I also use Delta's PWM at my rigs. As the other said, the possible thing is those fans have refurbished ( adding old motor into the new case), even the case was broken. As far as I know, Delta fans case was a solid and strong enough. Next, maybe you also need to add PWM controlling board ( with slight modifications to the wiring scheme) to manage all of your running fans ( for adjusting fan speed needed at several conditions). On some rigs I have used to PWM of the motherboard in order to regulate the speed based on the graphic cards temperature (with fancontrol on linux). I thought that it will prevent them from burning, but there was no change. Some died even if they were running at 70% max speed. In my setup, tree fans are used for each server case, and they are powered by the same atx cable that is able to sustain 20A (same as the graphic cards) so there should be no issue there. The three fans take about 8A so there's a room for it.

In the meanwhile, I have three fans that litteraly broke. I've contacted the Delta company in order to know if there's a way to find out if these fans aren't originals.

Hi,
I'm sorry to insist, but I really need to have access of the parameters of the extension board outside Windows. Please give us something, a simple web page with json data would be perfect.

yeah, looks like they've used old motors on new blades and bodies. Even cloned Deltas wouldn't die that fast. When you say 'dead' are they just not turning anymore, or locked solid/hard to turn by hand?
I mean they are not turning anymore. And yes, I also suspected they used old motors on new bodies... I'm going to see if customer service of Alibaba is trustworthy...

The voltage is good, I have checked it. It comes from IBM 2950W server PSU. The graphic cards are also powered by it and I never had a problem with them. Here is an image of the scratches I found on the fans when I received them.

Hi, I have recently tried to put all my miners in server case, and in order to do it, I needed good fan in order to push some fresh air in it. I bought 100 x delta fans on alibaba from here : https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/DELTA-QFR1212GHE-12-volt-dc-cooling_60637647291.htmlBut I must admit that was not a great move because the fans are dying one by one. Some work for several days, then they just stoped. For now, I've installed about 30 fans, and more that 10 fans are already dead (in a period of one month). I'm thinking of bad quality fans, but they were supposed to be new Delta fans. Another issue is that there are several scratches of the back of the fans, what make me think that they are not new, even if the plastic seems new. The seller is telling me that the products are original and new, and if they stopped working it is because of a too high temperature. But in my case, the temperature of the room is about 30-40°C and I don't think it should be an issue. What are your thoughts about that ? Do you have any serious seller on alibaba where I could buy another batch of fans ?

MSI Z270-A PRO with 7 GPU used to run fine for almost a year. Suddenly yesterday I had ~50 restarts so I tried to figure out what is going on. Didn't find any suspicious change notes so I started to review my hardware. First: It is mining well for about 4-10 minutes then it shows error "gpu fault detected 147" after this error all GPUs still mining for about 10 seconds then instantly reboots with command: "sysrq resetting" which isn't any watchdog of Claymore. What I tried already: reduced OC, increased voltage, different PSU, brand new risers, checked all cables if they are burned or heating up fast (all were fine, healthy and cold) and it's no change. Guys what has happened, have you any suggestions? My script which worked fine for some time looks like this: -wd 1 -r 1 -epool eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -ewal wallet.$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -dcri 14 Strange I had the exact same issue from tuesday. A rig that was working perfectly from months, suddenly reboot every few minutes with these kind of errors. I have removed one of the cards, and now it's more stable. So may be it's indeed a riser issue. No time to check further for now.

Hi,
I have write a web application where I can monitor the srr from web browser using the webpage of the rigresetter. Now that I bought the extension board, I would like to monitor it also, but it doesn't appear on the webpage of the rigresetter. Is there anyway that I can retrieve these informations ?
Thanks.
Right now only way is to do that via SRRTool programm unser windows. But i have few ideas that i will want to implement into Resetter and web dahsboard of SRR is one of them. In the meantime, can't you just make an simple API in order to request these parameters ? Using Windows for this is so lame...

Hi,
I tried "OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2" with my 6 x 1080ti, but I only went from 35Mh/s to 40Mh/s. Anyone else in my case ?
Mystery solved ! It seems I had a very old version of SimpleMining on this rig since it was running for a very long time. So I flashed a newer version and now I go from 35MH/s to 51Mh/s. Excellent ! Hello, How did you manage to use OhGodAnETHlargementPill-r2 on smos? Thanks 1. You need to connect to your rig with ssh. 2. Open a screen with : screen 3. Type : sudo /root/utils/OhGodAnETHlargementPill -revA 0,1,2,3 (where 0, 1, 2, 3 are the ids of the GPU) 4. Detach the screen with : Ctrl + A + D (so it can run in background in the screen)

What are your OC settings? Eth is very memory sensitive. With my 1080ti at stock I was getting about 45Mh/s, however upping the memory +600 I was able to get around 53 MH/s.
Core : -200 Memory : +700 Power Limit : 200W Yours ?

I already try with a ASUS Prime Z270-P and it works perfectly with 8 cards (6 on pcie and 2 on the m2 with this adapter) on linux. You may have to update the BIOS and make some change in the BIOS in order to make it work.

It works well here. I was at 200 sols/s, now I'm about 270 sols/s. So there's an improvement.
Thanks for your job.

I wonder also, why the miner (zogminer) seems to reboot frequently ? All seems ok, but every hour or so, the process are stopped and restarted. In the case of nicehash, sometimes it needs several minuted before the mining be fully working. So there's a bit of waste here.

Hi,
it would be great if we could set the fans to the desired value. I set it up manually, but it seems that the system reboot the miner regulary and it resets the fan too.

Does the zogminer work with nicehash ? I tried to mine directly in BTC with the option "equihash.eu.nicehash.com:3357 1AjF4gNMQb7okqdTKgYZatee8XmaAtqTcs.$rigName x" but it does hang forever with Zcash Miner version v1.0.0-beta2-ad6750f (2016-10-31 10:17:41 +0100) ZcashMinerThread started [OPENCL]:Found suitable OpenCL device [Hawaii] with 4228907008 bytes of GPU memory [OPENCL]:Using platform: AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing [OPENCL]:Using device: Hawaii(OpenCL 2.0 AMD-APP (1800.11)) [OPENCL]:Printing program log [OPENCL]:"/tmp/OCLhqTue0.cl", line 288: warning: integer conversion resulted in a change of sign v[14] ^= -1; ^
