it was initially created to be a government-independent currency, there will be better solutions in terms of online currency
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain will help Economy. on: November 13, 2018, 03:09:42 PM
Blockchain technology will play a significant role in many industries from accounting to logistics. I believe there are also more fields that have not been utilized just yet, but will be in the next couple of years.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax on the crypto currency! What do you think? on: November 13, 2018, 03:05:15 PM
There will certainly be a clear regulation at some point. Thing is, some governments already took time and took measures while others simply not paying that much attention to crypto just yet. I believe there will be a cross-country regulations in the near future
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversify Investments on: November 13, 2018, 02:59:51 PM
I hope that the whole ICO ecosystem will eventually be more transparent and better regulated. There are tons of projects that are leading nowhere, some of them do not even have an MVP. Until that, Bitcoin might be safer than altcoins
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Do You Safely Secure Your Crypto Accounts Passwords Except in You Mail on: October 04, 2018, 03:30:03 PM
I know it is not very 21st century, but keeping your password written down to somewhere (maybe a book) is still a viable option for me. Of course, the negativity is that you do not access it anytime anywhere
12  Economy / Securities / Re: Tell me what you think on: October 04, 2018, 03:27:43 PM
I would advise that first create a proper business plan or just sit down and think through where you want to get to. You might come to a conclusion that you will not need an ICO at all because it might cost you more (and not just money but other resources) than you can profit from it
13  Economy / Economics / Re: So many cryptocurrencies ! on: October 04, 2018, 03:23:28 PM
There should be a systems that evaluates new currencies and ICOs. Unfortunately, the good projects who actually want to do something are affected badly because of the too many sh*tty coins trying to just make profit
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Who controls the market? on: October 04, 2018, 03:21:34 PM
The "control" here is different than in the normal financial world as there is no certain authority who takes measures. Here the price is affected by people who buy and sell and also from news in the media that influences people to buy or sell
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful ICO Experiences on: October 04, 2018, 03:16:19 PM
I think it is not only up to the project itself. In the current market no matter how great a project is with actual vision and good team, it probably will not perform as well as many ICOs did in the beginning of the year. Utrust for example had 10x plus compared to ICO in January, and you can check where it is now
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PURPOSE OF TOKEN? on: October 04, 2018, 03:13:48 PM
Depends on the project, there are mainly two types of coins:

-security token: it acts somewhat like a regular bond, investors might even get shares and profit comes from the performance of the company

-utility token: it has a more real-life purpose, for example crypto casinos, where you use the tokens to play black jack etc.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: October 04, 2018, 03:06:39 PM
I cannot see the actual purpose of most altcoins either, maybe the exceptions are the gambling and casino platforms where you play with the tokens
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover? on: October 04, 2018, 03:01:49 PM
Tough to predict honestly. I always felt that it should recover by the end of the year just like in previous trends but I am not so confident about it anymore
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: October 04, 2018, 03:00:27 PM
I do not see crypto totally replacing fiat anytime soon. Besides the concerns we are too much used to fiat to rapidly replace it. I rather imagine a co-existence here
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economy level? on: October 04, 2018, 02:47:34 PM
I don't think so. Bitcoin and rather blockchain can be useful in many terms, but to stabilize and enhance a whole economy you need to take many more factors into consideration.
