1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing decision on: August 20, 2018, 04:16:54 PM
Never invest more than you are willing/able to lose. Bitcoin is a very risky investment and you should keep in that in mind at all times. After buying Bitcoins make sure to move them into your own personal wallet and never leave them at the exchange. Always start by educating yourself, Learn about the currency, what affects it, what are its advantages and disadvantages of the coin that you want to invest in.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why so much hype on crypto on: August 19, 2018, 05:56:58 AM
I totally agree with you. Many people fall victim to the hype surrounding every cryptocurrency-bubble. There is always somebody captured by FOMO (fear of missing out), buying massively in at the peak of a bubble, just in hope to make quick money, while not understanding cryptocurrencies at all. That’s a bad reason, don’t do this. Learn before you invest. If you want to invest in cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin is still a standard item of every portfolio but it is no longer the onliest asset. In every well-balanced crypto-portfolio today you find other coins or alt coins. You just have to read and do your research before investing your money.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My wife tell me that i should sell all of it. on: August 08, 2018, 05:16:04 PM
I would say don’t panic sell just because things are down. I would do some background research and try to figure out whether the crashes are related to the specific coins or not. The entire crypto market is in a protracted downturn. But once that downward pressure is removed, I’d expect most of these coins are going to bounce back. Maybe you can use this market crash to your advantage, like buying the dip. Buy when the prices are low and sell when the prices are high.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH so popular on: August 08, 2018, 04:53:46 PM
Ethereum allows developers to deploy all kinds of decentralized apps. Even though Bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency, it’s Ethereum’s aggressive growth that has many speculating it will soon overtake Bitcoin in usage. The average block time for Ethereum is significantly less than Bitcoin’s: 12 seconds versus 10 minutes. This translates into more block confirmations, which allows Ethereum’s miners to complete more blocks and receive more Ether.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will every crypto coin survive? on: August 03, 2018, 03:22:57 PM
As what I've read there are three kinds of tokens. Payment tokens the primary ones. Asset tokens, traditional securities like stocks and bonds. And lastly utility tokens, it provide digital access to an app or services. I think not all crypto coin will survive. Bitcoin will surely do as well as ethereum. But there are so many tokens produced from ICOs. I think tokens with real developers or real vision and mission will survive.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs? on: August 02, 2018, 03:00:53 AM
Well, it's a gamble most of the time. ICO and cryptocurrency remind us of the dot-com bubble, when anyone with a Powerpoint could raise millions of dollars without customers or even a product. How ICO market has grown. Change dot-com to ICO, substitute Powerpoint for whitepaper, and multiply the hype and you get an idea of the ICO market today. And invest money you can afford to lose. How much money would you be willing to lose with a small chance of reaping a large reward? But if it piques your interest or curiosity then invest in ICOs and cryptocurrency just to see what the environment looks like.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what causes the price of altcoin down? on: August 01, 2018, 03:20:17 AM
In 2017 BitCoin has risen from $1,000 to $20,000 before dropping to $13,000 at the end of the year. Since then, BitCoin's value has risen and dropped sporadically from day to day, dragging smaller cryptocurrencies like Ether and Ripple along with it. So BitCoin and AltCoin correlates with each other. If BitCoin is bullish, then Altcoin is bullish too. I think it is good for us to buy the dip and HODL. Value changes every minute, it won't stay stagnant.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of altcoins ? on: July 30, 2018, 10:32:15 AM
Advantage of altcoin versus bitcoin is that you can invest on a lot of altcoins and can double or triple your initial investment but if you will invest in bitcoin, you are only investing on one coin. The profit potential in investing on altcoins is enormous, that’s assuming if you have a little patience and go with fairly reputable altcoins.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: July 30, 2018, 09:55:30 AM
Crypto has been transforming the way that the world is conducting business and the way that we transfer money to others. So many dramatic shifts have happened that are of benefit to society as a whole. Try to educate people about crypto. The more they know about it, the more they want to invest on it. Teach them about cyber security and how it can improve our daily lives.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why is the crypto market down day after day? on: July 29, 2018, 09:14:11 AM
