1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 30, 2018, 01:04:06 AM
The level of "this is bad" has reached new levels. I am paying a lot on electricity per kWh and right now I am barely breaking even. ETH is under $400... I am very very close to unplugging...

Do you have Bounty program? Where I can read it?

EARN REWARDS
by Listing and Enlisting Businesses into Accepting Cryptocurrency
Mark the place on the map and enter email of the owner / manager. Every email has to be unique. The owner has 7 days to confirm the listing through the system-generated email, otherwise the listing will be considered invalid. After the listing is confirmed, your account will be credited with 100 GRFT if the location accepts or wants to accept cryptocurrency and 500 GRFT if the venue starts using GRAFT enabled payment terminal or GRAFT POS.

The GRFT you earn will be transferred to your wallet within 45 days since the owner confirms the listing. If you’ve added a venue that already accepts cryptocurrency via GRAFT or other means, the location will show up on the map in CryptoFind. Other users will be able to flag the listings if they find information incorrect. If multiple users flag the listing, it will be marked as invalid in the database and the GRFT will be debited from your account.

Upon listing 5 locations, you will receive a bonus of 250 GRFT. Upon entering 10 locations, you will receive a bonus of 1,000 GRFT, 25 locations - 5,000 GRFT, 50 locations - 10,000 GRFT, and 100 locations - 25,000 GRFT.

You can list a maximum of 100 locations using one account.

Other than the ones listed in the app are there any other ways to earn rewards?

There are a couple of scenarios where mining is still worth it.

1. You have the hardware lying around doing nothing and all you need to do is buy GPUs. Even that is going to be hard cause ROI on just GPU is close to 1 year now.
2. Electricity for you is either free or close to really really cheap. I am talking 0.07 kWh or less. In that case no matter what happens to the market you will still be there mining and getting something back.
3. You love tinkering with hardware/software and are techy. Passion beats everything, and if that is the case ROI or anything else does not really matter.

Biggest problem is that ROI right now for a new rig is around 12 months whatever you mine. 12 months in crypto is an eternity and no one knows what will happen. We might get some good months but most people say that only worse times are coming from now on. Difficulty will keep increasing and new players in the crypto to bring new cash in will be less and less.

claymore is great but i don't like consoles. he should make a nice graphical interface to be very easy to use without so many --console --arguments. also claymore charge too much, the miner fee i think should be a lot less

If you don't like consoles that means you are not a developer. Therefore you don't understand the complexity in writing the kind of software you described.
Also; if you think claymore charges too much; how are you going to get back your investment for writing this really complex piece of software?
