Still no luck:

When i give the command:
"bitcoind settxfee 0.0001"

the computer give the message "true"

When i then give the command
"bitcoind sendtoaddress somebitcoinaddress 0.0001"

It send the 0.0001 btc but still with aq 0.0005 transaction fee.

Anyone got any ideas? 0.1 btc reward for the one that can help me out.

bitcoind lets you set the fee but I recall it had limits how low you could set it.

Raw lets you do it to any level. Even zero, I guess.

bitcoind settxfee 0.0001
bitcoind sendtoaddress somebitcoinaddress 0.0001

That will very likely cause a fee of 0.0001 to be used, unless you have way too many, and only, dust.

wow is it that simple, just use 2 seperate commands ?
i tried to use it all in 1 command.

ill try it out asap Smiley

raw ?

Hi everyone

i am in need for a script with which i can send 0.0001 bitcoins from the command line with a 0.0001 transaction fee.
I used to do this with bitcoind but i cant get the transaction fee lower then 0.0005.

Is there anyone who can help me out ? / maybe write a script / code a little program that can be run in a command prompt in windows?
I am willing to pay a reward for you hard work Smiley

Greetings
Roland.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how to send a small transaction fee with bitcoind ? on: November 22, 2013, 04:01:29 PM
Hmm nomatter what i try, the transaction fee stays 0.0005. I cant even find settxfee as a parameter in the help for bitcoind.
Anyone here have any experience with this? or maybe an example command line ?

bitcoind.exe -rpcpassword=xxx -paytxfee=0.001 sendtoaddress xxx 0.0001 "test" "test"
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how to send a small transaction fee with bitcoind ? on: November 21, 2013, 03:46:23 PM
ok thanks,

i send the 0.0001 amount just so that they can check if their wallet is receiving funds.
10  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / changing the transaction fee with bcoind on: November 21, 2013, 08:02:33 AM
Hi everyone,

i run a little script on my server to send some bitcoins now and then with bitcoind.
With the recent runup in the bitcoin price i wanted to change the transaction fee to 0.0001 but i cant seem to make it work.
regardless of the parameters i send to bitcoind it keeps sending a 0.0005 transaction fee.

Here the command line that i use:
bitcoind.exe" -rpcpassword=xxx -paytxfee=0.0001 sendtoaddress %address% 0.0001 "0.0001 to %email%" "0.0001 to %email%"

can anyone help me out ?

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / how to send a small transaction fee with bitcoind ? on: November 20, 2013, 06:57:51 AM
Hi everyone,

sometimes i send 0.0001 bitcoin to friends and coworkers who want to get started with bitcoin.
I use bitcoind to do that and that works fine.
For some reason however the transaction fee always stays 0.0005 even if i use the paytxfee parameter.
With the rising prices the txfee of 0.0005 is just too high, does anyone have an idea about this ?

This is the command line i use in my script:
bitcoind.exe" -rpcpassword=xxx -paytxfee=0.00001 sendtoaddress %address% 0.0001 "0.0001 to %email%" "0.0001 to %email%"

Thanks!
Roland

Thanks for starting this forum relating to our soon-to-ship products.

We do plan on opening a walk-in retail space having just signed a lease for a new space last week. We are currently in an office in Surfers Paradise, and will be moving to Bundall (5kms away) this coming week.

We will also be releasing pictures of our units, cases etc on our Blog mid week. I will update here once we do.

We are in collaboration with 2 factories in China who built our chips and are currently building our units.

Some information about myself (Andrew), Justin and the team.

Me (Andrew): I have been in the Data Mining and Cryptography industry since leaving University. Previously worked with Datamonitor and DataSystems over an 8 year period. My core skills include cryptography, programming, hardware design, and diagnostics.

Justin: Started mining and buying (hoarding) Bitcoin in 2011. Was one of the fortunate few who saw a future in the tech. Justin studied Computer Science at Melbourne University and core skills include everything Bitcoin & Altcoin, Data Mining, Programming, and Hardware design.

We have recently employed a CFO/finance guru, who is also invested in the seed round.

We have 2 dedicated sales & support staff

We guarantee delivery by December 15 2013.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us on +61 (7) 5641-2441 or via email through our website. I hope this gives more of an insight into who, where and why.

Just left a request for an interview trough the contact form on your site.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Global "Happy birthday bitcoin" Day on: October 28, 2013, 09:29:40 AM
Hi everyone,

Coming januari it will be 5 years ago that Bitcoin was born (the genesis block)

Wouldn't it be great if we would use this as an opportunity to have a global party?
We could have a "Happy birthday bitcoin" in hundreds of cities across the world to spread the word about bitcoin!.

My idea was to find some sponsors in every country/city so that we can create a free event to just have a great time and tell people about bitcoin.
We already had some great events and conferences, but they all cost a lot of money to get into and i think we need to make it more accessible.

I am currently looking (in the netherlands) to get this thing off the ground,.

So:
- if there are people in the netherlands, willing to helpout, please let me know.
- Can we make this a global thing ?

Ze moesten zo groot omdat je er dan een mooie sticker van kan maken, maar het staat uiteraard iedereen vrij om de afbeelding te verkleinen of wat dan ook. Smiley
