DAmn, I still have hundreds of thousands of coins stuck in this pool and they are shutting it down without me getting any of my doge, ruby, mint etc

This really has red flags popping up for me  with every post from the dev.
They aren't scared because they are anonymous and they obviously don't see a future for their coin.

If they were serious wouldn't they have approached Reddit before announcing or, at the very least wouldn't they be trying to work something out with Reddit now so there coin is more likely to succeed?

Thanks.
I only found one block in hours at 2 to 2.5GHash/s.  Sad

They pick someone as "promotion guy" who either doesn't use English as a first language or has a very poor grasp of spelling and grammar?  Sounds a bit suspect when you have a team of Stanford graduates and high profile investors.

Still not one block found.  I know I'm only using a couple of GHash but I thought I' mine something.
Tell a lie, it was bound to happen as soon as I typed this I found one block!  Cheesy
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LEAF] LEAFCOIN - Early version foundation launched on: March 07, 2014, 12:19:04 PM

What i will do for leafcoin:

I'll send 10 people, each one a jar of fresh honey in summer (this will be fresh as you can get, from honeycomb to a jar it will be shipped immediately ) , with leafcoin logo on it. And i'll send it to users inside EU. Outside EU probably will be problem with customs.
This is superb quality honey, from alps, no intensive farming around, produced by bee: apis melifera carnica. And our honey on local market is sold out, every year. But primarily we are reproducing and selling bee queens.

Which users will get it i don't know, probably something they did for leafcoin.
When time comes (around mid June), i will talk with mcg about this.

What is the connection with leafcoin (forest, leafs etc..) with honey? Honeydew honey

That's good of you.

Your bees make honeydew from aphids that exude liquid after feeding on tree sap?  I love honeydew but it isn't available where I live in the UK.  I have seen people selling it quite cheaply from mainland Europe before but they usually want you to buy a larger amount.

Working hard to have exchanges and retailers peg it to the Euro on launch! lol
I think I just saw a airborne porcine float by my window as well.

You'll never find a retailer stupid enough to do this and if you do watch them run out of stock and then go bankrupt in the blink of an eye.

Maybe, just maybe if you could somehow make it expensive enough to mine and somehow vary depending on the cost of electricity in the miners country it would at least be tied to something and people might be more inclined not to sell at a huge loss.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ★★ Rubycoin ★★ A precious gem for the digital age on: February 24, 2014, 09:46:12 PM
I can't believe people are actually mining this!
Start, stop, 8pm, 15 minutes, 3 hours then around half an hour. 1 coin transaction fee.  Pools getting a head start.  Large Premine suddenly being mentioned.  Block payout changes.  You name it this has had it when it comes to poor practice.
I forsee it being dumped bigtime once an exchange takes it on but at least you'll make the dev some easy money.

Never mind you'll maybe make enough per 1MH/s per day to cover the transaction fee in a pool. :0
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 18, 2014, 07:34:55 PM

I'm starting to wonder myself as I was getting less on updamoon but not half the amount but I have tried one of their other coin pools today and split my mining between that and another smaller pool with the same coin and have mined a lot less on their pool.  Around half the amount, just adding up quickly in my head.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 18, 2014, 12:48:25 PM
COR you said "Your own rewards can be *calculated* from the network hash rate and your own hashing rate, that is the fraction of each block that
you should get, for example if your hash rate is 1/50,000 of network hash rate then you should get an average 2 coins for every block, so 4 coins per minute. (100k coins reward and 1/2 minute block time).
"

Isn't that a bit of an over simplification as some blocks are found quickly while others take a long time so the no. of pool shares and pool shares taken into account (depending how the pool works out how many shares to use) varies quite a lot.
It could take a while for any variance to average out.

