In order to provide incentives for the users to pledge their storage and networking capacity, a market layer is added to Nexusless which allows keeping track of the network activity without a central intermediary and securely pay every participant for their services. This is made possible by using a public blockchain with a consensus protocol based on proofs of retrievability and delivery. The necessary transaction speed and frequency is ensured by a micropayment network functioning on top of the blockchain, similar to the Lightning.

A good CND's job is well done if the end users don't even notice it exists - in other words, people who browse the Web and stream content should be able to do so without lags and security concerns. The incentivized self-policing set-up of the Nexusless network will also ensure that malicious or offensive content gets removed as quickly as possible.
