Is someone able to help with the error 699? I am still not be able to harvest. Thanks. edit: saw a thread at the off. forums. sorry. I have the same problem as discussed before (see under this post). Getting error 699, tried to stop/start delegated harvesting; Start/stop local harvesting, no change at all. I don´t understand that. Can i connect with a remote node?What is a node? At my settings there appears "localhost", delegated harvesting is active; but when i try to start delegated harvesting: Error 699. Thanks a lot! ..Too..many..posts... Could you please answer this one?  Will local node and remote node have to run at the same time to do delegated harvesting?
No they don't have to run at the same time. Only the node you're harvesting on needs to run. Anything else would defeat the point of the excecise. Ah nice.. So the approach is: - Setup remote node with NIS and NCC - Set remote node's address in local settings -> host - Activate delegated harvesting Is this correct? I would first setup a local NIS and NCC and get that working to be sure that there is no principal problem. Then activate delegated harvesting. Meanwhile you can setup a remote NIS. Once the delegated harvesting is activated (needs 360 blocks) shut down local NIS and start remote NIS with the remote key as boot key. Then change setting in ncc to connect to the remote NIS. |

Hi, is it normal, that one get no block rewards (fee 0.00)? I have around 450k vested balance, running delegated harvesting.

I have a question, i have here on a sheet of paper my adress, and keys (also private key).
My question is: The adress wich begin with an "N", does it contain 0 (zero) or the letter "O".
And what are the O or 0 ´s in the private and public keys. Please explain, thank you!

I know everyone is excited for NEM to be released (me in included  ) but just let the developers do their job. It's good that people are thinking about marketing but for right now that is not a priority, we need a product first, it needs to work and be stable. I look at it like building a house, the foundation has to be solid, if it isn't then you will have problems with the house and will need ongoing repairs. Let the dev's take the time they need to build a solid foundation so time won't be wasted later on doing repairs. Agree... I also think that if we want to go beyond the criptocurrency community; there are a lot of work to be done. Just for mention, stable release (beta?), easy installation, some ecosystem (merchants) available, etc. In this context, I was thinking that, at some point, maybe it could be nice to have some sort of NEM foundation that can be (but not restricted to, to keep the decentralized nature of the movement) a reference to organize and promote it. That also could help to organize big initiatives, promote the use in communities, etc. I don't known... what do you think about it? why? ethereum is prominent in the public eye with nothing released.. not even an ipo. so was darkwallet.. and they are eagerly anticipated and the attention they got because of it brought in new developers.. new investors.. marketing should start the second it can be purchased on AE. at that stage people can buy in and help grow the nem eco system.. bring in new coders who can buy in and then help grow their investment.. why should we hide ourselves from new developers/investors. we have got everything that ethereum has bar a front man.. which if needed i would someone would step up.. i would but iv never done public speaking before so not sure how that would work out! probably not too good lol and i dont have the finances to do it. also im not a dev or in core team so wouldnt have the credibility others do. yes i agree wait until atleast alpha before any major marketing starts if not longer.. but whats the problem with atleast getting a bit of a buzz going around about nem after launch on AE? as long as we dont make any promises of having this or that feature and never say this WILL happen or by THIS date we will do x, y, z... then we cant disapoint anyone.. but still have created a buzz.. ps.. im not stopping anyone from doing there jobs.. I also agree - marketing should start now!Why not? Soon there´s the possibility to trade NEM (through nxt asset exchange).More attention, first in the cryptoscene and later beyond, is important. |

It has been changed: www.ournem.com; I dropped charity for friendship (is comradeship better) because I think the latter is better for our goal. Charity is very good and we will do a bunch of them but it could be at more individual level imo. A new economy based on the principles of financial freedom, decentralization, equality and friendship. The world we live in could be made better. We could make trade and finance fairer when we use a decentralized currency and reduce the influence of the established capital. We could prevent the corruption of centralized power when we embrace grassroots movement and decentralization. We could support the the principle of equality to give all people a fair chance in life. We could transform the boss-employee hierarchical relationship in most conventional working environments to one where people are partners and friends and making decisions in a democratic fashion. NEM community advances its ideas and projects via Nemcoin premier decentralized technological platform. /clap  !!! But...what is the difference to nxt?;-) |
