1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the better Alt: XLM or XPR? on: January 22, 2022, 07:07:16 PM
I just compared the 2 to BTC looking at the last 6 months.

https://exwhere.com/compare/btc-xpr-xlm/jul-21-2021-to-jan-21-2022

Seems like XPR is the on growing relative to XLM.

I believe most Altcoins have a tendency to follow.

BTC is the leader the rest follow...

Just compared BTC to a few other cons the last 3 months.

The % drops are pretty close for all these coins selected...

3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin mining stratum log output. on: March 26, 2020, 05:35:58 PM

Hi Dave thanks for answering. Yes I would like the found block = true. The log output would be good to get the initial job id request and then section with all data of found block = true.

regards

Yeah, that's going to be tough to find.
You are going to need someone who:
1) Found a block
2) Is saving logs. (most big ASICs don't)
3) On this forum and saw this post.

Does it have to be BTC? Don't know what you are looking for but there are probably enough alt coins with low enough difficulty to get what you are looking for mining with a CPU. You can see if what you are working on does what you want, and then while you have proof of concept keep looking for a BTC log.

-Dave

Ideally yes. but if Asics dont have suck logs I am pooched.

Ok lets close this for now. If anyone happens to get a source then please feel free to emial. Thanks again for your assistance!.

I was wondering I am looking a development idea and I needed a stratum log of any miner who got a true job on any pool for reference.

You can anonymize the BTC address of the user I just need all other stratum info on how merkleroot, blockheader etc is communicated pool and miner.

It s for a job approved by pool and set as true.

Just a snippet of a log will do need a huge multi hour output.

Help most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

A bit confused on what you are looking for.
When you say a "true job" are you looking for a real request or a "found block = true"
Also do you want a snippet (which I interpret as a few lines / pages) or a multi hour output.
That might just be a typo on your part, but want to be sure.

-Dave

Hi I am trying to dev a miner and wondered if anyone had any tips.

I found a ref for keccak;

I have used what i could get data on for my ptarget calculation but get a large percentage of errors.

ptarget = int(0x00ffff * 2** (8*(0x1e - 3)) / mining_set_difficulty_value)

does anyone have any ideas if my calculation is correct and if not any tips most appreciated!

thanks in advance.

Hello!

I installed the radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-19.7.1-minimalsetup-190708_web driver on the new farm

Then I got this ...

I have
PhoenixMiner v. 4.2 c
Windows 10.0.18362.175 v. 1903 June 2019 x64
Sapphire RX 470 Nitro + 4Gb (Elpida)

I installed the same drivers but another farm (Windows 10.14393.1066 Pro v. 1607), got this error:

How is it treated?

So 2 things:

the first message is typical as PM when teh amd driver changes will often still work but just not verified and optimized to latest AMD driver. that should be fine.

the second message

I dont know your start command line but make sure you add

-acm

this is for any amd based gpus to then be set optimally.

last message I think the server is either using Nvida gpus only or some other type.

Can you list gpus in teh last windows setup?

Your miner is shocking, it is brilliant for power & speed but a couple of times I have stopped the miner due to mining on your address for over 3 hours, everyone do NOT use this miner it mines for the DEV for hours at a time. total sham.

if you are using command line mode of this miner make sure you remove epools.txt and dpools.txt from folder
due to crashes, it turns to link inside of those and mine devfee's instead of yours...

There are 2 things and sorry if they were already mentioned...

How big is the pagefile setup? I would try and get it to around 10-16 gig in your case.

Also I don`t see which coin you have defined perhaps add that as well

-coin eth

for example
35GB page file, -coin ETH does not help

What if you try these:

PhoenixMiner.exe  -pool stratum+tcp://eth-ru2.dwarfpool.com:8008 -pool2 stratum+tcp://eth-ru.dwarfpool.com:8008 -wal 0x5d80ff4a5ce4a9983917b145f88293b09ca7a1c4/Baimer -pass x

Then if it works all the extra settings:

PhoenixMiner.exe  -pool stratum+tcp://eth-ru2.dwarfpool.com:8008 -pool2 stratum+tcp://eth-ru.dwarfpool.com:8008 -wal 0x5d80ff4a5ce4a9983917b145f88293b09ca7a1c4/Baimer -pass x -proto 2 -cdm 1 -powlim 50 -cclock 1175 -cvddc 866 -mclock 2185 -mvddc 860 -mi 14 -wdog 1 -rmode 2 -clgreen 1 -tstop 80 -tstart 50 -clkernel 3 -nvdo 1 -nvkernel 3 -nvf 3 -minRigSpeed 155

Hell MPH support I am working on dev of a miner software. I am having issues when connecting to MHP.

