Remember to meet in a safe public location within close proximity to police or people who can help you in case either party attempts to dishonestly game the deal.
Might be good to do this inside a bank where money can be counted, inspected and checked for genuineness. The added advantage of doing this is that the money can be directly deposited into an account. You wouldn't like to walking around Amsterdam with close to 1 million Euros in cash, would you?
