1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: May 26, 2024, 01:22:21 PM
Millions of TPS that cost a fraction of cent vs 7 TPS that cost what $30 each?  What's not superior about it?  NFTs stored on chain?  The list is long.

Oh trust me, I know, I'm eating crow over here.

My hopium was blasted to smithereens.   I still think BSV is superior.

Do me a favor and just do 1 reply at a time, or combine multiple thoughts into 1 post, otherwise your secondary posts may be deleted by moderators.

Fair enough, for now, but what happens after this upcoming halving or next halving when the BTC blockchain reward isn't large enough to convince financially savvy miners to continue hashing when their mining costs exceed their rewards?  Sooner than later it's going to happen.  Transaction fees must replace rewards as the means of sustaining the security model.  How large do these fees need to become on BTC at only 7 tps???

This doesn't have anything to do with BSV. But to answer your question, we'll have to wait and see as its an unprecedented issue. For the next couple of decades I think it will be a non-problem. The current hash rate for BTC is incredibly high. Its fine if it drops a couple orders of magnitude; Bitcoin will still be the most secure blockchain several times over. All other PoW coins combined don't come close to matching the security of its chain.

Thank you for not mentioning Lightning Network as the solution.  It's a security weak bandaid.

19 million transactions on BSV blockchain on Dec 16th, 2023.

https://whatsonchain.com/compare-stats?comparisonType1=total_tx_count&comparisonType2=tx_count&days=90

BSV Terranode is processing millions of TPS now.  That's scaling.

OK, setting aside the entire debate about the inherent centralization risks imposed by BSV's scaling model, what good does scaling do for a coin if nobody wants to use it?

You're right. It's probably closer to 50/50 at this point in the trial.  I was mostly just poking the hornets nest and am surprised by the mostly muted response.  I think some of you have maybe lost some of the wind in your sails.

Even I think BSV @ $35 is a fair price.

I'm mostly just trying to be optimistic because the world needs a coin that scales and everyone knows BTC doesn't.

Independent of the fact that its such a hacky, elementary school solution to say that "increasing the block size = scaling", an important piece of info you seem to be overlooking: nobody wants to use a coin run by a con artist.

BSV Terranode is processing millions of TPS now.  That's scaling.

Craig is going to win this COPA trial and there's going to be a lot of cope here.  Roll Eyes

That is very wishful-thinking of you.  I'm not sure of your odds, but seems to be less than 50/50 from my limited point of view and some of the pieces of information (evidence and testimony) that I have heard about related to the trial, so far.

...He just came here to day the fraudster will win, but doesn't even mention why he thinks he will win.

You got me.  I'm mostly just trying to be optimistic because the world needs a coin that scales and everyone knows BTC doesn't.

So you've been holding on to a bags full of bsv shitcoins since 2021? How is it going for you so far?
Have you considered what will happen when this lying scumbag loses this trial?

I've been mining BSV since 2021.  I think I'm doing alright.  The upside is going to be huge if he wins... like astronomical if he wins.

If he loses I can't see BSV going lower than $35 / coin.

In my original post I specifically stated if you message me your personal details I will see to it that a current and ACCURATE quote / invoice will be sent to you.  It's obvious SFR10 that your goal is to undermine any credibility I may have had in this group and that's fine.  I've purchased multiple miners from this source as have others I have know.  Bitcoin miners are hard to find these days.  If you don't want my help finding one it doesn't hurt my feelings at all.  Feel free to buy elsewhere.  Doesn't hurt my feelings one bit.  I could really care less to be honest.

If I personally had 20,000 something units of miners I wouldn't keep them all in the same warehouse for a variety of reasons.  Would you???
Personally, I would prefer to have all of them in a single large warehouse, as opposed to a bunch of smaller ones [it's easier to maintain it (with a proper system in place) and the overall cost would be cheaper] but having said that, you have a point [I believe you're referring more to their safety & security, as opposed to easier shipping routes].

Am I correct to assume [based on the MOQ of 10] that the new ones that you've listed, are brand new?

Yes brand new

Despite being a low res image [I had no luck in finding that eBay listing], it's somewhat obvious that those packages/boxes are from Bitmain [with Antminer logo on their side], but based on the number of units that you've mentioned the other day, the image that you've included doesn't come close to those amounts [I haven't counted them, but it appears that they're probably around 500 units "only"].

Hey you guys don't know me, I wouldn't believe me either if I were you.  It's all good, I'm not that anxious to hook you guys up because my finders fee is very small.

I just figured it was worth a shot.  Look at my history I've been on this forums for a few years now, it's not like I just created this account yesterday.

If one of you decides it's worth the risk to get a legitimate quote then send me a PM with my requested information.  If not I hope you all have a great day.

