1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best investment strategies ? on: December 18, 2018, 03:19:56 PM
Best strategy is to never go against the trend, buy in bull market and sell in bear market. Trend is your friend, remember.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin above USD 8000 on: December 18, 2018, 09:22:47 AM
Bitcoin price broken USD 8,000 for the first time since March after rising by more THAN USD 1000. it is great. If it is sustain here, sure it will rock.
I think bitcoin will reach $10,000 before this month ends, I really believe in that. I know that bitcoin will explode again and will reach $20,000 in the coming next month. My Hope is there. And then altcoins will next to bitcoin just like eth do today. Some alts are really profitable.

Everything went worse then expected I suppose? I feel your pain brother Sad .
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just RELAX, it will be OK! on: December 18, 2018, 09:20:14 AM
Why are people panic selling right now? Scared of a little regulation? That is bull! G20? All they might do is AML prevention. If you are not laundering money, nothing will happen to you!! And we don't want money launders in our midst anyway! Chillax, it will be OK!

Yeah, it will be OK but for who, and when? Cheesy
Most cryptocurrencies investors are experiencing a big loss for now.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum under $400 will be a good buy or ? on: December 18, 2018, 09:18:10 AM
Now Ethereum for 93$, so yes, under 400$ would be a good buy if by <400$ you mean 80$.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on Redfolio on: December 18, 2018, 08:52:21 AM
9 months has passed and now I can't believe cryptocurrencies got dumped so hard.

For every 100$ I invested, I have lost 91$ as of now. Apparently, holding isn't worth it during the bear market.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your undervalued coins list on: April 29, 2018, 07:29:26 AM
In the top of the list I will put Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin will get to 100.000$.
Second in my list is Bitcoin Cash, my price for it is 20.000$.
Also I like komodo, Verge and Siacoin.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO vs EOS, Which is better For the Future? on: April 27, 2018, 06:52:44 PM
In my opinion NEO is better, it has better and much more developer rather than EOS. EOS is nice too but I like NEO more.  I also own a few NEO, not so much but don't want to miss in case it moons.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VERGE ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH PORNHUB!!! on: April 18, 2018, 11:38:33 AM
The sharp price decrease got me into buying a lot of Verge today. I see as positive the partnership with pornhub and very promising so I bought them.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin above USD 8000 on: April 18, 2018, 06:31:13 AM
Apparently BTC has found some good support at 7800$, it looks strong so next target I see is 8200$, I think today we will start consolidating there.

Also Monero looks very nice today, very promising.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy or sell crypto for cash? on: March 20, 2018, 02:58:53 PM
I bought a lot of crypto with cash, I don't understand the use of this topic.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much have you lost during this bloodbath? on: March 19, 2018, 01:46:00 PM
I wonder how much people have lost money during this bloodbath which never seems to end. Maybe it will continue until the overall market cap is under 100 billion.

I bought Ethereum for 5000 euro in January when the price was 770 euros, and then for another 10 000 euro when the price was something like 900€. I also bought few Litecoins as well. From original 15 000 euro I have only 5000 left now, so i've lost almost 70% for now. I haven't sold anything yet.

ETH supposed to be one of the most stable coins but I really have no idea what I should do anymore. Actually I don't even care anymore if the price of 1 ETH goes to zero and I lose that remaining 5k because I have already lost so freaking much. I even had to put my house on a rent and move back to my parents for the next 1.5 years to recover from these losses if the price does not rise again.

Sorry for opening up but I had to share my story so I can feel a bit better..

Yes, I know exactly how you feel, in just a month I lost 40% of my portfolio. It is so weird, I traded stocks before and never felt so big portfolio loss.

Good thing I left some money for cases of big discounts on nice coins so I bought more BTC at 8050$. I decided to start a small trend for myself.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin legal??? on: March 19, 2018, 10:01:31 AM
Quote
is bitcoin legal???

To know for sure, go to the police and tell them you own some bitcoin. If it is illegal they will put charges and if it is not the won't. This way you will know 100% if it legal or not in your region.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on Redfolio on: March 19, 2018, 08:45:44 AM
At first, let me ask you, what are your plans when you enter this market a month ago? If you are trading stock market in past, you should have atleast some plan in mind before purchasing those coins. Do you have any exit plan or any price point where you'll be cutting your loses?

Those questions are very important ones especially now. You don't want to be affected by your emotions if you want to make a wise decision in this kind of market that we are having right now. You have some good coins out there (some of them are included in the top 10 markecap) and should be a good buy if only we are in a different trend of this market cycle. What's happening right now is inevitable as we are experiencing correction from the last bull run that we had. Together with the market makers wanting to enter at a much lower price, you shouldn't be surprised that we are having blood bath today.

If you have any trading plans, stick to it. And if you don't have any, I think it is best to cashout whatever's left in your portfolio and never come back again in cryptosphere. I'm not scaring you or making some FUD here. It is the truth and you should know it by now. This market is so harsh for the uninitiated ones.  Undecided

Thank you for your detailed insight, I appreciate it a lot! Yes, I have a plan, and it doesn't include total liquidation of crypto coins. I specifically purchased different currencies to diversify as much as I can, as I did in past with stocks. I never experienced such a big downtrend in stocks, usually some goes down, some other goes up and I was fine most of the time, what was important was the entry price in the market, having a good entry point usually brought me good profits. Here it is different, if it goes down they all go down.

Outside crypto world, a correction is everything <40% Fibonacci in value decrease, so what we see now BTC going from 20.000$ to 8000$ is a 250% decrease! This is not a correction, in my opinion, this is a crash and where is the bottom I don't know.

