1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bit Wallet Maintenance on Bit-Z Exchange on: September 23, 2018, 04:13:31 PM
Hello Friends,

Was wondering if any of you bitcore holders had any knowledge of whats going on with the wallet maintenance/transfer suspension (both deposit and withdrawal) over at the Bit-Z Exchange. This is the information I am currently working with:

Article posted on support page on July 20th regarding the maintenance of the Bitcore wallet and suspension of all BTX transfers: https://support.bit-z.pro/hc/en-us/articles/360007203274-BTX-Wallet-Maintenance

Then 19 days ago on September 4th, 2018 there was another article posted on the support page announcing that BTX transfers were now open: https://support.bit-z.pro/hc/en-us/articles/360008895673-Transfer-BTX-Open

Despite the article saying that BTX transfers are open, under my account balances on the exchange it stills says that the BTX wallet is under maintenance and that withdrawals are suspended. Anyone else having issues?

Cheers,

Your fellow Cryptofan

Thank you!

Do you think those plug-ins would be difficult to set up? or require a lot of maintenance? I have 0 coding experience so that's a bit of an issue lol!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alerts on large token balance holder accounts on: July 21, 2018, 07:04:52 PM
Hey everyone!

I'm wondering if it's possible to set up alerts/notifications on ethereum accounts (through ethplorer). For example, say I have some money invested in a ERC-20 token that has a pretty limited token-holder base meaning there are some very large individual token holders. It could be helpful if I could set an alert for whenever this token is moved from these accounts (or potentially more moved in). Another example could be putting an alert on a exchange account for when a low volume token deposit comes in (purpose being if a large balance of this token is deposited, it could be a signal that someone is looking to unload). The reason I'm wondering is because if this is possible, and I'm not doing this, I'm really doing myself a disservice as others probably are. Another scenario would be to put alerts on the ETH account attached to ICO company accounts. You get alerted when balances are moved, which could give you some insight into the company.

Many thanks!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Scenario: Receiving ICO tokens and living in prohibited country on: June 19, 2018, 09:14:57 PM
Looking for some info on this scenario. We all know that the US and China and some other countries are often prohibited from investing in ICO's. My question is regarding a scenario where you purchase tokens from an ICO during a time when your country is NOT on the prohibited list, you receive the tokens, and then shortly afterwards are contacted by the ICO company notifying you that your country is on the prohibited list. You passed KYC and this company disbursed you tokens. They want the tokens to be sent back for a refund. You're thinking that they are trying to cover their asses legally as it is illegal to have sold you these tokens. I'm just curious whether anyone could provide any insight into this situation. It's strange because you already HAVE the tokens, and they have accepted your money in exchange for them. They processed this transaction. Could they force you to return these? I've never been on the other side of this transaction (trying to run a company and avoiding legal trouble) and hoping for some context.

Are they going to issue the refund regardless of whether the tokens are sent back to protect themselves?
Who has leverage in this situation? (ICO vs. participant)

All input is welcome!

In the video on the website you guys have bitcoin on the app but it the white paper bitcoin is not listed as a mineable currency...I find this a little confusing. How do the fees work? Are they subtracted from the mining value generated? How do the fees/costs work when someone is using the data for some of the other stated purposes?
