Guys, remember to put a high speed fan on the back of your case where the GPUs are facing so it DRAWS THE HOT AIR __OUT__ of the GPUs, that should drop you good 5-10c at least.

Ok then, good to know it's not me.
Gonna stick to bitcoins.lc for now, cheers.

Hey folks,

Been mining fine with no problems for few days with that setup and then suddenly
it showed connection problems and I get this:

It's quite interesting that out of 7 workers, the deepbit pay per share one is working fine ( the prop ones don't ) and the bitcoins.lc one as well ??
Passes and logins were definitely fine since they worked before, any ideas ?

Thanks in advance,

Phoenix

Can you give me an actual spec of the 320gbp model? Is there any warranty on those rigs?
And I don't mean something like 1gb ram, 500w psu and 5850 1gb. An actual make and model of each part used, I think people would like to know what they're paying for.
Who knows if it looks good I might buy a few.

Wooden case without proper grounding might screw up your parts.
It will also run more hot in non ventilated case.
Also I was wondering, what PSUs do u use in those builds?
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if possession of bitcoins or bitcoin software is outlawed? on: June 08, 2011, 03:31:06 PM
The software itself is not illegal, it's the improper use of it that's against the law.

It's like owning a fast car is legal, but driving it at 200mph through city is a different story right?
Being a locksmith doesn't automatically make you a thief.
7  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "Connecting" need help :/ on: June 07, 2011, 08:51:29 PM
OK, adding the device bit to slush pools seems to got it working and as website updated the estimated reward looks like it's all fine.
On the other hand it still doesn't connect to the other one, I'll stick to this one for now I guess. Thanks all for help !

https://www.bitcoins.lc/
and tried the slush pool that was in config already as well.

Have the correct port numbers and for the bitcoins.lc I've put all info as on their website and the username and pass that they gave me in my acc config.

I bet it's something silly that we're missing ...
10  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "Connecting" need help :/ on: June 07, 2011, 08:29:14 PM
All firewalls switched off and I can ping bitcoin.lc and also 81.200.64.50 just fine no problems.

PS. also running it as administrator on win7.
11  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "Connecting" need help :/ on: June 07, 2011, 08:22:04 PM
OK so once again, what do I need to run in which order for pooled mining (NOT solo) ?
12  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: "Connecting" need help :/ on: June 07, 2011, 08:13:24 PM
Nope I finished that already, do I need to have the official client running at the same time as the other one tho ? If yes does it have to be with the -server bit for pooled mining or just normal?
13  Bitcoin / Mining / "Connecting" need help :/ on: June 07, 2011, 08:09:58 PM
I'm using the GUI miner and I'm sure everything is setup correctly, however, when I start it up it says " Starting " and soon after that it just goes to "Connecting" and stays there forever. I'm sure the password/login is correct unless I'm missing something? I can connect with the official bitcoin client and when I push there 'generate bitcoins' it works fine but this just says connecting forever and doesn't do anything.

Any ideas please?

Sorry if this was covered already but I couldn't find any info on it other than somebody forgetting the dot between username for login.

I tried slush pool and bitcoin.lc but both just hang on 'connecting'.
