People need to understand that dumping the price down to 1 satoshi is very beneficial to a whale. In fact it's worth the initial loss for them. They wait and put buy orders in at 1 satoshi and sell part of it at 2 satoshis. This is doubling your money, so if someone quick sold them at 1 satoshi they can put it back up to 2 satoshi's where investors would want to buy. This allows them to make a lot of profit while building up a huge stock of top coins for when they decide to pump. When they do pump they would make 5-7x their initial return because they decided to keep prices so low for so long.

Going to hold out for a bit. Will see if I can possibly offer services for topcoins or try to sell some items for topcoins. Anything offered for this coin will be great tbh.

Is anyone have withdraw(payout) issues at http://fedoracore.x64.me?Because they didn't payout me for about 1.5M coins. I mined for about 2-3 days and earn 2965518.7700223 Tip but get only 1363612.405800854 Someone with nickname tipsfedora on IRC say me that everything will be fixed, just wait. After 24 hours of waiting i receive just about 200000 and my balance at pool - zero. Update your wallet, the bug of being paid 1/5th has been fixed. Make sure you backup the wallet.dat |

I never thought it would be fun to mine coins and use them. I see a bright future with these currencies, mining and seeing your coins go up is just so awesome!

Yah cryptsy has a lot of problems but I'm sure they're working hard on fixing and improving user experience.

I'd personally hold my bitcoins/alt coins because I see a very bright future. More and more people will become aware of this and want to have at least a few bitcoins. There will always be people who look down upon these coins but at the end of the day they'll eventually suck it up and join in once it has been accepted/expanded enough.

Everyone reading this post is an early adopter. When I got into bitcoin in 2011, people were posting, "I wish I were an early adopter." Now people call me an early adopter. In 2015, people will tell you they wish they were an early adopter, just like you.
This is so true ... 2-3 years from now, if you stay in the crypto game you will be one of the grassroots investors in alt-coins. The barrier to entry to buy most of the coins is huge to the average individual! For example if you want to buy Quarkcoin you have to first buy Bitcoins (not an easy thing to do) then go to an exchange and buy Quark. Most people dont have the patience to do that, as well as the know-how. Ask your parents you want some bitcoin for Christmas and they will have no clue where to start. And what about the mining? Took me 2 days to get a small rig setup to mine litecoin with all the hardware & code setup. This is the beginning... I absolutely agree that this is the beginning. Many of us are in it to make some quick money but I personally think it's more about waiting and trying to innovate. So far, it looks like we're on the right path and we will have a bright future. Cryptocurrencies will only be expanding through time, so yes I agree that it's only the beginning |
