1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Cryptonight Mining remotely profitable? on: April 11, 2018, 04:19:21 PM
Hello everyone reading this

I've made an account on this forum just to ask this question (I hope I'm writing it in the correct forum and sub-forum  Tongue):

Are cryptonight ASIC miners remotely profitable?

I've heard and seen all the videos of the new miners being complete "scams", only being sold out to make a last-ditch effort to make a profit of-of them before they become worthless.
But recently I've had an idea: Since there are still coins running on the older algorithm and Nicehash still providing the option to mine on the older algorithm (also stating that the cryptonight miners are profitable in the current day even after the monero fork), are these miners still scams even with some hefty price reductions (i.e the Baikal "Giant N" miner which on asicminervalue.com has an ROI of approx. 45 days https://imgur.com/a/wefz6 )?

In short: Are these miners worth the money (because it seems like you can still mine with them and make a profit) or are they complete ****?

Over and out
