I withdrew ALQO a few days ago and it was very very fast (within 1-2 minutes). Now I have repeated the operation and after around 2 hours I still don't see the ALQO in my wallet.
Is it normal, that sometimes it takes much longer? What does it depend on?
Thanks

Ripple may go very high and still it's disgusting. Will take profit of shitcoins from time to time, but I refuse to play along with this BS. Will let others make money here.

Contrary to many, I think crypto is in a bubble but not very big yet. However, I do think ICOs are in a clear bubble and therefore, I would rather wait and see the coin listed on a exchange before buying it. Projects that IRL don't get a penny get milions here...

If you look at the top50 coins you will see that lots of them are actually quite crappy, redundant or don't belong there. So yeah, they can crash. Actually, crashes happen very often in crypto.

Hahaha I think there is no question of what Altcoins that will make you rich in 2018. Its a matter of hard work and determination that will make you rich. if you do not work to get this altcoins you will not get to riching. Any altcoins will make you rich of course it just depends on how well will it work for you and how will you work hard for you to get it.
Good points and I share a similar view in this aspect. It would be awesome if one of my altcoin investments makes me rich this year, but I am not holding my breath. I am focusing on HODLING all my altcoin investments for the long term without thinking too much about the short term. Currently, I am HODLING litecoin, dashcoin, deeponion, funfair, ethereum, ripple, stellar lumens and electroneum. I feel that Electroneum will return the best gains for me in the long term while funfair and deeponion might help me earn some quick profits in the short term. I am looking at other potential winners this year so that I can add them to my portfolio. I disagree. You may not work hard, hit the right coin and become rich. I think we have seen this over and over and over in crypto... Of course, many people will be left behind.

Well, I'm joining this project Seems interesting. I still need to see if the TOR network is a feature much appreciated by people or not, let's see. Let's hope it is A question. I imagine that every anon coin has a different protocol (or at least, some of them). Does it make sense to implement all of them (the ones that are not exclusive; my guess is that some are noto)? Will they be implemented? This is a complete noob question, I haven't read about anon coins and I have no idea. Wanna learn a bit more. Thanks

I'm a Newbie. Please Brief What do you meant by ICO.
ICO stands for Initial Coin offering. It's basically a way to 'invest' into a new coin/project. People pay money through btc/eth/etc to a group/business and give you a share of the coins/new tech they will develop. Similar to an IPO where you buy shares of a company.

Not really, Low market cap means no one interested enough of that coins. Take a look at XVG 1 years ago, low market cap with single digit satosi per coins. who knows maybe if you invest in this coin 1 years back it can give you 900x return? No one knows this, like many already mention, low caps means more risk but more risk= more reward.
That's not true. Many new projects are born and that's the reason they have low market cap. You can't expect a new -or even a not so new- project to start with a high cap. It doesn't make sense. If there's no product, cap should be small. Alright, some coins are not following the above statement but that's an irrational market which is far from the mean, but everything falls into place with time.

Can thousands of startups, users and companies go down? They can. Likely? Well, not so much, they will fight to survive. Same with bitcoin. There is no crypto without bitcoin for now.
|
|
|
Another option would be to use a different coin for the transfers.
Sell btc for X, move X, buy bitcoin. This way it will be faster. Sometimes makes more sense, specially when network is overloaded.

The truth is that it's the only one fast enough to take the top positions in such a short time frame. However, many coins have experienced the same hype and projections and have failed to achieve that. It seems different this time as speed is not just reduced but instant and there ar eno fees but... Who knows.
IMO, if raiblocks was in all exchanges, I would never send bitcoin to/from exchanges anymore. No fees and insta, which compared to bitcoin...
And still, I'm not sure what will happen. Lots of competition around. The best tech not always succeeds.

Even if bitcoin is not the market cap top, it will be the king for quite a while imo. It's the coin which gives trust to the whole system. No bitcoin, no trust. No matter what. It's also much more spreaded than any other coin, better liquidity and well known.

There has always been lots of hype with anonymous coins. I don't think ZER coin could be considered a big pump. Sure it went up but it's not like you can cash it out because there is no market really.

It was later confirmed that the so called unscheduled maintenance was due to the authorities (FBI) going into their data center and gathering evidence about the coins deposited from Mt. Go to BTC-e. They said that they will resume by Aug. 6 but I doubt it will happened that quick. Also worth mentioning that they will return funds for its customers. But the question is how long will it take them to give back the funds to its users. Stop hoping for this exchange to come back. The owner itself is on the jail and crying. This must give a lesson for all traders that don't let your coins stay on an exchange. All exchange has a chance to collapse even though how trusted they are right now
They already refuse to acknowledge or maintain any connection with Vinnik. Yes, this is really an eye opener who still believes that having your life savings in an exchange is safe. Like we always says here, if you don't have control of the private keys, its not your coin. Also the Mt. Gox incident should already thought us a lesson or two. I'm just sayin'. Where can I read about this? What do I have to do? Thanks