Crypto currency is on a slump right now. Probably investors are afraid to invest due to hacking incidents or security breaches. But in recent we saw some positive signs the market is going green from red. I'm not sure if it will stay that way or not. But I'm hoping for the best.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market tactics on: July 29, 2018, 06:54:30 AM
One way to weather a crash in cryptocurrency is to Hold On For Dear Life, a strategy that many in the industry refer to simply as HODL. This means buying cryptocurrencies and holding on to them for a substantial period of time, regardless of how much the digital assets fluctuate in value. Hold On For Dear Life then sell at the peak price.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when is safe to sell my alts? on: July 29, 2018, 05:07:42 AM
At the end of the day, you are the one using your hard-earned cash to purchase cryptocurrency. If you don’t understand the product, or the value, and you’re only listening to the so called experts then you are in for a big trouble and you might lose your life saving. Just don't be ignorant, read and learn the market. If you rely on someone other than yourself to buy crypto, you also have to rely on them to know when to sell. Don’t be a noob. Do your own research.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bounty campaigns and airdrop? on: July 28, 2018, 04:57:46 PM
Airdrop refers to the free distribution of small amounts of a certain virtual currency tokens to its community members for free, most likely by commenting your MEW address. Bounty campaign often have multiple tiers of token rewards for performing certain tasks like social media, signature, content and translation. Token rewards are then distributed after ICO.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE on: July 28, 2018, 03:14:48 PM
Ripple is described as basic infrastructure technology for interbank transactions a neutral utility for financial institutions and systems. XRP and bitcoin is being pushed by IMF towards mass adoption. So I think it would be best to invest in Ripple. It would be just matter of months for Ripple market to be bullish.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Addiction or depression! on: July 26, 2018, 05:27:37 PM
Crypto addiciton is a real thing. And it can destroy one's life and family. Spending a great deal of time on the activity of trading in cryptocurrencies, checking prices and constantly thinking about the activity. So that other occupations such as work, socializing and exercise do not get done. You have less time for your family and friends. People do need social time to function properly in real world. I think if you want to engage in crypto world you have to be open to your wife or loved ones. So that you have someone to talk to when you needed one.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty is like a Box Chocolate on: July 26, 2018, 04:32:23 PM
I agree with that because if the bounty campaign that you've joined is a successful one then you will get nice rewards, full of chocolates indeed. But if it's not successful, rewards will be lower than what you've expected. Just choose the battle you fight.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did I get to the crypto world. on: July 25, 2018, 08:22:28 AM
You've inspired me to work even harder to reach my goals in crypto world. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. Thank you very much for your wonderful story about the crypto world.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are cryptocurrencies here to stay? on: July 23, 2018, 04:54:49 AM
Yeah, I think so cryptocurrencies are here to say. We are entering an age of revolution and evolution. People are always finding ways to make life easier. Inventing things like cars, planes etcetera. People are in for the comfort. Blockchain and cryptocurrency is in that category. So I think over the years blockchain will improve along with cryptocurrency to make our life easier and more for us to enjoy life. So that's why I think cryptocurrencies are here to stay.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is crypto making the world go crazy? on: July 21, 2018, 04:47:56 AM
Crypto is making the world go crazy because of the promise of a better life. Everyone wants to be rich and live a comfortable life. People are putting all their faith in crypto and are hoping to hit the jackpot. One good investment and everything will change. Life, career and future. Crypto world is a lot of risks but the pay off is so great that people are willing to put everything on the line.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is For Risk Takers on: July 21, 2018, 04:20:12 AM
Taking risks is very scary and intimidating. It's the fear of the unknown. Most people tend to avoid risks when possible, because doing nothing is much safer than doing something. But most successful people will tell you they got to where they are because they were willing to take risks no one else was. Whether that was developing a product nobody else thought would work, betting a large sum of money on a poker game or any sports or investing a sum of money everyone else thought was crazy. Risks is part of the business. You just have to equip yourself with knowledge and experience. And this forum is very helpful if you want to invest in crypto currency.
