Good to know, thanks for sharing!
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 APW9+ FAN problem on: August 07, 2020, 08:29:23 PM
The one that you bought should work, is pretty equivalent in terms of CFM/performance/specs:

https://imgur.com/a/TpJJVgG – First graphic is the Sunon specs, second one the original Nidec.

PS: Please also advise if you know any online store selling two wire 40x40x28 15k RPM fan's and not shipping from China.

Why 15k RPM? Afaik the 17 series fans work @ 7k RPM at max.
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces Antminer T19 84Th on: June 01, 2020, 05:03:38 PM
Maybe LPM it's unreliable with the lower quality of T series chips, so they don't risk enabling it... But sure, it's something to take into account in some cases.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Bitmain introduces Antminer T19 84Th on: June 01, 2020, 08:48:18 AM
So they just released the T model for the 19 series, with 84Th (±3%) and 3150W (±5%) --> 37.5 J/TH (±5%)

It's more efficient than the S17+/Pro, and close to the limit of 3250W for "home usage".

Delivery end of june, but it's already sold out. It's available through resellers though.

Bitmain official price is ¥13,976 or ~ 1,960usd + shipping and taxes

UPDATE: It's now available at the English site too, for $1,749 usd and delivery end of June.

Hey! I have one in Europe, how much are you willing to pay?
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitmain shipping? Coronavirus effects? on: April 19, 2020, 03:55:10 PM
Just to follow up and close, they ended up being delivered in late March... Hope you all received your gear in less time Smiley
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Is Bitmain shipping? Coronavirus effects? on: February 09, 2020, 10:28:59 PM
Hey there! I have a couple orders from Bitmain that went into “ship” status for few days but nothing happens. Is because of the Chinese New Year, Coronavirus...? What do you think?

Also, do you have orders in place that are actually shipping?

Thanks in advance!
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Heat Calculations on: February 05, 2020, 01:23:01 PM
Don't use refrigeration it will kill any profit you can attain from running gear. I posted in your other thread and as long as you have ambient temps below 40C (This is max) you just need to be sure you are removing the exhaust air.

Just do this, it's the best option by far. If possible, make it a 2 chamber: one cold chamber for the miners to intake and the other warm chamber to exhaust. Just make sure to extract all the warm air from the second chamber and you will be good and without AC.

Hey, I have 20 x S9 for sale with Bitmain PSU in Spain. Let me know if interested.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Full Access" to hosted miner. How does that sound? on: February 03, 2020, 12:44:21 PM
I don't remember quoting any of your posts, my post was for the OP, but it's a good thing that you took it as an advice, common sense is key when dealing with people online, things like cheap power in the second most expensive country on planet earth is pretty shady, and needs a lot of research. I wish you luck.

You are right. Sorry, my mistake Smiley
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Full Access" to hosted miner. How does that sound? on: February 02, 2020, 08:47:02 PM
Have you personally gone to Switzerland and checked that yourself? because according to Swiss grid cost per kWh seems more expensive than the rest of the world, I know there may be exceptions, but most certainly not for data-centers.
Thanks for your experienced words, but I just said "I might be interested". Of course I would do the proper checks before sending any machine to a random old fart in the internet, I might be a newbie here, but not in real life Wink

I got an offer for 2 years, room and electricity, that's what I have to pay in advance.
I will move my miners from China at 3. Feb. and install them for testing.
From then on you can "see" how it works ;-)

Very interesting, please keep us informed. I can come over to meet you and visit the place any weekend if you are available.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Full Access" to hosted miner. How does that sound? on: January 23, 2020, 06:15:16 PM
I might be interested, have around 20-25 Antminer S9 to start. Potentially I could add 50+ more.
14  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing + stuck with old Firmware on: June 15, 2019, 09:07:24 PM
The IPReporter reset worked perfectly for most of the units, thanks!! Smiley

Will try flashing via SD with the others.
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S9 not hashing + stuck with old Firmware on: June 04, 2019, 07:41:55 AM
I would try a different control board that you know is good, so that you can tell if the hashboards are damaged or not.

Ok I will try that then. I was just wondering if I could do something else before swapping boards and stuff Smiley

Will let you know. Thanks!
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / S9 not hashing + stuck with old Firmware on: June 03, 2019, 10:18:15 AM
I bought a used S9 13.5Th (not S9i nor S9j) last week and I'm having some issues trying to upgrade it to the latest firmware. That wouldn't be much problem per se, but with the current firmware it's not even hashing (shows 0.0Gh/s). Right now it has the version from May 3rd 2017, which let you chose the frequency (550,600,650). Here you have the Sytem details:

Code:
Miner Type                 Antminer S9
Hostname                   antMiner
Model                         GNU/Linux
Hardware Version      16.8.1.3
Kernel Version            Linux 3.14.0-xilinx-gb190cb0-dirty #57 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 9 14:49:22 CST 2016
File System Version    Wed May 3 18:58:52 CST 2017
BMminer Version        2.0.0
Uptime                        9:33
Load Average             0.17, 0.29, 0.35

So far I have tried:

  • Restart from GUI
  • Reset from GUI
  • Reset using button
  • Replacing PSU with a know good one
  • Upgrading to ALL S9 firmwares from Bitmain download page --> ALL of them failed to install, "Incorrect Firmware!!" - including the firmware that right now is installed  Huh
  • Also tried the Antminer S9 Fix Upgrade firmware -->  "Incorrect Firmware!!"

Screenshots for reference --> https://imgur.com/a/93ErMhr

Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. Smiley
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: April 13, 2019, 07:33:20 AM
hmm 4 fans... that will be different than the t15/s15 then that means the adapter to hook to ducting will be different as the screws will be different placements. working on the 3d printed adapters now, will adjust the screw holes to fit this layout.

By any chance, do you already have an S15 ducting adapter 3D design done? I would be very interested on it Roll Eyes
18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 March 4th, 2019 firmware experience? on: April 09, 2019, 02:44:05 PM
Any problems SSHing into your boxes?  Other than 2/~90 I had problems with last night, all allowed it yesterday, but this morning, they are all blocking it.  This is hobbling Awesome Miner.

I now have all S9s working at a friend's place and unfortunately have no direct access to them, so can't test it out, but I don't remember testing SSH after the firmware upgrade since I don't really need it  Undecided
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: April 09, 2019, 09:13:27 AM
My S15s will ROI faster than buying any of the new S17 at current prices... Better to wait couple months to buy in my opinion too. Also, many few units were available for sale, so difficulty should not jump heavily.
20  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 March 4th, 2019 firmware experience? on: April 09, 2019, 09:03:00 AM
Been running this fw in 21 miners for 1 month and no issues so far, I recommend it  Smiley
