I did the withdraw early in December to try and avoid the xmas rush and the dowintime they posted but seems to have made no difference. The method was a transfer directly into a bank account.
A few days delay I can understand but when it's going over a month then I start to think that things are a little fishy.

I've been mining bitcoins and then trading them on mtgox for while but slowly gave up on it. Finally last month I decided that since I wasn't doing anything with it, I would cash out, especially since xmas was approaching. I sold my coins and withdraw the cash to a bank account, having to do it twice over 2 days to avoid their daily limits.
Well, now it's a month later and still no sign of my money. I just get messages from them saying that my transfer is being processed and they'll keep my informed. Sorry, but a month is way too long to process a transfer so I can only assume they've just taken the money and stringing along bullshit. Can anyone else confirm that this is what they are now doing?

Is there a way to set mining start up when the screen saver or monitor power down activates? I'm using Guiminer atm on a gaming rig, and all to often forget to start the mining up after I finish gaming.

I have this MB and have 4x 6950's with 1 connected to the 1x via a riser.

The parts link don't seem to show prices at first glance. Could you list them in the page to give a ballpark figure of what it would look like to put this together?
Would love to make one myself, but don't have any of the tools 8(

Is this round getting to be too long for anyone else's liking? Also, any chance you could have bitcoins earned during the week, with a set day, say reset every sat midnight? Seems that day to day can vary a lot, but would be nice to see how much it averages out to over a week. At least for us non hoppers

I work a desk job. If I bought the best video card that fit in the thing (it's a decent system, I design tools with Autocad Inventor 3D modeling software) then mined all night while I wasn't there, no power costs. THEN, surely it is very profitable... Except that you'd be stealing the electricity from your employer, not to mention that they would have claim to the bitcoins for providing the system, even if you provided the video card, assuming that your employer / network admin is ok with you making hardware changes. If none of those things bother you and you're confident of getting away with doing it, then easy profit for you!

You need to short the pciex1 card detection pins.
You mean like I already said I tried doing without success? Admittedly I should have used the term Short instead of Bridge to avoid confusion with crossfire, but yes, I've tried it without success. I also admit I may not have shorted correctly, but seems to be quite simple and hard to not get right.

I can't seem to get a card working on a pcie 1x slot with a riser cable at all. I've tried bridging and non bridging and nothing. I got it working fine on one computer that didn't need any bridging at all, so I'm confident I've cut the rise cables properly and connected it all up, but no joy.

My cards never came with an 8 pin power adapter, and local store didn't sell them.
I tried powering it with 2 pin connections, instead of the required 6 pin + 8 pin, and seems to work fine.

Just what Bitcoin needs is more illegal businesses to support it and raise it's profile!

I've already setup one computer onto a 1x slot with a 1x to 1x riser cable and it works fine, running a 6950 off it. It did not need any bridging to be done on the motherboard 1x slot.
Trying to do to the same on another computers with 5850's, but it's not working. If i try to bridge as I've seen in a few guides, then the computer won't boot up. If I leave the bridge off, but the card connected, the system boots up, but doesn't detect the 2nd GPU, I've tried with both dummy plug and monitor plugged in.
Am I missing something or does anyone have any suggestions?

don't forget to factor in your PSU efficiency, and try to leave a little headroom on top if you can.

4 x 6950 on an i5 2500k = 820 from the wall
|
|
|
my i5 2500k with 4x 6950 1gb pulls 820watts from the wall, using a 1200watt psu.
so guessing a good quality 750watt should be fine for you.

bit expensive for my liking, though I guess someone people might pay lots for something set up ready to do.

I had 3x 6950s working fine with Afterburning. Just put in a 4th today, running off a 1x pcie slot, and I now get this message. Tried reinstalling, clean installing, etc etc, but message continues to pop up.
Really annoying, since while I can still overclock my core, I can't seem to underclock my memory, so things are running hotter then they should.

If we have USD on tradehill, can we just withdraw that as AUD into out AU banks?

Or the bonus you'll send for signing up to B7

bitcoin gets it's value from being open source and transparent. Having a closed system that uses sometime similar loses a lot of that value.