I was mining on bee updapool and I'm finished there.
I got 11000 kh/s and please you make calculations instead of me
here is printscreen of wallet
Pool calculations on low difficulty I made should be few millions bee's and I got wallet ballance: 1175225.65007471 BEE
Please make your own calculations compared to other pool's
All this is made for aroung 35 hours of mining. 15x 7970 730 mh/s each

I can confirm I got much more income at steadymining

WTF. udamoon should be banned

If updamoon can 100% be confirmed as cheating, we will start a thread in the main section and put the word out his pool is scamming, that will get all this other pools taken out too. Could be a big problem for him.

So everyone so far is concluding updamoon is somehow scamming with his pool?  Seems everyone is saying so?

We shouldn't just move pools and forget about this.... think how much he is scamming on all his other pools?

Can the block explorer be used to prove this from their wallet address?

Look, I'll give every information available from wallet and transaction history. There are all transactions made from only his pool (except that 100 in and out BEE's for wallet testing purposes)

Lets put it this way, 1000kh/s should net you 200K, if you are consistently below that, mathematically speaking it means that you will need to have days when you are over the 200k limit, and so far no one has had those days on updamoon, even though the volume of miners is much larger there, and the take should be a lot closer to the calculated amount.

I know its been 2 days, but the dude needs to be booted before he kills the currency for the rest of us.  With that sort of Mh's rate he probably is sitting on the biggest pile.

I know the developers want to be fair, but... they need to act quick on this and the suspicion of cheating should be enough.  The math isn't working out for anyone.

EDIT:  If this is done quickly, it will speak volumes for the fairness of this coin.   We need to boot cheaters, or put them on suspension the  faster that is done the bigger chance this coin will have.

A 1000khs should net you 200k in what time frame?  I certainly won't get anywhere near that and will be lucky to get 100k at 750khs extrapolating my current steadyminer payments.  More like 90k so if I was mining with 1000kh/s I'd get 120k from 24 hours with steadyminer.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 17, 2014, 04:22:33 PM
guys steadyminning better or updamoon for beecoin mining ?

Wel everyone is saying steady and it's a good idea to spread the hash rate out as updamoon has a lot of the network hash rate already.

I've been on steady for 5 hours now and have earned just a little more than I did at updamoon in 6 and 1/2 hours but the samples are a bit too small to tell and it's certainly not as if I was getting half the amount or anything as others seem to be saying.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 17, 2014, 12:49:05 PM
Just doing a rough calc in my head it looks like you must be around half the aboves quoted 7 per kh/s per hour?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 17, 2014, 11:33:35 AM

I have only mined for just under 7 hours, 6 and a half since a block found iirc on updamoon and have only made around 2/3 of your 7 per k per hour.

Perhaps it's a little low but then again it's too short a mining time to tell for sure as well, i'd think?

The pool hashrate has dropped to around 200MH/s and the network has increased to 560MH/s.  updamoon was still reporting 460MH/s for a little time while steady was reporting .56GH/s but they are the same now.  It's just that the network hashrate is fluctuating wildly which won't help
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEE]BeeCoin - Launched/3 EXCHANGE[Pow][Scrypt][Fair][NO PREMINE] on: February 17, 2014, 04:50:36 AM
cryptohunter are you sure the pool rate has been constant for updamoon?
Just taking the current pool rate and looking at the no. of coins found, 10, in 24hr for steadymining (16MH/s) gives 1.6Mh/s per block or 0.625 blocks per MH/s
doing the same for updamoon now 479MH/s and 316 blocks gives 0.66 blocks per MH/s

This fluctuates for both and obviously at any minute one miner dropping from the smaller pool will make a much bigger difference to figures like these.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 22, 2014, 09:35:31 PM
Have to sell some of my few coins to try and get money to pay for all the extra electric I use mining.  Getting much harder to cover the cost of mining at the prices charged for electric over here.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DOGE] [IMPORTANT]Dogecoin users You must update your wallet to version 1.4 ASAP on: January 06, 2014, 02:23:34 PM
I cant sync with 1.4. I received this message:

I got the same and then it wouldn't start because the files or folders were locked/in use but it did start after a while, looked like it synced but then decided it had another 2000 to catch up with and after syncing those it gave me the same message again.
Now it just says out of sync but never downloads anything to catch up.
