Chasing losses is a common behavior where individuals try to win back money they have lost by increasing their bets. This behavior is driven by the belief that a subsequent win will offset previous losses. There are several emotional reasons that drives it. I think the most important is Escapism.
This means that the pursuit of recovering losses, can serve as a form of escapism from the negative emotions associated with financial setbacks. It is a feeling that you escape or distract yourself from real-time problems.
Next time you will be sick, you will feel again the need to gamble, so don't do it!
Or do it but take it easy and set your limits beforehand...

It's so funny that so many memecoins are created with the Use of Elon Musk. Eloncoin, Dogelon, elonmars and I don't know how many more are created... These creators believe that they are going to enjoy some fame given to them by Elon Musk if they use his name ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) This shitcoin is going to enjoy a pump and dump as any of the above mentioned. All memecoins go up in the beginning when people think they are going to earn easy money and suddenly when the price drops everyone realizes that the coin was a "shitcoin".

Viewing it as a long-term investment rather than a quick win is crucial. The analogy with traditional investments makes a lot of sense, emphasizing the need for discipline and a strategic mindset. Setting long-term goals, budgeting wisely, and distinguishing Bitcoin from riskier altcoins are all solid pieces of advice.

Unfortunately, this forum is not "newbie-friendly".
I am very sorry to say that, but High ranked members usually mock or disrespect if a newbie raises an opinion. This way new members get discouraged to participate, and of course this means that knowledge sharing might be less as well...

Hey forum family!
I am coming to this post for all new members joining here. I want to share my advice based on what I have seen in the forum till now.
Everyone who starts an account to Bitcointalk feels the urge to post like crazy in order to stay relevant.
But here's the real deal: Quality over Quantity wins every time!
Think about it - a solid, well-thought post speaks louder than a hundred "meh" ones. Here's why it matters:
Real Talk, Real Connections: When you drop a gem of a post, you're not just talking, you're connecting. Dive deep into discussions that light your fire - you'll build bonds that matter. You, the Expert: Quality posts show you know your stuff. Whether it's advice or insights, be the go-to person. People notice, trust me! Not Just Noise: Ever scroll through a thread and see a sea of "lol" and "cool"? Let's not add to the noise. Make every post count, cut through the clutter. Respect the Scroll: We're all busy, right? A quality post respects people's time. Keep it meaningful, and folks will stick around.
In the end, this forum is like a social community so craft something awesome, something that adds value!

... I want to know the possible ways to avoid scammer and phishing sites ...
If you manage to avoid scammers and phishing sites then you have nothing to be afraid of. In order to avoid scammers, you should bear in mind that there is no free money in crypto. And of course, there is no easy money. If someone DMs you and tells that you will be able to earn an amount of money easily then this is 100% scam. Regarding the phishing sites, personally what i do, is before clicking any LINK, I go to google and search for the name of the thing I am looking for. If it is regarding a project , COIN, TOKEN etc. the best thing to do is to visit Coinmarketcap.com and navigate to the website of the project from there. This way you are going to be sure you are navigating to the official website and not to any phishing site.

Money does buy happiness not in a direct but in an indirect way. If you have money you can life times and have experiences that you couldn't live without money.
Thus, every guy needs money to be happy.
My huge concern is we work to live or we live to work??
But maybe this is to be shared in another post and not here.
