1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Shitty Hashrate with 290x on: January 30, 2014, 03:14:45 PM
I must admit that its a bit overwhelming, but I just put some loud music on to drown it out haha

I'll definitely be sending some doge your way once I have it running for a bit. I'm on my way to work now though, so it'll be 10 hours before I even start.

Thanks again!

Here ya go:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.dogechain.info -u user.worker -p password -I 20 -g 1 -w 512 --thread-concurrency 32765 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune 30 --gpu-fan 85 --gpu-engine 927 --gpu-memclock 1250

I checked the mining pool and it didn't mention anything about being down and it still showed that they had processing power.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / cgminer hangs on startup on: January 30, 2014, 02:57:35 AM
Hey, so I had my cgmine working for all of 15 minutes before it disconnected from the pool and now it just hangs and does nothing on start up. Does anyone know where I can look to find a solution to this?

MrMork, so that got my hash rate up. Thank you! However, it only mined for about 15 minutes before it disconnected from he pool and now cgminer hangs on startup. The GPU fans will turn up their speed but it just sits at "Starting cgminer". I tried a restart and it didn't work, I've also tried an older version of cgminer and the same thing happens. Any advice?

MrMork, is there an issue with pushing my clock that high? 50% higher than baseline seems a little dangerous.

Miz4r, I have 16 gigs.

I have no idea, I was wondering the same thing.

As for the APP SDK, I manages to install it before leaving for work but didn't have time to see if it worked. I'll update in 10 hours time.

I didn't know what that was before you mentioned it. I'm downloading it now, is there anything special I should know about it?

Here is a screenshot: http://imgur.com/RreniN9

All three cards are this type - http://products.ncix.com/detail/sapphire-r9-290x-edition-1000mhz-4gx1250mhz-512bit-pci-e-hdmi-dvi-d-dp-cf-video-card-w-bf4-f6-91870.htm

And my full .bat file is above

My GPU temp before running cgminer sits at 60 C, when I run, it jumps up to 70/75

I'm not sure what HW is.

This is a fresh install of windows, is it necessary to clean out the CPanel and if so how?

Also, thanks a lot for the help!

No change.

It lists all 3 GPUs but its like it's ignoring the command line input in the .bat file. Also, the cards are not in crossfire mode.

Awesome...thanks for all the help guys.

I'm only getting 15kH/s (yes, 15..not even 150), I'm obviously doing something wrong and was hoping for some input.

I couldn't find a 3.7.2 download for windows (seems as though the original has been taken down) so I went with 3.6.0, and here is my batch file:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://stratum1.dogechain.info:3333 -u user.worker -p muchpassword
-I 20 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 32765

The cards are even running hot with this low hash rate which has me even more confused. Any advice is welcome.

Perfect, thanks my good man! and Happy Holidays!!

I was wondering if this would have a significant impact to hash rate?
15  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: When was the first ASIC miner released? on: December 24, 2013, 05:22:49 AM
Lol, was thinking more along the lines of an actual date. Was curious to see the correlation between their release and the value of BTC.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Difficulty and payout on: December 24, 2013, 05:12:24 AM
The answer I was looking for was that there is more processing power required by the higher difficulty level and if that stays the same, it takes longer for the bounty to be paid out. But thanks for being a dick for almost no reason other than I'm new at this.

Title says it, I'm just curious.

Thank you!!

Does anyone even know the answer to this?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining difficulty on: December 23, 2013, 07:07:23 PM
I was wondering if mining difficulty goes down if a coin isn't mined for a while. I was looking at coinwarz, and some coin's difficulty graph appears to be going down over time and I thought it might be because it isn't being mined often. Am I right in thinking that, or is there another reason?
