Hey guys, So I'm doing some research and want to create a full report of the best examples of blockchains implementing PoS. I wanted to get some expert opinions so I came to the place I know has them. Questions I want to answer: 1. Which are the most successful models currently running (like DASH)? 2. How many Nodes did they begin with and how many do they have now? 3. Where can I find historical data for Question 2? 4. Also, what were the rewards per node when the blockchain first launched and today? If you can help me with any of these please leave a comment below, I need the collective brainpower of the "BTCtalkers"! Thanks, guys Edit: Also, if you know the answer for the question to just one single crypto then please leave a comment as well, I don't mind digging through piles of info so long as I know I'm digging in the correct pile, nahmeen? Thanks again

There's no such thing as betting/investing/trading without risk. If there was such thing as no risk, then everyone would've put 90% of their funds in those and everyone would win. Even simply going to college is a risk.
True, everything comes with risk. I would say low-yield bonds are maybe the lowest in risk, maybe buying gold? Anything else is going to have an inherent risk, hell a bus could hit you tomorrow, does that mean you'll stay indoors from now on?

This is true of the entire industry now though.
So long as we continue to see scammers in the smoke and mirrors of ICOs, we'll see them try to phish out our info to use for their own benefit. Like the facebook thing, everyone KNEW their info was being recorded... but nobody wanted to acknowledge it, as soon as shit hit the fan EVERYONE wanted their privacy back.
Let's be clear people, you can't expect your info to go into a random website and be safe... do your due diligence or stay out.

Research, research, research.
Learn about all the major cryptocurrencies (BTC, ETH, XRP, DASH...) Learn what makes them different, why they are useful and why they were so widely accepted. Learn the different aspects that make a successful coin/token, whitepaper, team, background, niche, overall feel, market opportunity. Read until your eyes bleed from so much goodness!!
I think the only thing that sets an expert apart from a newbie is knowledge and experience.
READ AND DO
Success will follow.

However, Ripple has been growing so well lately that at least a short time you can earn it with proper trading.
Yeah, for the short term. While the moral aspect of it says 'steer clear', the functional aspect says 'fastest international transactions at the lowest possible fees'. They targeted their entire marketing towards a B2B audience by only catering to banks and larger financial institutions and THEREFORE I, too, would agree it's a fantastic short-term hold. Hold while it makes all the new contracts with all ze big companies and as soon as you see a new company launching a product that's faster, SELL.

Tether may be the most stable of the currencies, always maintaining their dollar parity value.
So, I don't think he really means the currency itself, but rather the founders, yeah? You're saying they're holding onto a goldmine because all other currencies are volatile af, while Tether stands its ground. ALL done with no backing and simply a promise that they hold a dollar for every Tether issued. I always thought Tether was a scam. But tbh, all those scam ICOs left a lot of disgruntled investors but they also left a few rich "cryptocapitalists", so I would say technically, you're not wrong.

No investment is ever truly "safe".
As with any other investment there's always an inherent risk that makes the investment, well, an investment. Now, having purchased BTC and trying to find the best way to store it from hackers is an easier feat. As stated above, there are numerous wallets both online and off, all of these have different advantages and you can choose the one that is right for your needs.
Keep the private keys away from any public sources and don't walk down any dark alleys and you should be able to remain safe. Also, try to always verify the sites you're using are 'secure', as phishing sites are probably your biggest threat.
Happy hodling!
