If you want to mine, you have to use a gpu miner, the difficulty is quite high now for cpus

The easiest way, is to follow the instructions at:

This says to get the GUIMiner, which you can download from: https://guiminer.org/
you will have to connect to 127.0.0.1:7427
Create a marketcoin.conf config file in the marketcoin directory and run the miner.
You have to start the wallet with -server flag and connect the miner to 127.0.0.1:7427

My marketcoin.conf looks like this:
