1  Local / Pamilihan / Telegram Scammer pakyuka! on: October 26, 2018, 04:56:24 AM

2  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: What is the right solution for BOUNTY HUNTERS ? on: October 26, 2018, 04:19:31 AM
Isa ako sa mga nalaglag from JR.MEMBER to NEWBIE AGAIN.

3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 40 Interesting Facts About Bitcoin You Don't Know on: October 26, 2018, 04:06:18 AM
Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology behind it can come to most people as a complex and difficult to understand technology. However, some famous experts and analysts make this technology and crypto money understandable.

Here are the words that best describe Bitcoin and Blockchain:

Vitalik Buterin (co-founder of Ethereum)
“Most technologies automate employees so that they can do simple tasks, while Blockchains create a automation process where the center is not available. Blockchain technology allows the taxi driver to do business directly with the customers, instead of dismissing the taxi driver.”
Bob Greifeld (Former Nasdaq CEO)
“I believe that Blockchain technology can make fundamental changes in the infrastructure of the financial services industry. Swap rooms are a great invention, but if you have a reliable public book, you can go back to a world of two-sided trading and process payments instantly. Currently, payments are credited 3 days after the transaction date. Why not pass in 5-10 minutes?”
Al Gore (Former US Vice President)
“In my opinion, it is very important that an algorithm in the Bitcoin universe replaces government functions. I'm a big fan of Bitcoin.”
Sir Richard Branson (founder of the Virgin Group)
“I believe the potential because I invested in Bitcoin, the capacity it has to transform global payments is very exciting. We are quite satisfied as a general approach adopted by people, as clearly seen for all of us. Great payment networks: There is a real desire for more control, freedom and level of scrutiny about what is in our money, Bitcoin is addressing these concerns and so many people believe that it represents the future.”
Dr. Eric Schmidt (Former Google CEO)
“Bitcoin is a remarkable success in cryptography and it is very valuable to create something that cannot be copied in the digital world. Extremely useful for many computer application.”
Peter Thiel (Entrepreneur and venture capitalist)
“I doubt against most of the crypto coins. People are scornful of Bitcoin, especially because they resemble reserve currencies. It's just like gold, because they see it as a value storage tool. You don't have to use Bitcoin to make payments. However, if Bitcoin is to be the cyber equivalent of gold, it still has a great potential. Bitcoin can be digged like gold, but it's also hard to dig under Bitcoin. And more limited in this sense.”
Bill Gates (founder of Microsoft)
“Bitcoin is a technological show of power.”
James Gorman (CEO of Morgan Stanley)
“Bitcoin is definitely more than just a joy. Very interesting concept of an anonymous money. Interesting because of the answer to the control power of the central banking system, interesting because it provides privacy protection to people.”
Edmund Moy (former director of the US Mint)
“As an exchange tool, Bitcoin offers many unique innovations to the money: global nature, infinite divisibility and easy to carry.”

4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Proofread before posting on: October 26, 2018, 04:04:34 AM
Proofread simply means to crosscheck a written text either for spelling/grammar/punctuation etc errors..This is a recurring problem we're currently facing on this forum and it is simply disrespectful as it disregards the forum and it's members..

This is a public forum represented duly by citizens from almost all countries of the world, when trying to pass across a message that will be read by that much people,it is only proper to scrutinize/crosscheck what you're about to post..

One major reason for this is laziness and negligence, laziness in the fact that one scribbles down points to be posted but doesn't find it necessary to go through it to correct errors made inadvertently or even wrong corrections made by our phone prediction
Negligence is also another reason for this, the feeling
that as long as the forum is anonymous and no user knows the other personally, then there is no need striving for coherence and being totally articulate.

This happens to be one of the reason why noobs do not get merited,no member/merit source will like to merit a "half baked"message or one written incoherently, that others will have to struggle to understand what's being said

Always proofread/go through your post/new thread/comment before posting it, even if you missed some corrections before posting, simply edit the post and correct them before others start viewing them
It'll only help to promote the forum and help one rank up faster

It does not matter to me as long as I understand what others meant. You dont really have to master the english language because you are not an english major and if your field does not require it why bother?

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to regain access to your accounts if you your Google Auth Device on: October 24, 2018, 02:41:11 AM
I once lost a device with my Google Authenticator...Luckily, I had only 2 accounts on it. It was frustrating thou. So I decided to post this so that some newbies like me will not make the same mistake.

Write down BACKUP CODES!
Most sites provide you with backup codes when you create 2FA. These can be used once in case you do not have access to authenticator. Write them down and store in 2 physically different locations.

Double Device 2FA
You can also set up your 2FA on two devices whenever you enable 2FA or create a new account.

Write down the QR code
Click the "show code" or "can't read the QR code?" and get a text version that you can then write down. Dont forget to label the QR code or text code is (e.g. "2FA for KuCoin").

NOTE:
Keep your username, password, and 2FA phrase/QR code/recovery codes separate. If they are together, then it's no longer 2FA.

While writing your codes down, write it twice in case you overlook something. Write it down, and set up Google Authenticator from the key you wrote down (not the one on the screen), then verify via the code that displays on your phone. All to be on a safe side.

I have also experience this kind of scenario with my Kucoin account and I have not manage to retrieve it. I dont care about it anymore though. I dont have much in that account anyway. Lesson learned: DO NOT LOSE YOUR PHONE.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Token value not showing in MyEtherWallet / Ethplorer on: October 24, 2018, 02:34:15 AM
I have some tokens which i gained from joining airdrops and bounties. Some of them have their value showing in Ethplorer.io and some dont.

Is there anything i can do to see a token's value (like for instance Brickblock (BBK), which is on coinmarketcap)? Or is there anything the token issuer could do to arrange this? Or is there nothing we can do and we just have to wait?

Basically the ones with displayed values are the coins which are listed in coinmarketcap.com (I hope you are familiar about this site). Otherwise, those tokens showing no values do exist but not listed on CMC perhaps in the process of listing.

I am just waiting to be a Junior member to finally join signature campaign. Maybe others would tell that this would be the last thing to be taught to us newbies but while we are still learning I think it's best that we also get involved in this kind of campaigns so we earn while we learn. Thanks to this step-by-step tutorial.

Which fiat exchange is best to convert Eth to USDT? With simple steps and easy process?
Please share your experience.
Thanks.

I think the best fiat exchange is the one with which your country is using. Because no matter how much you gained from cryptocurrency, you will end up withdrawing it in a fiat currency your country is using.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Introduction & my journey to the crypto world on: October 22, 2018, 07:29:15 AM
Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to the cryptocurrency world and definately a late-comer.

My journey into the crypto world started last year when i was invited to a telegram faucet bot which later turned out to be scam, then later on i came across an airdrop topic on a forum which led me to a whatsapp group which i joined then i participated in a telegram bot airdrop called Bitcoin white (BTW) and some other airdrops for like a week then i stopped particpating in airdrop and never opened the group chat again.

Then ealier this year i decided to check what was going on in the group then luckily for me the topic they where all taalking about was how 1 BTW (bitcoin white) was $0.74/1 and i had 1500, i was very happy and sold only 500 which am regreting because i still have my remaining 1000 BTW (Bitcoin WHite) with me even till now and it's now nearly worthless, then i decided to check my eth wallet to check which coin i had received there, i didn't see anything then i realised that my wallet wasn't Ecr20 compatible, it was really painful so i asked the group how i could get an Ecr20 compatible wallet and i was told to get Imtoken wallet app or use myetherwallet site or metamask chrome extension for pc so i decided to get the Imtoken app then that's how i began doining airdrop and never quit, then last month someone sent me a link to a topic on this forum explaining what bounties was and how to partispate in them. So that's how i also started bounties.

I'm still not sure how much i can contribute to this forum or even if there is anything i can contribute because there are lots of crypto masters here. I'am sure most of my posts will just be my bounty reports, but i just decided to post my introduction and my crypto journey.

Just as I am, I dont know how much I can contribute to this forum but I think replying to post or posting quality topics, the ones which is informative and really helpful, is one way to contribute to this forum. Even if I am just a newbie, I still believe I can make difference to this forum by sharing my knowledge, and participating in the campaigns.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: some good info about bitcoin on: October 22, 2018, 06:57:29 AM
Things you should learn about bitcoin is that BITCOIN, just like any other cryptocurrencies, is not scam. Think of it as a digital currency so how will it become a scam? Just for example you have US Dollars and you dont do something about it, it's just currrency and will remain a currency. But if you make projects that involves bitcoin or we say US Dollars and your purpose is to scam people well that does not change BITCOIN as a cryptocurrency. The scammer are the ones who makes fraudulent projects to earn BTC and not the BITCOIN itself.

I hope you get my point because everytime I tell my friends about bitcoin they always said it's scam. Haist people nowadays!
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the important knowledge we need to learn here? on: October 22, 2018, 06:43:34 AM
Hello guys,

Straight to the question, What information is the most important to learn about cryptocurrency related topics and that are vital to earn?
I'm also curious, Why do people want bitcoin/ethereum so badly?

Experts may help newbies, jr. members and me of course from your answers.
If this thread is not suitable/may be a spam or not helpful I'll delete/remove this thread.

The most important to learn when trying to involved yourself in the cryptocurrency world is that, "NO ONE GET RICH WITH CRYPTO REAL QUICK" unless he scam others.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Lose to gain on: October 22, 2018, 06:18:51 AM
Having learned many things about cryptocurrency is a great advantage but it does not guarantee that you would be successful, ALWAYS. Being positive/optimistic is a plus. When you lose in a trade, in bounty camps, even in your personal life when you lose to your problems, you actually gain. You gain experience, you became more competent, wiser than ever before, so dont be afraid to lose. Just keep improving just as Michael Jordan said JUST DO IT.

I don't know if this topic should be here but, I want to ask, How can I apply for translation campaign without any portfolio? or How can I get portfolios? thanks. Smiley

It is just like looking for a job without experience(s) and the job requires you to have at least two (2) years experience. I mean how do you get experience if they require you to have experience when you are still newbie?
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you keep your wallet data safe? on: April 18, 2018, 12:58:56 PM
Write it down in a paper then fold it to the size of your wallet. Just make sure to not lost your wallet.