I have finally found a reliable source of new and used ASIC miners in Canada.  Minimum purchase quantity on used miners is 5.  Escrow not available, you pay up front with VISA, Mastercard, wire transfer, e-transfer.

Inventory as of August 24th:
==================
Used s19 95T: 1000 units
New T19 88T: 150 units
New Avalon A1246 87T: 200 units
Used s15 28T: 200 units
Used T15 23T 800 units

Message me with your name, address, phone number and email address if you would like a quote sent to you on any of the above.

I know there are a LOT of scammers out there but my supplier is legit, myself and acquaintances have purchased from them multiple times and always received quality miners.
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon T2Ts reliable miners ? on: September 26, 2021, 01:39:59 PM
From my experience the T2Ts are good reliable miners even when used and slightly abused.  They only have a couple of problems in my opinion.  They're loud AF and not very efficient.  They're just barely more efficient than an Antminer S9.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying S19s from China (with trade assurance) on: September 26, 2021, 01:34:07 PM
I've never bought anything from alibaba before and im about to drop five figures on what will probably be s19s or s19j/s19jpros.

I know to use trade assurance, and look for a verified buyer, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips about the process.

Also, I was wondering if most people mine exclusively btc, or is there more splitting of resources.  Thanks.

The process if quite the same than ordering anywhere else.

If you have a good seller, just run and mine my friend !

You could mine BTC, BCH, DGB and some others with a SHA256 machine.

I always had good experiences with used chinese Antminer. They came in 5 days in general (I'm in Europe) and only had 32 euros of tax for each machine.

I'm here in ASIA and I have terrible problems with alibaba, certainly that's it "Find a good seller", how are u going to do that? The only way a person can get rich in CHINA is to cheat the buyer, and honest guy always loses in China.

The trouble now is that alibaba takes 10% on an order in fee's whether it ships, cancels or not, and if they send what is not ordered, it always costs more to return, than they think cost, and if u do return, they always deny they got the return; The seller has all the power on alibaba.com the buyer has no power.

Sure find a 'good seller', they'll lie tell u what you want to hear, buy one, and see; Might take years to find this 'unicorn', a better proposition is somebody on this forum tell us about this good seller? I have been here 20 years, I buy from baba weekly, and I have never found a 'good seller' of used equipment.

I have to agree with room101.  I have not heard anything good about buying used miners through Alibaba.  They're usually all corroded AF and you're lucky if half of them run when they arrive.  Forget about getting a refund from them, you'll never see your money back.  EBay as expensive as it is is a MUCH safer place to buy miners from.  You have a 30 day buyer guarantee, if the product doesn't arrive, doesn't work when it arrives or stops working within 30 days of arrival you get your money back.  You will pay more for miners off EBay but at least you will get more sleep at night.  I recommend buying from sellers with good reputation within your own country to sleep even better at night.  Wink
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Buying older ASIC-Miners and run them with cheap energy? on: September 26, 2021, 01:21:37 PM
Unfortunately there really aren't any "cheap" miners left on EBay.  When the price of BTC went over $20,000 the price of old miners doubled and then doubled again when BTC hit $40,000

That said I run Antminer T15s and have a reliable supply of vast amounts of new and used miners.  Message me if you're interested in purchasing.

Regarding controlling your miners from a distance I use Teamviewer.  It's a free desktop application (free for personal use that is).  They also have a nifty Android (and I imagine ios) app.  As long as you have a PC running on the same network your miners are you can log into that PC remotely using your phone and control your miners remotely as if you were sitting right in front of your PC.  This allows you to take miners in and out of lower power mode or sleep mode.  You can monitor how hot they're getting, update firmware, pretty much whatever you want remotely, securely and for free!

To calculate the cost of running old miners vs new I use asicminervalue.com this site lists ever miner ever released and how profitable it currently is.  You can even modify variables on their site like how much you're paying for electricity locally and in what currency!

Hope this helps you make your decision.  At 7c / kwh you can easily still make profit on older miners like Antminer S9s, T15s or S15s.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / SVPool.com on: September 26, 2021, 12:43:38 PM
Anyone else try mining BSV on SVPool.com recently?

I mined with 6 Antminer T15s for five days this week and have received 0 earnings, 0 payouts.  I submitted multiple requests for help and no response.  Is there anyone at the helm over there?  The whole darn thing must be on autopilot or something.  CSW I need your help!

Their pool statistics are showing they're like the second or third largest BSV pool in the world.  What gives?Huh
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WANRNING! Do Not Buy Antminer S9k on: January 25, 2020, 10:41:46 PM
I only have one Antminer S9K and haven't had any trouble with it whatsoever.  I purchased it from Bitmain beginning of November.