I was hoping log files of my access could assist me in my QA to fix my connection issues. I can connect and able to submit shares but I get constant invalid shares, low difficulty shres, or invalid job id.

If i were to PM my account info would I be able to get some logs output of my activities?

Any help Appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
I have issues with PhoenixMiner 4.2c version(Win10 x64 1703). Problem is; Phoenix giving error message "software stopped working" after a few hours. Sometimes not stopping but not giving share too, going to offline. What is the problem?

More info needed.

What is start script?

add -v 3 to it so we get more verbose messaging.  Hardware how much ram? how much pagefile memory? What are you running AMd or nvidia?

4GBRam, Amd RX580(6) Nvidia P104-100(6),  Pagefile memory 36000MB

As you only have 4 gigs ram and are using 12 GPUs I would recommend double up to 72000MB pagefile. Also add the -v 3 to startup script and see what happens.

Hi,

I keep getting multiple instances of Phoenixminer running/restarting at the same time immediately after crashes... with the error message being "Waiting 15 s for previous instance to close".

How do I keep this from happening? Please help.

Thank you.

what drivers are you using? amd or nvidia cards? what os? what is your start up command line?

Either 1060 or 1070 running on Nvidia 391.35 on either Win 7 or Win 10.
Command line parameters:
-rmode 1 -wdog 1 -cdm 2

And oh, I'm using Awesome Miner for my rigs.

I've tried -gswin 0 and -wdog 0 to no avail. Any suggestions are very much welcome, thank you again.

Ideally the whole command line would help. You should add -v 3 to it to show more verbose messages. Never used Awesome miner so cant speak to it.

Do you have lots of page file swap space? Can you try running card not overclocked?

The latter error is not related to crash, the first is, either lower your memory clock or bump voltage.
Memory is running at stock clock. No OC only underclock,
I confirm second error is when gpu is recovering. After 40min running at 1373Mhz and 800mv, only 90Mh one the pool, miner report 142,87..

Anyone else running into problem with multiple Radeon vii's?  When I have 1 card running it seems to be working fine but as soon as I go to 2+ GPU1 hash rate is super low or non existent

I noticed when GPU1 wanted to start up the DAG was taking a considerable amount of time to load.  5+ times as long as GPU2.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or similar issues?

Well I've received my second Radeon VII, depending of voltage, card will just not mine at all.
- 1150Mhz 750mv (1 of 2 working)
- 1250Mhz 760mv (2 of 2 working)

are running linux or windows?

what motherboard are you running? processor?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 4.2c: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: April 28, 2019, 04:22:05 PM
Did you try other miners ? may be Claymore?

I've never had luck with running Claymore on a Windows machine always had stability issues.

What I don't understand is when it's a single card the hash is fine but when 2 cards are installed or more GPU1 is 0 or a fraction.

there are a couple areas to check...

are you using any riser?
how big is your power supply?
you state you have alot of ram, how big is pagefile?
the motherboard is it setup so the pci speed is the same for both cards? is there enough pci lanes in case one is 16 vs the other
try adjusting for slower dag load
-lidag <n> Slow down DAG generation to avoid crashes when swiching DAG epochs
(0-3, default: 0 - fastest, 3 - slowest). This option works only on AMD cards

btw are you using discord overlay at all?

tnX for great Miner, however, i got an issue with it sometimes it stuck on devfee mining for hours till i notice and restart the miner,
i don't mind the devfee its developer time and passion but stucking on devfee mining for long time i'm barely above the Electricity bill and maintenance fee...
so if there is anything i can do to make it normal i appreciate any insights

tnX in advance

here is the latest over 15 minutes none stop devfee mining!
