2  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Habanero - 650GH/s - Batch 2 Shipping June 9th, $850 ($1.3/GH/s) on: June 12, 2014, 11:09:41 PM
Yes, I can report as well that the Corsair H100i stand offs are too high. My Habanero came in today (yes!) but as I started installing the H100i, the CPU block did not fix properly. Going to go try to find something that will work for myself. Just beware if you order this water cooler you may need to use some different stand offs.

Have received my 2 Habanero boards.

Tried to fit the Corsair H100i and it seems the 115x stand offs are too high. The CPU block has about 5mm of space to move up and down. The LGA2011 stand off did the trick but had to source 4 separate 4mm nuts to screw it down. Still to be tested.

While I was sourcing the 4mm nuts, I also started setting up the XSPC Water Cooling Kit for the 2nd board.

While I have both boards ready with water coolers installed and powered up, I keep getting the following errors on cgminer:

Code:
[2014-06-10 23:21:10] Hashfast detect (2:17) failed to initialise (incorrect device?)
[2014-06-10 23:21:15] USB init, open device failed, err -3, you don't have privilege to access - HFA device 2:17-i1

ha and it just occurred to me that I didn't run cgminer with sudo .. this may be the cause of my errors.. will attempt to run again later tonight after work. Silly me.

Back to work i guess,
QG

My mini rack of two S1's, two Block Cubes, and 1 Chili Miner. All kept pretty cool but looking to add fans on my S1's soon. 3 PSU's one 1000W, one 850W, and one 650W. So far so good and stable.
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: HELP Please : ASICMiner Cube (30GH/s) with MAC OS X ? on: February 28, 2014, 07:04:08 AM
Read the setup guide posted above, your ASICMiner Cube uses the now old Getwork protocol, it can not communicate with stratum servers directly.

Read the guide all the way through and you will see what you need to do to get it to work.

OliRS is right, I have a few cubes hooked up and running through a proxy running on a mac mini server. Try to follow what Nwoolls did here

http://blog.nwoolls.com/2013/05/28/bitcoin-litcoin-proxy-mining-on-mac-os-x/

Just instead of mining litecoin, you want to setup to mine bitcoin. Once you have the proxy running, you want to point your miner to your computer IP address. Hope that helps.

I'm pretty new to it all but I am pretty addicted as well. I've done my fair share of research but everyday I seem to learn something new. After about a month of research and trying to decide if this was a hobby I wanted to pursue I mistakenly ordered a BFL 30 device. Luckily for me, it arrived within a week right after thanksgiving (I have no idea how!). That what got me cooking. After the purchase is when I learned about all the horror stories of BFL shipping and power supplies (knock on wood). I've since been able to acquire a Chili Miner and just ordered a Block Erupter Cube as well (first group buy), slowly just reinvesting my earnings as of now. That initial BFL purchase sucked compared to what I am getting hardware for now. Feel like I got raped on that deal, but at least I got the hardware so no complaints here. I would still consider myself a noob however, and just wish I got in earlier, but who doesn't?
