I built a site that lets you bet on your bitcoin predictions. We use price data from bitstamp and when it's time for your prediction to be concluded we pull this data, determine winners & pay out accordingly.

We've just added support for Bitstamp! We're looking to add support for multiple currencies and exchanges in the near future.
5  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: BetYourBits.com is a scam on: February 13, 2014, 11:30:26 PM
Is there an update on this? I notice that the site still has a superbowl coinflip prediction. The superbowl is over.

7  Economy / Gambling / • PredictBits.com • Create bitcoin predictions instantly! on: February 04, 2014, 06:48:22 PM

https://predictbits.com

My service lets you create your own bitcoin price predictions and bet on these predictions instantly. At predictbits, you won't need to wait for a moderator to approve your prediction. You also won't need to wait for them to approve your payout. All of this is done programmatically. Our IRC bot, widget and API allows site owners, channel operators and developers to advertise for a referral commission. I hope this will bring action to a lot of crazy predictions and earn you some bitcoin.

I made predictbits after seeing speculators spam their predictions on IRC and reddit. I wanted to give all of these people a place to put their money where their mouth is and eliminate the nonsense spam on forums that I frequent. After sharing my idea with on google hangouts with people from #bitcoinmarkets, I decided to go forward with predictbits. I hope you guys will find this useful when you want to silence a troll or bet against a friend.

@predictbits

How it works:
  • Make predictions about whether the price will be higher or lower than your target at a certain time in the future.
  • Bet bitcoin on that prediction
  • Anyone else can call your bet. whoever is right takes the bitcoin. We determine winners with Bitstamp's ticker
  • 10% of losers bets goes to the site.

Things to note
  • If any of your bet uncalled, you receive that wager back
  • We pull our price data from Bitstamp
  • The time window to bet closes 2 hours before a prediction concludes
  • Payouts are sent in chronological order until no remaining bitcoin could be matched. We are not parimutuel.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-themed banner to be waved during Super Bowl XLVIII in MetLife Stadium. on: January 30, 2014, 05:56:18 AM
Do you have a sign for the Broncos? A friend of mine (real estate broker who accepts bitcoin) is vlogging his journey to the superbowl (flight, hotel, ticks, food/beer, etc.)  using only bitcoin. I'd love to have him hold up a sign and support.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is betsofbitcoin.in dead? on: January 20, 2014, 08:56:35 PM
I'm launching a site that allows anyone to create your own bitcoin price predictions instantly (no 'suggestions') and when it is time for your bet to be concluded, we pull data from mtgox, determine winners & pay out instantly less commission.

10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prophesy on: January 17, 2014, 07:24:48 AM
I'm not too sure coinbase could fail on it's own this year with the 25m from AH.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy a car now or invest and buy later? on: January 16, 2014, 07:16:18 PM
If your 2000 VW is still running strong, keep it. When it starts giving up, look for another car to get you by for a couple years <5k.

13  Economy / Gambling / Re: ApopheniaBTC - Bet and solve the challenges to win BTC. on: January 10, 2014, 05:42:34 AM
Thank you for making this site, it is really awesome!

Just a quick note, in the gambling world, the phrase: "Bet x to win y" has a very specific meaning.  The "to win" part is profit, and it doesn't include the amount you bet.

For example, if I bet 2 to win 10, that means that I would get 12 back total, if you took my initial 2.

Once again, thanks for the really cool website, just thought you might want a heads up.

I agree.

You should make it easier for non-technical people to read. I can help you with this, pm me Smiley

Great site btw, thanks!