That's my dilemma - I don't want to exit crypto world at the same time I want to have profit, I can afford to lose this investment, but that would be a shame for me.

I understand that the crypto currency market is unpredictable, but still, when the price of our old man falls, the best time is to buy tokens, and not sell them. You need to sell tokens when the currency rises.

Yes, good thing I left some money to buy more in case of decrease, however it is painful to see the portfolio decreasing day by day.

I greet you, members of this forum. I closed most of the orders I had on stock market and purchased crypto a month ago. Right now I am down 40%, I don't remember having such a big loss on any investment I had before (portfolio speaking).

Usually, my stop losses come in before seeing such pictures. Should I close positions and reenter later or should I hold? I really don't know how to handle this crypto investment.

I purchased BTC, BCH, ETH, NEO, XMR, BTX, ARK and KMD.
Almost all of your portfolio is a good coin, I think you just had a bad entry just like in stocks. better wait for  green market. I believe you can recover your losses soon because the bear is tired already and the bull is ready to make his move.

My entry was nice in my opinion, as BTC broke above 10500$ with good volumes, giving a strong buy signal. Now I see that was a bull trap.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it the end for cryptocurrency?everything is red! on: March 18, 2018, 03:19:14 PM
Too big words, "the end of cryptocurrency", on the contrary I think it is really the beginning.

The reason for this downtrend is to discard the pure speculators, undocumented miners and traders, weak hands must go fry burgers not get rich easily.

I regret I bought a month ago, now I would have bought 40%+ more coins.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum under $400 will be a good buy or ? on: March 18, 2018, 03:11:04 PM
I bought it at 800$ so 400$ is a lot better.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto dipping on: March 18, 2018, 12:58:50 PM
I thought I got a good position purchasing BTC at 10.000$  ... How wrong I was, not to speak about the rest of the coins, buying them after -120% in value, thinking they will go up.

17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on Redfolio on: March 18, 2018, 12:49:08 PM
Sell and buy latter. It is as simple as that, you canīt afford to stay in the market in days like today, it is much better to be practical and understand your own mistakes.

Sell all, sell half, sell a bit? Are you in FIAT only now?

Almost all of us here in the crypto currency world is experiencing now - Negative Portfolio. I think we just hold or buy more. I'm sure that what's happening now is just the result of the fud that people are spreading so that the noobs in this game are still selling their holds.

Just weeks from now might hold back the vitality of the market and may take over a trillion market cap of crypto next month.

I sure hope crypto market will go to a trillion market cap! I need to analyze the charts and decide should I sell half, sell all, buy a bit or buy a lot more. Still don't know what to do.

You have to learn how earn on downtrend markets I think.
It's amazing opportunity to make money on a bearish markets

Teach me master!

I don't think a cut loss is a good option for this moment. I see your investment is good coins.
If you want to hold, hold it. Especially KMD (Komodo). It has a bright future.

Can you give a bit more details on why especially KMD has a bright future? I mean I believe all the coins from my list should have a bright future, how KMD is better?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on Redfolio on: March 18, 2018, 12:16:57 PM
to begin with, Cryptocurrencies have never seen a drop like this.

many people are lying. Some because they are developpers of coins and want you to keep the coin to hold as much value as possible. Some because they are paid by developpers. Some because they want you to buy coins so that they can sell with the most profit o return money possible. Bulls will want you to buy more and hold more. Bears will tell you to sell if they havent got coins, and hold and buy if they already bought them, so that price goes up and they sell with little profit. Then, another time will tell you to sell to drop another time the price.

No matter how hard this guys lie. You can do your own research. never ever have cryptocurrencies gone through what is happening right now. The major deeps in the past where because of technological issues, hacking, very low quality projects, or massive sells due to massive profit.

Nowadays the problem we have is that GOVERMENTS AND BANKS want crypto to disappear. Why? because as banks get less money to lend, goverments get less money and debt bought by them. They need each other. Banks are moving the strings behind the scene , forcing goverments to crash cryptos.

I think very few people here will tell you what i'm telling you, because most of the people here are extremist radicals cryptocurrency fighters, that will tell whatever fucked up reason they can think of so that you don't think on your own benefit.

Bare this in mind: technical analysis says this scenario is the worst ever lived by crypto. Then consider all the bad news appeared, and the huge negative ones that are coming from G-20.

Now, my advice? i know the market will not recover in probably a year. i'm not talking about full recover. i'm talking about stable market. If you don't need that money, you can play a risky game and wish all will go well. my best advice, considering all, is to sell and do it fast.

A great comment, indeed, unique, not like the rest mates here usually write. I considered (ridiculous right?)myself a skillful trader, analyzed charts and purchased coins after BTC broke above 10.000$, "ending" the 3+ months trend, looking at it like at a strong buy signal. Anyway, I was wrong.

Just hodl tight yours & dont sell it if it not needed. I had same condition on my portfolio too, so in this dip like this the only thing that I do is only hold mine & off course hope it will be recover soon. Im still believe in cryptocurrency, since the trading volume are still huge, & everything related to it are still alive.

And how do you handle big losses in portfolio? Purchase more? Isn't going against the trend always dangerous?

I think that now it makes no sense to sell, the more so you have good assets and I think that you will still make a big profit.

I will take in consideration your insight, thank you Billy.

Did you buy for speculating or for the long-term investment, if you let your emotions get by this DIP, you are not in the right market. The crypto market is like that with an attack from every angle, FUD and price move with the emotions.

Crypto is here to stay, you lost nothing until you sell!

True that, you lost nothing until you sell. I am sorry if my first post sounds like it is emotional, it is not(maybe just a bit Cheesy ).  Speculating or long-term? Both!
